This year's Christmas was quite a failure. We were supposed to have a party at my aunt's house. Well, when you hear the word "party". You would expect booze, juice, games, and fun. But that wasn't what happened. The meeting time was 5pm. And by 5pm, everyone really turned up. Thinking the party would end at 10pm or later, my cousins and I went down to play Frisbee. When we finally went back at 7pm, everyone was going home. By 7:10pm, there was only my family and my aunt's family. How pathetic. No games, no booze, no fun just juice.

I really envy those who spend their Christmas fruitfully. After all its a once a year joyous occasion. Isn't it?

My mum tells me that the visiting cum holiday to KL has been cancelled. Because my dad couldn't get the seat that he wanted on the express bus. What an excuse. So it means one more year in Singapore? I really want to go on a family holiday. When I heard Cailing talking about going to Korea, Genting and Malacca I got so jealous. And envious at the same time. My parent are not young anymore. They get aches and pains here and there once in a while. My mum always tells me she would like to travel. And yet year after year we are still stuck in this little island we call home. I will bring her on a trip next year. Even if it means using up all the money in my bank account.

I'm not emo-ing. I'm just looking at the dark side of life right now.

I have to work again from the 18th to the 24th. After which i have to go celebrate christmas with singapore relatives on the 25th and 1st to 4th i have to go visit malaysia relatives. that leaves me with effectively 19 days to finish the rest of my holiday hw.

Went out with sec school buddy Charmaine yesterday. Yup. She still very pretty. XD

Suppose to go for a movie and dinner and walk walk around Bugis. But there weren't any nice movies so we ended up walking around Bugis. The funny thing is that Bugis is so sian that we actually went to TOPSHOP three times!!!!! LOL LOL!!!~~~ Charmaine was saying that if we go in for the four time the shopkeeper will think that we are some kind of shoplifters or something. Haha XD

Had dinner at MOF. Mixed mince rice. Damn awesome. Plus jellyfish sushi. Like fresh jeeeelllifish is so much more awesome than those that you get from supermarket sushi shops. Yayness~~~

Coming to the not so bright side of life,
I got a last minute call from my boss to go back to work today. Because the goods in the Ferragamo warehouse were screaming "GIVE ME A BARCODE BEFORE I GG-FY!!!!". The sale is suppose to be on the 19Th and now is the 8Th???????? So early pack for what?

Because the job is of utmost boring-ness, we all did super quickly to get it over and done with. Come to think of it, we shouldn't have.

This is a win-win situation. The boss has to pay us less money since we wouldn't need to go back there tomorrow, and we dun have to go back there tomorrow to face the awesome goods.

We were hoping for a win-lose situation. Where the boss will make us go back tomorrow, pay us and then we can slack and get the pay. Sigh.....the boss ain't stupid. duh....

We went for lunch and had a random chat with the full timers. It turned out that the youngest full timer there had already worked there for 4 years. And some older ones worked for donkey years! The longest service award went to an auntie who joined when she was 20++ and is working for her 20th year. So she must be 40+++. I can't believe anyone would work in a pay-to-stand job for so long! They way they said it was like nothing. Their conversation went like this:

Person A: I've been working in this company for 9 years!

Person B: 9 years only ar? I've been working for 15 years!

Person C: Woah! you all work so long ar! I've only worked for 4 years....(looks sad)

Me thinking: (I really dun understand these people.....)

I shall study tomorrow. Hope the boss stop calling me at random so I can plan my timetable nicely.

To Leting and Yixin: We promised not to mention Edwin's name so that he won't get into trouble right? How come you both blogged about it? Was I the only one that remembered not to say anything about him going Mac? DX Hope Fiona dun read your blogs. Hahaha!

Its been quite some time since my last entry. This is due to the craziness of my work schedule.
I applied to work at Salvatore Ferragamo from 2nd Dec to 5th Dec. The timings weren't very nice. I had to work from 9.30am all the way to 10.30pm. Okay. Maybe to timing isn't so bad. What worsens the situation is that I actually have to STAND THROUGHOUT the 12 hours (Excludes 30mins for lunch and 30 mins for dinner). That continued till the 4th of Dec and on the 5th which was the last day of the sales, we had to stay till 1.30am to move the sales items from the sales ground on the 4th floor to the 2nd floor. That's pure manual labour but it was fun. Because I like to show off my AWESOME OBS muscles! Just joking....^_^

Anyway I made many friends there. Teenagers and young adults. Karen, Rachel, Ashita (nick name), meow(nick name), Susan, auntie gangster(nick name), Scotch tape boy(nick name), Su and some boutique people whose names are unknown. Hehe. Sigh...Didn't take picture.

Yesterday(Sunday) I went for Munshi study session at King Albert Park. Isn't it weird why you will only see a McDonalds and Cold Storage there but not a park?
Anyways, there was Weicheng, Yixin, Leting and me. Got a bit of improvement la. Haha. At least there's 4 peeps now. Compared to 3 last week. Hope to have 6 next week. ^_^

Thanks Yixin for lending me the AWESOME geog text by David Waugh! I shall do mass reading throughout the week and hopefully finish the AWESOME book by next Sunday! XD '
