Twilight in Atlanta

Yes, I'm in Atlanta again.

Yes, I was just here last weekend.

Yes, I love it that much.

BUT

I'm REALLY here for logistical reasons: both my daughters are going back to Enterprise with me Tuesday.

THEN their husbands will drive down on Wednesday with their dogs...each in their own vehicle.

Did that make sense?

It does when I talk about it, but writing it is much more difficult.

Anyway, went to a 7:40 showing at Perimeter last night of "Twilight".

Yes, I'm 51 years old and have read all the books.

What's your point?

The movie was better than I expected it to be.

That's all I'm sayin' about it.

And on a different note: I am in the process 0f a total make-over of the living room in the main part of my house.

As opposed to the living room at the other end of the house which we refer to as "the man cave".

I know.

5th Earl~Decatur

I've been in Atlanta since Wednesday.
Going back to Enterprise tomorrow only because I have to work on Monday.
I just love it here so much.
It's lovely this time of year.
We don't have Fall in Enterprise....or seasons, really.
I miss that.

Today I went to 5th Earl for the first time.
It's a cozy restaurant bar near the Agnes Scott campus.

Everything is funny to me.

Trust an insurance company to screw things up.

I wasn't able to have the MRI because Blue Cross/Blue Shield didn't get my pre-certification paperwork to the facility in time. As of today, it's still not there and I'm supposed to begin physical therapy today.

*sigh*

Back still nags at me....though not nearly as bad as it was. I take an anti-inflammatory when it starts to hurt and that seems to help. I'm sort of afraid of those muscle relaxers I was prescribed. Those suckers are 800 mgs, I have 90 of them and a prescription for a years worth! Hello, addiction to painkillers!!! No thanks, Doc!

Enough of that.....I'm SO sick of back issues.

We went to the beach this weekend....Friday through Sunday.

Back update!

I so sure that all of you have been waiting breathlessly for the latest update on my medical drama.

It's not like there's anything ELSE newsworthy going on today.

Went to the doctor.

AGAIN.

Got a shot in the back.

AGAIN.

More drugs.... but also.....I'm scheduled for an MRI Thursday morning and am to begin physical therapy Monday afternoon.

I took the new drugs and now this is how I feel:

loopy and out of focus.

Sleepy time now.....

I'm not even gonna ask "what's next?" Because I already know....

I went into the office today wearing track pants, a t-shirt, a hoddie, flip flops and no make-up.

My intention was to only stay long enough for someone else to come in and answer the phones.

Then I was going to the chiropractor and home to bed.


Around 11:15 the attorney I work for came in from court looking worse
than this guy.



Oh, yes he did! He came into the office with the freakin'
FLU!!!!!!!!!!

He was literally drenched in sweat....his clothes soaked through....headache, stomach ache, fever, sweating, chills.....

AND according to him, today was the best he's felt since Saturday!

WTF?!?!?

Sadly, I wasn't wearing one of these.....



so my next post will probably be about how I'm sick with the flu.

Fuckin' lawyers.....




p.s. according to the chiropractor, the pain is now not only a pinched nerve, but has progressed and moved into my sacrum as well.

Yipee!
