I killed this doe yesterday afternoon with my black powder rifle. This is a pic of me and Micheal Waddell over in Montgumery Alabama a few weeks ago.

My hand update

What is a staph infection?
It is a type of infection caused by a Staphylococcus (or "staph") bacteria. Actually, about 25% of people normally carry staph in the nose, mouth, genitals, and anal area. The foot is also very prone to pick up bacteria from the floor. The infection often begins with a little cut, which gets infected with bacteria.
These staph infections range from a simple boil to antibiotic-resistant infections to flesh-eating infections. The difference between all these is how deep and how fast the infection spreads, and how treatable it is with antibiotics. The antibiotic-resistant infections are more common in North America, because of our overuse of antibiotics.

New wood bench

This is the latest to come out of my wood shop. Tell me what you think. Its for sale if anyone has to have it. I have been working on it a little at a time for about a month.I've got a little bit of blood and a whole lot of sweat but no tears in this one. Ill let it go for $3000.00. Sentimental value i guess.
The back supports are made of 1/4 inch steel and they attach on the bottom.

It's unfinished. What do you think the finish should be? I thought about a colored stain.

What do you think?

These are a few of my favorite pics. Most of you may think I'm just a south Georgia redneck but I do have other skills. I took so many pictures that some of them surprised me when I looked at them close. Please let me know what you think.

This is probably one of my favorite. I think it turned out pretty good.

First pictures of the year

These are the first pictures of the year. We put out our camera's about 2 weeks ago and this camera took about 9000 pictures in two weeks. That is why I love these cameras, you don't miss anything. Other cameras don't trigger fast enough and you get pictures of just the hind quarters.

These two had a stare down.

This one was trying to be sweet to the other so he would let him have some corn.

In this picture you can see the velvet on his antlers, they still have about another month to grow.

My Wood Shop

This is my wood shop where I go to get away from whatever it may be at the time. It stays pretty messy most of the time with sawdust everywhere. I've slowly been adding tools to it. the table saw was first about 5 years ago I got it for Christmas.

I got these cypress timbers off of a job I did a few years ago. I had no clue what I would do with them. Then one day I bought a planer for my shop and this is what happened.

I sawed and planed those timbers into boards and glued them all together to make a wood bench. I had to buy wood glue by the gallon and some extra clamps to hold it all together.
This is another bench that I am working on. It may be one of the last ones because I'm running out of long timbers.

Then I went and bought some teak oil to treat the wood. I think it turned out really nice. What do ya'll think? I had to bring it in the office to treat it because the can said "do not use if the temp is over 95 and it was yesterday.

This is a pic of the many grains together on top.

Easter

This kid never poses for any picture so I had to get it when I could.
Shelby and Reagen help grandma blow out her candles. She looks good for 55.

This is some of grandma's zucchini bread. It looks good.

We had Easter dinner at mom's house.

We pulled up and saw Shelby on Harry's cart and he is standing over by his truck and she wont give it back to him. He got up to do something and she stole it from behind him.
