RuPaul and Drag Race responds to Mary Cheney's statement about Drag and Blackface - WATCH

Interesting Quote: Mary Cheney

Why is it socially acceptable — as a form of entertainment — for men to put on dresses, make up and high heels and act out every offensive stereotype of women (bitchy, catty, dumb, slutty, etc.). But it is not socially acceptable — as a form of entertainment — for a white person to put on blackface and act out offensive stereotypes of African Americans? Shouldn’t both be okay or neither? Why does society treat these activities so differently?

Gay Actor Calls Modern Family couple a 80s stereotype and a gay equivalent of “Blackface.”'

Gay actor Tuc Watkins had some words for Modern Family's Cam and Mitch.

On his Facebook, Tuc wrote that he has 'a hard time laughing at the gay guys. In fact, I kinda cringe. It feels a little bit like the gay equivalent of “blackface.”'

And... 'It doesn’t feel “modern” at all. Sure, people come in all shapes, sizes, etc. So why are we fed such 80s stereotypes every week?'

Well, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitch) responded to Tuc's statement with this:
Sorry you feel that way Tuc. I know lots of guys who are just like Cam and lots of guys who are just like Mitch. We can’t be expected to represent every gay person. We can only represent these two people. Also, Mitch is basically a version of me…so I never know how to take it when people say that he is stereotypical. And in defense of Cam, I still can’t figure out how a clown; football coach who also happens to be gay is a stereotype. When all is said and done, it’s a family sitcom. I feel our writers do a fantastic job of servicing 11 characters each week in just 22 minutes. I am incredibly proud to play Mitch and I have a lot of pride in our show. As a closeted kid of the 80′s I would have loved to have had a show like Modern Family to watch with my parents. It would have meant a lot to me to see who I secretly was reflected on television. TV has come a long way and it continues to forge new ground. I am thrilled with the work that you did on Desperate Housewives. It opened the door for shows like ours and hopefully we can hold that door open for many more shows to follow us. At the end of the day we can’t please everyone..and we shouldn’t try to. Kinda just like life, right? Take care. Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
This is very interesting see right now, what do you think of this?

4 in 10 Folks think Blackface Is A-OK

New Mess in the Morning.

In the HuffPost/YouGov poll, 4 in 10 Americans find it acceptable to wear blackface makeup on Halloween.

Yes, 43% think it's okay for a white person to wear blackface on Halloween. Now 37% disagree with this, but it's crazy to think this is okay and acceptable to do.

Another sad piece of news, 40% think it's acceptable to dress as an ethnic stereotype on Halloween, 40% don't. Whatever happened to dressing up as ghosts and goblins?

Idiots don their Best Racist Trayvon Halloween Costumes

We have 3 idiots here before you. Why they thought this was funny, who knows. But why they think this pic wouldn't go viral against them is priceless.

Smoking gun has dug up their trash for all to see.
William Filene, who's dressed as Trayvon, is not a golden boy. This fool was arrested in June for felony auto theft. He's also has a rap sheet of other things too, like loitering and prowling.

Caitlin Cimeno is the lady of the hour and a stank ass racist. Last year, this she-mess posted elderly women wearing tight pants and tube tops as “tacos,” and posted a photo of an Black girl wearing a t-shirt reading “Black Girls Rock,” with the caption, “First of all, sorry Hun but mommy lied to you & secondly if I was wearing a shirt that said something like the truth 'white girls rock' I would be stared at and called a racist cracker.”

Greg Cimeno, dressed as Zimmerman, is just a plain ole idiot with nothing in his life to show for.

Funny, how they thought this was a simple joke, now they are ones who are the clowns. Enjoy your 15 minutes of shame... We definitely will.

Drag Queen performs in Blackface and gets FIRED

Foolishness alert!

In Toronto, a drag queen named Daytona Bitch had the nerve to perform in Blackface. This fool thought it would be peachy to be Miss Cleo (the fake 90s 1-900 number psychic) during a show for Pride Toronto. But when she hit the stage, the shit hit the fan.

