SO J TOOK ME TO THE BATTING CAGES TO SEE IF I CAN EVEN MAKE CONTACT WITH THE BALL, IT'S BEEN YEARS SINCE I SWUNG A BAT AND EVEN THEN I WAS NO GOOD! HERE IS J SHOWING ME HOW IT IS DONE!



THEN THE MOMENT OF TRUTH. HOW BAD IS MY HUSBAND GOING TO HATE PLAYING SOFTBALL WITH ME!?! (he was so embarrassed i wore my long sweater while batting) I WAS COLD!



So i took it off so i wouldn't embarrass him in front of the 14 year olds working there! ;)
Well I didn't do so bad, i missed probably 4 or 5 out of 35 balls! I suprised myself but now we have to see what i can do when the balls aren't always pitched straight!

So Faith decided to go to Colorado to see if it could be her new choice of residence! She met her hubby there and left her two boys with me! I volunteered and actually was quite excited to do it. the night before faith was leaving she invited us over for dinner and both boys were SICK! Jonah had pink eye but was on antibiotic and eye drops so he wouldn't share the fun with paris. And Ike was just a sad boy from teething and running a fever! But sure enough the next day "mommy" is off to leave the mess (literally) behind and have a great couple days, that were truly needed with her hubby!

First night! Paris and Jonah slept on the mats upstairs J slept on the couch and Ikey and I did the "steam roller" ALL night long! I don't think he slept longer than a half hour at a time! what a long night! in the morning i took his temp it was 103.5 he was burning up! but after a little kiddie drug he was up and running with the rest of them!



CHEESE!

I had this brilliant idea since it was a rainy day and the kids couldn't really go out side i thought i would make them rest in the car as they are all strapped in watching a movie J and I would run errands. STARTED off great....

OH SO NOT FUN after an hour or so! So we bomb barded rachels house with lots of kids.
For the most part all had fun

but ikey again poor sad miserable baby really just wanted to be at his own house, nice and comfy surroundings.

We ended up staying WAY longer than planned we all fell asleep. (so nice BTW) So after raiding Taylor's fund raising chocolate bars we loaded up and headed back into queen creek! The only thing to keep the kids quiet for a moment was, yep the chocolate and oh did Ikey enjoy it! He put the square into the palm of his hand, squeezed it till it oozed out the cracks of his fingers and then licked it! As I am laughing and trying to tell him not to do that he gets mad and slaps his own face with his chocolate covered hands! J wasn't thrilled but i sure enjoyed the moment!

then paris had fun pretending she was mommy and helped clean his face.



OH WHAT A DAY! We got home and got ready for bed all the kids were overly tired, so off to bed! Paris always needing to cuddle!

The night was better ikey slept atlest 2 hours at a time...

The next morning we all got up got ready and headed to grandpa guapo's and grandma karen's! Thanks for letting us come hang out most the day till the PARENTS RETURNED! Ikey was asleep when faith and joe got there and jonah was eating (totally can't interupt that!) is wasn't quite the home coming faith dreamed of but both boys were sure glad to have them home!

So J got up this morning and decided to help me out more, especially with paris. So he got her dressed and DID HER HAIR ALL BY HIMSELF! (i might have talked him through it a little) NICE WORK IF I DON'T SAY SO MYSELF!

BOW AND ALL! I myself am impressed! Then after a long fun filled day, we came home and he got her into the bath, pj's, a movie on and yep did her hair again! Every night i braid her hair before bed so it's not all tangled in the morning, while i was getting ready for bed J decided to take on the braiding challenge!

She held still and was patient for dad learning! although i have no

clue where J picked up braiding (considering his mom or sis have

probably never braided their own hair ever) Seriously the guy is

pretty good at just about anything HE WANTS TO BE! It really

didn't take him long he did it in one shot, and after it was all over paris

gave dad a hug for doing her hair! WHAT!?! all i ever get is whining and trying to run away!

"HAPPY BALENTIMES DAY"

Apperantly i didn't get the creative gene! faith and rachel's kids both had super cute valentines, poor paris, her mom gives her highlights at 2 but can't figure out cute, original, creative valentines. yes they were the SUPER CHEESY store bought ones, but they were ones you did get to color yourself! Paris, i must say, did have a fabulous time, we hung out coloring these things for like an hour! cute enough for preschool....


So being that we were going for simple this year we went to my sisters house and all the kids helped make peanut butter kiss cookies! my all time fave BTW! Although the kids did actually help a LITTLE i think they managed to eat ALOT more!

Out of a family of all girls (us sisters) these are the only grand daughters!

WOW! paris REALLY loves jonah!!

Paris woke sick but still wanted to go to school so she could give everyone her goodies she made for them! i was rushed so i forgot to take pics before school so i had to make do for when we got home! (don't mind the coolaid smile) she luvd her heart tights!

LOOK MOM NO TRAINING WHEELS

We had quite the family day yesterday! J had the day off so we took Paris to see papa and grandma karen, then we went to peter piper pizza (i swear they know us by name now) always having a blast!

Then we went to the park, we have been telling paris we were gonna teach her how to ride her 2 wheel bike. It was a wonderful day to be at the park. So we got her all geared up






she gets onto her bike and J pushes her around 2 or 3 times to get used to it,



the 3rd time he was pushing her around, SHE told HIM to let go so HE DID! We totally expected her to crash but she took off like she's been doing this for days!



She can't stear for nothing so she would just go where the bike would take her. Then she crashed! I'm yelling "good job, you did it" justin is just laughing as we run over to her. she jumps up with the biggest smile and says "lets do that again!"
PROUD MOMENT!

So we did MANY times, her poor little bike, she has had for awhile, so its a little small for her, those wheels and her little legs were going so fast but she definatly wasn't moving that fast! So we let her do that till we were frustrated trying to explain how to control the handle bars and her not getting the concept, SHE ALMOST HIT A TREE!

so we took her to the side walk where she would have to turn and use the handle bars to stay on course. J didn't want to take her to cement but i insisted...

ya that didn't last long! Rocks on one side and a hill on the other. Wasn't happening! So She says she's getting tired and wants to go play on the play ground, so being the mean mom that I am I told her she had to go down the grass hill and then she could go play. She is a daredevil and is usually good at wanting to do just about anything, and i knew she wouldn't get THAT hurt...so J steadies her

and she's off!

She did great! She even liked after she crashed and landed in mud, it didn't hurt at all! We aren't mean parents i swear, she liked it! ; )



So then jonah and Ikey met us at the park. Yippee I finally have my camera when jonah comes to play! They are together all the time but faith and I have hardly any pictures of the two of them together!

Again great day to be at the park it couldn't of been nicer out side! after playing for awhile Ikey discovered the bike so jonah and him both wanted to ride!




Of course now paris wanted to show off her new talent to Jonah...So we geared her up AGAIN and off she went! Jonah doesn't like being left behind! He went chasing after her!

DAY AT THE PARK.....SUCCESSFUL!
