I had a terrible day and yes I'm exaggerating.
But it is just me or Singaporean has become more demanding. I'm finding that the more educated they are, the higher their egos.
You can really fight with me over book even when I promise you that I will get it from another library for free!
You people are full of crap!
SourLime Social Space.... Ok maybe it's not social enough but when I think about it, it's a tool for me to express what I'm feeling inside. So if you have any comments do feel free to drop a note....

Pattaya Day 5, 1 April 2011
Not much to do at Pattaya on Day 5. It's the day we are leaving this country. At last, we are going home.
As per normal, we had brunch at Soi 11 with 2 fried kuayteaw, tom yum soup and chicken omelette which add up to 290 baht. Gonna miss the eating place.
We returned to the hotel, switching channel and chilling until 1145. We will be catching our plane at 1625 so the taxi gonna pick us up at 1200. It will take 2 hours to the airport.
Until then, see you in Singapore.

Pattaya Day 4, 31 March 2011
It's my birthday and I miss Danisha a lot. Truthfully, I cannot wait to get home.
Again the agency could not bring us island hopping as there are reports of rough seas. We had breakfast at Soi 11 and claim our refund at the agency.
We agency recommended us to go to nong nooch tropical gardens for 650 baht per person. We thought why not since we don't have any plans for the rest of the day. We signed up for it and ask to come back to the agency for the coach to pick us up.
We had a walk at the beach and had a foot reflex by the beach. It was cold and the venue was so shiok for a message. Love it! We got Starbucks (again!) at Central Festival and returned back to the agency to board the coach.
Journey actually took 25 minutes but the coach went from hotel to hotel to pick up the rest of the tourist. We got to the garden and took loads of pictures, saw a cultural show and elephant show. Overall the place is pleasant and worth a visit.
We ended our day by visiting the Muslim community at Sumkumvit Pattaya Road, Soi 9. We had over dinner there and 'tapau' chicken wings and some bread. Our dinner cost 90 baht which is 2 fried rice and drinks.
We retired back to our hotel after a long day and caught 'Inception' on the local cable.

Pattaya Day 3, 30 March 2011
We were supposed to go island hopping today but due to unforeseen circumstances, the agency postponed to tomorrow.
So we had to move the itinerary for Day 4 to today. We had breakfast at Pattaya Klang, Soi 11. Normal dishes - fried rice with tom yum soup.
We took Songtheaw to Easy Kart and had 3 session of go kart. It is quite pricy. For beginner course, it is 550 baht for 8 minutes and advanced course is 1200 baht for 16 minutes. It was an exciting ride bumping with each other on the track. Of course RedOpium clocked in the best time.
Again we decided to go to the Outlet Mall Phrase 2, which is nearby the first outlet mall that we went the day before. It carries label like Espirit, Fox, Quicksilver and Triumph.
After shopping we went to the Avenue shopping centre which does not have loads to stuff to see, so we hang around the Starbucks for a while. We walked along the beach and ended up at Walking Street. It has a lot of bars so there was not much that we can do.
Feeling hungry, we hailed a Songtheaw and headed to South Pattaya Road where there is a halal restaurant. We ordered chicken wings, fried rice, tom yum soup with kuayteaw and shrimp omelette which amount to 210 baht.
Then we headed to Central Festival shopping centre for a while and proceed back to the hotel.

Pattaya Day 2, 29 March 2011
We started our day with breakfast at Saeed Restaurant. It serves Turkish-like cuisine - kebabs with naan, yellow rice with saffron. Unlike yesterday food that we had at Soi 11, this restaurant is pricy. I ordered lamb kebab with naan which cost 270 baht. Our meal at Soi 11 cost 210 baht and consist of 2 fried rice, tom yum soup and drinks. We preferred the one at Soi 11.
After which we travelled to Tesco Lotus. The concept of the store is the same as Carrefour. Of course we did not want to go to a mall which has giant supermart. We asked the local Thai whether they have outlet malls, and got one of the driver of Songtheaw (pick-up vehicle) to bring us there. At first we did nit believe that Pattaya has an outlet mall. After 15 min, we saw not one but 2 outlet malls carrying brands like Mizuno, Nike, Levi's, Ripcurl & much more. So what do you do? You go crazy!!
Satisfied with shopping,we headed to Jomtein Beach Rd for halal seafood at this place called Fatima Seafood Restaurant. Served by the beach, we ordered curry crab, grilled squid, shrimp omelette, tom yum soup, fried rice & coke. Total cost - 1170 baht. Gd food and great ambience by the beach. Could have never experience something like this in Singapore.
After returning to the hotel, we wind down a bit and refresh ourselves before heading down to Central Festival shopping centre for more shopping and Starbucks.

