Cookies with Grandpa

For as long as I can remember my dad has made Spritz cookies at Christmas time. I remember getting up on the counter and helping him push the cookies out of the tube...and eating some of the dough too. I love making these with my dad. Now it is really fun to watch the grandkids get up on the counter and help Grandpa make the yummiest cookies. They love being with Grandpa. Even Kyler got in on the cookie making activity this year. He even ate some of them too...now that is a Christmas Miracle!

Happy 1st Birthday Coleby!
I cannot believe that my baby is One!! This was the fastest year of my life. It is so strange how it feels like Coleby has been a part of our family forever, yet it has only been a year. We have had so much fun with this little guy around our house. Three little boys keeps us hopping and make for some great wrestling matches. IT is so fun to watch Coleby jump right on in with his older brothers. Right now, Coleby loves his blanket, specifically the corner with the tag, his binky, any kind of ball, and any kind of food! He is such an easy going boy,yet when he wants something you know it.
For Coleby's birthday we were able to keep Kyler home rom school in the morning for a little and do a special family breakfast birthday party. Kyler and Maxwell were so excited to celebrate that when we ended up having a viewing for my uncle that night, we improvised. IT was actually really fun with just our little family, and so much less stress too.
We were able to celebrate with family later that week with CUPCAKES!! When I was pregnant with Coleby, Kyler and Maxwell wanted to name him, cupcake. So he was known as baby cupcake. When he was born and we named him Coleby, his nickname "cupcake" stuck with him too. We call him Coleby Cupcake, So I thought it appropriate to have cupcakes for his 1st Birthday. I even made Coleby one of those giant cupcakes for his cake. It was fun!
Happy Birthday Colbers!! We sure love you!

Our Big Eater!
Coleby likes to eat...well that is an understatement. He loves to eat. And so far anything that is not baby food. Believe it or not we prayed for this. We now have a child who eats very little and a child who doesn't stop eating. Our sweet Max is a picky eater compared to Coleby. Eating has been such a challenge in our household, it is os nice to make something for dinner and have it be eaten. Thanks Coleby! WE LOVE OUR BIG EATER!
Notice what a good mom I am...chocolate, ice cream, popcicles, cheetos! Hey at least he is eating yogurt. He really eats other stuff too. I guess these were picture worthy moments.

Maxwell's first day of Preschool

Finally, it is Maxwell's day! He has been waiting for this day for a long time. Max was so excited for school this morning that he could not sit still. He was running around the house making sure everyone knew he was going to school today. He actually had an orientation day last Friday, where he met his teachers and got familiarized with his classroom. I was able to go with him that day and see where he would be learning. It was so much fun.
Today however, was my first day dropping him off and going home with only Coleby. I was a little sad watching him go into the school with Miss Lola, however, I knew how excited and ready Max was for this. I could only be happy that this day had come. THe sad thought was that I felt like I was just dropping Kyler off here at preschool, and now somehow he is in First Grade. That will be Maxwell before I know it, so I want to enjoy this time. After I dropped Max off I went home and Coleby took a nap in fact he fell asleep on the way home and then I had to wake him up to go pick up Max. Great 2 hour nap! You would think that I would have got something done too...not really!
Love you Maxwell! I am so glad that you are so excited for school and ready to learn.