Once the audience saw this mess, they were livid. Within hours of Daytona's act, pics were posted on Twitter and Facebook with the title “racist minstrel show.” Later, Daytona was fired from Pride Toronto.

Daytona was hurt, saying:
“I asked a couple people if it was offensive because it’s not blackface in my eyes. I went to theatre school. I know what blackface is. It was not a minstrel show. I was doing a character.
“The people I asked at Crews & Tangos thought it was hilarious that I was dressed as a big fat black woman.”
Well, I'm sorry Daytona, but Blackface is Blackface regardless if you see it or not. However, your privilege is crystal clear in that statement, "It's not Blackface in my eyes."

I think you need to take this moment to refresh yourself about Blackface. Maybe next time, your foolishness won't cost you your job.

In Mississippi: Sorority Girls dress up in Blackface as The Huxtables

For some reason racism in the deep South won't die, especially when it comes to BLACKFACE. This past weekend, 6 sorority girls dressed themselves in blackface and claimed to be the Huxtables from 'The Cosby Show'.
The USM Dean of Students Office said the six women, all members of Phi Mu sorority, dressed in blackface to depict themselves as the Huxtable family from “The Cosby Show,” as part of their participation in a 1980s-themed, off-campus costume party on Wednesday.

“Though it is clear that these women had no ill intent, it was also clear that they had little cultural awareness or competency, and did not understand the historical implication of costuming in blackface,” said Dean of Students Dr. Eddie Holloway.
The university is working with Phi Mu national sorority in response to the incident.“The conduct of these members in no way reflects the values and standards of Phi Mu Fraternity,” Phi Mu National President Kris Bridges said. “Our chapters are expected to abide by our policies and uphold a values-based culture. I am deeply disappointed by the actions of these members in their choice of costume for the social event.”
The girls are on probation and they will meet with the Black leaders on campus. The funny thing is, these girls claimed they had no idea about the meaning of blackface. I'm glad they were not in my office.

Who is still Hiring Shirley Q. Liquor ?

Shirley Q Liquor or Charles Knipp is known for his Blackface Drag a few years ago. Many peeps were not feeling this "act" and it was quite clear that the LGBT folks of color were no fans.

Now if you don't know about Miss Liquor, here's some insight:

Well, she been on the low until now... She's back and headlining a new show at Russian River Resort during the weekend on Juneteenth(a well-known Black celebration). Why are they hiring her? Do they understand what "Blackface" is?

I know some folks think it just jokes, but if you see and hear Shirley, you realize she is pushing stereotypes to the limit. I don't think it's funny to call yourself a "welfare queen" and talk about your 19 kids. Her act is an insult, pure and simple.

Several groups are calling a boycott of Shirley. If you are interesting putting in your 2 cents, please call the Russian River Resort at (707) 869-0691, they are also on Facebook too.

Let them know this foolishness ain't cute.

Someone Lay Hands on Mel Kuhn

This is Mel Kuhn, the Mayor of Arkansas City Kansas. In an odd beauty pageant fundraiser, Kuhn participated in a drag queen contest which is an annual fund raiser for CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. The agency supports foster children in the court system and area.

Anywho, dumbass Kuhn not only appeared in drag, but in blackface named "Smellishis Poon". He even had back up dancers for the talent portion, calling them his "Red Hot Puntangs."

Well, the local NAACP found out about this and went after this dolt. Then after a meeting and some stubborn mess from his part, Kuhn woke up and realized what he did. He also released this statement.
"It has been brought to my attention how offensive this was and I absolutely agree that it was shortsighted of me not to see that in the first place. I am sincerely sorry and I sincerely apologize for the offensive nature of my actions. This was not CASA, this was of my own volition, and I take full responsibility for my actions. The buck absolutely stops here". - Mayor Mell H. Kuhn

I think he should lose his position.
