About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

AG with Ribbon option for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and the theme is

Anything Goes with an option of using Ribbon too

Again, I am using an image from my stash, an old one and I dont know where from.

Possibly Kenny K

I used to write the name on the back but I stuck this one down before taking note!!!

I am trying to increase my stock of childrens cards, so this can go in the box.

The super grosgrain ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and they are our sponsor for this challenge, so you could win a voucher for their shop if you hop over to the Allsorts Challenge blog and add a card.

They have a large selection of children's ribbon HERE

I often use ribbon in my junk journals, especially for the closures.

Notebooks

Good Morning All

I have been playing around with some Shabby Chic papers and digi kits.
So I made a notelet book to go in the drawer for Christmas gifts.
This is the front and closed with seam binding.

It is a quad fold (A4) size
Papers from Gi Kerr - Happiness in Crafting

I added coffee dyed papers and notebook papers for writing on.

Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and lace from stash.

Seam binding and Heart buttons from Crafty Ribbons.

Word ribbon from Crafty Ribbons too.

The pieces of coffee dyed paper that were left, I made into tiny notebooks for my Junk Journals.
They are about 2 and 3" tall.
They are great for tucking in tiny pockets just to add abit more interest, and great for using scraps too.

So cute.

All ribbons can be bought from Crafty Ribbons and there is a link in my sidebar.

Gingham and / or buttons for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge time again and Kaz is our host this time and she would love you to use Gingham and / or Buttons on your creations.
Well, I went abit mad with this and made 4 cards!!!!
First I made these two to go in a box of 6 cards to sell or give as a gift.

I bought this pack of gorgeous butterflies from my local China store, so I wanted to use these.
And I had this gorgeous Gingham ribbon from Crafty Ribbons in various colours.
The backing paper is from LOTV 'Antebellum' pad.

Then I went onto make some more.

Clearing out some old stash I found these letters made from a print out using a Crafters Companion CD.

I cut them out then stuck to Mirri card and cut that out.

Added some Organza ribbon with a dummy charm.

All backed onto Gingham paper, which I love for Baby cards.

Finally, an LOTV topper, of which I have loads and love them, with navy Gingham ribbon and a heart button both from Crafty Ribbons

Happy Sunday

Good Morning All

Sunday again and I hope your weekend is going well.
Second post today as I posted earlier about a new DT I am on.

I,m getting lots of crafting time as the footy and the cricket and the rugby are on TV!!!!!!!
Getting well ahead with DT work so that's a bonus.
This is my card for the sketch below that I give my Craft Club ladies each Friday.
I cut some Perfect Peonies from scraps of pixie card I had made.
I used Pierced flags to cut 3 shapes to follow sketch.
Two colours  seam binding from Crafty Ribbons
The card I used for the backing I bought from Create and Craft ??????'s years ago.

The gifts I made and gave out on Friday.

My lovely blog friend Jenny Lawrence sent me this wonderful
Spellbinders die which makes a gorgeously cute little box and a sentiment for the top.

So I made 10 boxes for my ladies and a couple for the staff at the bar where we have the craft club.

Inside I put a couple of tealight scented candles and some homemade gems like the ones on the belly bands I made.

The ladies loved them.

Girls Birthday for MAWTT

Good Morning All

MAWTT challenge is Girls Birthday so I have made Hollies Birthday card, not until August but I always work well ahead.
I have made this style of card before.
It has 4 drawers in the base and is an easel card on the top.

She has owl curtains in her bedroom so

I added an owl charm too.

It is a standing joke that when I go over to see Hollie I always take some hair bands and clips.

So I made a couple of hair decorations from satin ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to put in one drawer and I shall buy some more bits to put in the others.

Pop over to the challenge blog and see all the other DT makes.