Pattaya Day 1, 28 March 2011
We catch a flight from Singapore to Bangkok at 12.25pm and arrived in Bangkok time 2pm. Apparently, Bangkok time is an hour earlier than Singapore. We had a pleasant flight with Thai Airways - good food, entertainment and reasonable leg room! Only problem that we had was with RedOpium bording pass but that was rectify quickly by the ICA officer. Discovered some new stuff at our world's best airport - they provided free handphone charging service!! LOVE! Upon arrival at Bangkok, we had to take a taxi down to Pattaya. Actually I wanted to take the bus down but decided to go with RedOpium instead. If you take the coach or bus, it will cost you about 150 baht, taxi is 10 times which is 1500 bath (63 SGD). It took about 2 hours drive to the hotel and the taxi driver will go at a speed of 240 km/hr. Quite scary when it is a two-lane road and lots of cars. Our hotel, Citin Loft is a 3 star hotel. Of course on the website, it looks impressive but in actual fact the building is located next to worn down houses and other hotels. Should have listened to RedOpium and go ahead with All Seasons instead. Hotel room is bigger than my room but to my dismay they provided us with separate beds & no iron. The tv channels 70% are mainly in Thai which I think it should not be as we foreigners cannot understand their language. Overall it was okay for me. The highlight of the room was the free WiFi provided for the room as this is the first time I encountered free WiFi for hotel which is usually payable. After settling down, we explored the area around out hotel. I find the streets of Pattaya is not as vibrant as Bali and Phuket. I was finding shops that sells imitation products but there was not many. Maybe we are walking at the wrong streets. Halal food was located 5 minutes walk from our hotel and chance upon 2 others - Indian restaurant & Meditarrean. We went to Carrefour and bought munchies, found out that houses here was way cheaper that Singapore (boohoo!), eat ice-cream. We went walking somemore and got to Central Festival Beach shopping centre. They carry brands same in Singapore such as Zara, Mango, Guess and Esprit and the prices are the same (boohoo!). After walking endlessly, we ended our night with a message. Thai message is definitely different. A lot of wrestling!

Frustrating to the Max!
I had a scare. My JD sometimes felt like a time bomb. Apparently sometimes I do not know when it will explode. I was supposed to be off today and got a call from work about some brochure that the other dept did not receive. Customer got angry because she came all the way down to collect the brochure. Now my colleague called me asking me about it and guess what.. No one told me that someone had received them and was in the storeroom.
It is times like this when I felt whether it is worth it to work so hard. Because of that 1 mistake, all the good things that you have done gone down the drain. People only see your mistake but not your good deeds that you have done for the company. I wish that right I had an opportunity to transfer myself to another dept. But having said that, I believe that I would not get good colleague as I have now.
Today my morale is so low. Maybe should get another job. It is easier said than done. But at the same time I just find that there is no fairness at the workplace. Overloaded with work and I cannot be at home in peace. I just hate having that feeling that someone need to cover me while i'm away.
Another complaint of mine is other staff who could easily get away with their rantings while all i do is staying positive and trying to look at the bright side. Sometimes I wish that I have the attitude of RedOpium, who would say 'No' when he means it and not 'Yes' all the time.
Getting frustrated, low morale...gosh it doesn't help. So what am I to do?

SOE Training & Pattaya
So far so good. Initially boring. After that interesting and useful. Nearly half day and learn a lot of things.
The only problem is me! Not paying attention in class. Surfing other websites. These few days I've been procrastinating. Not good!
Must be the holiday. I'm looking forward to 28 March where we will be flying off to Pattaya. Just me and RedOpium!

It's alright cos a week will pass by in a breeze...
