Banana Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment?

Okay, so today I was on a work phone call and decided to give Bennett his daily "Nana" and plop him in front of the TV so I could get my call done. This is how I found him 15 minutes later! He was as happy as could be with his banana hair treatment. Who knows, maybe he's on to something or maybe it's just fun to smash a banana all over your head. I dare you to find out on your own!

Nacho...

Nacho loves his ball and the kids think it's the coolest thing ever. Okay, so I really am not going to start blogging a ton about our pet but when there is nothing else to blog about, this is what you get!

Journals...

I have been thinking a lot lately about journals and their importance. ( not that mine is up to date!) I am so grateful for those prophets who had such great faith and kept records so we could have the Book of Mormon today. Anyhow, I decided that I wanted to get my kids journaling. So we all went to the craft store and they each picked out a book and stickers to decorate it. The kids had so much fun doing this little project. Then I wrote something in Bennett's about him, Garrett told me what he wanted written in his and Alexis wrote in her's. We decided that each night before bed they will write something in their journal about that day. On a side note, I think Garrett has watched one too many " Go Diego Go!" cartoons because he calls his little book his "field journal."

Drum roll please....

and the name of our Chinchilla is... Nacho Fluffy! Thank you to all of you who participated in our little poll. My kids thought it was so fun that people were voting to name our chinchilla. Why the middle name Fluffy you ask? Well, Alexis' cute little friend Belle had begged me a couple times to name the chinchilla Fluffy because he is so soft and fluffy. So I told her we could use Fluffy for the middle name. Anyhow, thanks again to those who voted!

So we finally broke down and got a pet; a chinchilla. We were able to get him from a family who posted him on Craig's list. They never really gave him a name so we are trying to figure out a name. Please vote for your favorite name on our poll!

IPOD....

Garrett thinks he needs an IPOD of his very own. Good Luck with that one!

Happyville....

"Welcome to Happyville!" This is what Garrett and I did this morning and he cleverly named it Happyville. It is complete with a train, picnic benches, community swimming pool, bridge and homes.
Garrett is growing up to fast and is probably one of the most loving, thoughtful people I know. Today he said, "Mom, I need to tell you something important." So I got down to his level, so we were eye to eye and I said, " Okay, you have my full attention." He then cupped his cute little hand under my chin and said, "Mom, you are important to me." And then he gave me a big hug and kiss. Thanks Garrett for making my day!

Garrett is in Primary!

Here are some pictures of the 3 of them before church yesterday. It was Garrett's first day in Primary! I can't believe it! He enjoyed it so much and I peeked in at one point and they were singing the all time favorite, "Once there was a Snowman!" I peeked in right when he was melting and had to laugh, well truth be known cry a little, when he was flat out, laying on his chair and laughing. He really has grown up too fast for me!

Garrett is so happy that his curls are coming back. I learned my lesson from cutting them and to never do it again. He really does think they are the coolest thing. Maybe when he gets older he'll have a fro!

On New's Year's Eve we hung out at home and had a movie night. I laid a blanket out for Bennett and gave him his bowl of potato snack veggie sticks from Trader Joe's and here he is ready to watch the movie. I thought it was so cute how he laid on his tummy and put his snack right in front of him to munch on while he watch the movie.
