Changing stations

We go through life together

Changing stations, losing time

Some are just starting the journey

Some are reading the last line

The board flickers destinations

In a tired, yellow light

We’re standing side by side in silence

Waiting for the night

We thought the track was endless

We thought the ride was ours

But the train keeps counting seconds

Like the hands on broken clocks

These are the stations on life

Where the quiet grows loud

Where faces blur into strangers

In the thinning crowd

No goodbyes, no explanations

Just a whistle in the dark

We leave pieces of ourselves

On every platform mark

You spoke in half-remembered dreams

I answered in delay

We watched the rails stretch forward

Like there was time to waste

Now your seat is only absence

Your reflection in the glass

Same train, same direction

Different weight from the past

I tried to name the moment

When “us” began to end

But time just smiled politely

And moved on again

These are the stations on life

Where the doors close slow

Where love becomes a memory

You’re not allowed to hold

No anger, no forgiveness

Just the hum beneath the sound

Of a train still moving forward

While the world goes round

One day I’ll be an echo

In someone else’s head

A voice they almost recognize

From something someone said

Not a wound, not a comfort

Just proof that I was there

A name erased by motion

In recycled air

These are the stations on life

No arrival, no return

Just circles drawn by engines

And lessons left unlearned

The train keeps moving outward

Through the dark, through the light

We go through life together

Until we don’t

Until we don’t

Born into motion

Without a map

Spinning on a fragment

Of a much older fact

A voice said, move now

Before the light is gone

As if the universe

Was timing me all along

Stars kept exploding

Without a sound

Whole worlds collapsing

Without touching ground

I called my urgency purpose

Called my fear a sign

As if meaning cared

About my slice of time

But there was something watching

From outside the frame

Not judging the outcome

Not even learning my name

Two voices drifting

Through a widening sky

One says this matters

One asks, compared to what and why

I chased the one

That burned like a sun

Never noticed

How small that fire looks

When the universe

Keeps going on

I lost people forever

Or so it appeared

Atoms rearranging

Into absence and fear

I called it tragedy

Called it the end

The cosmos did not answer

It just did it again

I asked the silence

If I was late

It answered with galaxies

Dying on schedule — right on time

Then something quieter

Than thought or belief

Said, you are not late

You are just brief

Two voices speaking

Out of phase

One lives in seconds

One lives in ages

One needs meaning

One does not try

One needs a witness

One outlives the sky

We are not the story

We are the signal

Passing through it

Memory is just matter

Learning to talk to itself

Two voices fading

Into the same night

One asks, was it worth it?

One says, it happened — that is enough light

I do not know which one

Ever told the truth

But the stars kept burning

Long after I was gone

The Drums Of War

Russia attack and invasion of Ukraine. Is it a beginning of a new cycle of world war or is it a one off exception?

The answer is no one really knows. Regardless the economics of war is complex as it increases spending /borrowing but on the other side the military industry blooms with extra sales and employment. There are losers which include the average tax payer and the poor people who end up as refuges or worse; dead. The other side the military industry and its surrounding economics gets richer and more powerful.

Humans are capable of unimaginable destruction and demise despite that this human beings are more informed and leading such a luxurious life that no human could dream about less than a century ago.

History repeats itself and we are not smart enough to learn and evolve. What a pity????

History

History is a  great teacher for those who listen. I love reading history and comparing it with current events. What I usually find is that it is very similar to current events with minor differences in names and places. What surprises me is usually if you are in the centre of the circle of events you seldom recognise the cycle and the outcome which is expected "This will not happen to me". Unfortunately it will happen to you as you are only a number in the vast circle of history. This is a reminder for me and you

Closure

We all have a deep desire for closure. Open endings are exhausting and consuming particularly in personal relations. Understanding why this happened and getting a chance to blame someone even if is  yourself.

Finding peace is what you expect but beware it's not always the case as sometimes open ending are far better than  finding closure As sometimes you'll find things you would be much better if you didn't know.

Nothing seems as it seems

Just a quick  observation . Nothing seems like it really is.

Quick trip to Brussels

Brussels the heart of Europe as they call it is a classic European cosmopolitan city. It is not as shiny and neat as london nor magical as paris but you can sense the culture once you walk in its cobbled streets. Obviously if you don't speak french or dutch you'll feel alittle bit awkward but not to worry as most people will be able to speak English. Most of the shops close by 6pm and closed on Sunday. Obviously you will find some restaurants open till late specially around the city centre. You can sense the culture all around; alot of museums, art galleries and cathedrals . The square on another hand is very beautiful specially at night time. You'll be tempted to try the famous Belgium waffles and chocolates which I think are nice but over rated, on the other and Sea food is also quite spectacular.

Living as a stranger

Bright lights, buzzing cars, people rushing every where.  Life can be very hectic and bedazzling. Work everyday, finish exhausted, inpatient to get through to the weekend. Social activities you want to do as seeing friends and family but not having enough time to do everything gives you an inner ache; feeling you should have done more. You do what you can and you keep running and running just to try to keep up but in the end you loss who you are anf feel as if you are a stranger. Look at the mirror; who's that starring at you? You don't recognise yourself. A bitter feeling in your mouth. You swallow it and keep on running. Wait close your eyes for a couple of minutes. Relax and imagine you are at this beautiful  blue sea with white sand. Take a deep breath of this fresh breeze. Open your eyes and continue running.
