Little Isak is here!

Isak Bowen Osthed
7 lb. 7 oz. 21 inches

Right after he was born.

The big sisters' first time meeting Isak.

My handsome boys!

Yes, he is here! He has been here for a month now and we just love him! His sisters absolutely adore him! I thought Maya would be very jealous, but she gives him more kisses than I have ever gotten from her! Isak is a good baby and we are still adjusting. We are so happy to add a brother to our family.

April 2011

Starting to lose our view to the West of us.

Since Simon is back to teaching, we got to enjoy a little spring break! Our week started off with some fun! I had my ultrasound to find out what we are having in September. We are having a BOY!!! We are so excited!! He will be joining us sometime around September 7th.

We went to the aquarium.

Then we head to Idaho for a few days! The girls just love the dress-ups at Grandma's house!

You can always find a pair of grandma's glasses laying around. Why do kids just love glasses?!? I love this picture of Maya with grandma's glasses on! :)

The girls also love seeing the wind turbines. So we thought we would get up close. They are so huge!

Coloring eggs for Easter

Easter egg hunt
It was so cold that day. We finished the egg hunt just before it started to rain!

New Easter/Spring dresses
Nice poses!

Front Yard!!!

We got our front yard! We love seeing some green in our yard now!

This is the best "before" picture. They just finished the sprinklers and started putting topsoil on.

Curbing in and waiting for the weather to be nice enough to get the grass in.

Most of the grass in.

Patio in the front

DONE!!! Just need to get some plants in the front.

Random pictures that make me smile...

Just some random pictures that put a smile on my face.

Maya loves her glasses.

Can't go wrong with the pink cowboy hat, Superman sweatshirt, and plaid skirt!

Brynn is becoming quite the artist. She drew this elephant.

They begged and begged to go outside and use their umbrellas and rainboots. Didn't last long because it was freezing cold.

Making a pretty rainbow out of Pappa's "soccer drink" (Powerade).

Maya loved watching and feeling the rain hit the door.

Just a little reading break.

This one doesn't bring too much of a smile because she was sick with RSV (luckily a very mild case). But she still looks happy.

Maya the climber

Maya is our little climber. She wants to see what everyone else is looking at and so she will climb to do so. I had to work with her and teach her how to get down safely because she was all over the place and so I couldn't always keep an eye on her. She learned quickly how to get down the right way.

Pulling out all of the recycle stuff out of the recycle can.

When they started working on our front yard she figured out how to watch them. She loved watching them work!

Toy box

Random box

She likes to hide under the desk and sit on the shelf by the printer.

Little table that was once the safe spot for big sisters stuff. Not anymore!

This one cracks me up because she got the stool out of the pantry and pushed it over to the window in the kitchen and stood up on it.

Princess vanity

I just love this picture! My three little cowgirls!

Kajsa is 5!!!

There is an advantage to having all 3 girls birthdays within 2 months. Crazy all at once, but then we are done for the year with birthdays! I can't believe my Kajsa is 5 years old and all registered for Kingergarten in the fall. She has always loved going to school and is so excited to go to a "big" school. I hope she always loves going to school and doing homework! haha! At preschool they send home "homework" worksheets to work on. As soon as she is home from school she wants to get them out and get them done. I love her excitement to learn! Kajsa always seemed to be my easy going girl. For the most part she still is, but she sure has tried my patience the past few months. She has got attitude!!!

For her birthday she decided that she wanted a Jessie party. Since Brynn had a Buzz Lighyear party, she thought a Jessie (from Toy Story) party would be fun. I am not that creative with games and such, but I thought I would at least do some kind of Jessie treat. She invited a few friends from the neighborhood and her two cousins that live close by. I am glad that even 5 year olds are easy to please with simple games and treats!

Birthday tray in the morning.

New bike

Keep the balloon up in the air game. Easiest game to get ready and the kids love it. I heard one of the girls say, "This is the best party ever!" Can't go wrong with balloons!

Impromptu game of Duck, Duck, Goose!

Pinata! Whoever thought of the pull the string idea for the pinata was genius. Everyone got a turn to pull one string and then we all pulled the rest together!

Cupcakes and Jessie hats

Maya is 1!!!

February is our month for birthdays. Brynn's is at the beginning, Maya's is a week later, and then mine is a week after that! Our sweet Maya turned 1 years old! I can't believe how fast that year went. Sounds so cliche, but it seems like it was just yesterday that she was born! She has been such a good baby. She is our blue eyed, blonde beauty! We get so many comments on her big blue eyes! She pretty much goes with the flow of things, however, her personality is starting to show more and she can get pretty fiesty about things. She is not walking yet, but will stand up on her own in the middle of the room and take a couple steps. Pretty soon she will be walking all over the place. She is such a climber and I will find her on top of things. I don't remember my other girls being climbers. I guess she watches and learns from them. She says mamma, pappa, and sometimes sounds like she is trying to say Kajsa. She knows a few signs: more, food, milk, please. She loves to play peek-a-boo, cuddle in her blankets, be in the same room as her sisters, get her hair fixed, and eat anything you give her to eat!

So excited to dig in!

Don't know why this expression. Maybe she couldn't believe how tasty those junior mints were and was going for more!

Messy, messy, messy!

We love our Maya!!!

Brynn is 3!!!

Brynn turned the anticipated 3 years old in February! In December she was telling me that she wanted a Buzz Lightyear party. Then all of the sudden I had a brilliant idea! I told her she could earn a Buzz party if she was potty trained by then! She is one stubborn girl and if the idea isn't hers then it can be hard to convince her on something. The idea got her so excited and we started a few days before Christmas. Well, that did it! She did awesome! She caught on pretty quick. With some setbacks of course, but not much! She couldn't stop talking about her Buzz Lightyear party. She invited a couple friends from the neighborhood and her two cousins that live close.

Woke her up with her birthday tray full of goodies!

She got a fun Buzz computer. She does a lot of work and homework on it.

These cupcakes were so fun to make! The kids loved them.

We just love Brynn and her strong personality. She is usually a good helper around the house and she loves being with her sisters. Her mood can change so quick. She can be happy one minute and then the next minute grumpy. She loves to dance and actually has some good moves! I think she is our little tomboy of the family. But she has her soft side too. She is such a good little mom to her dolls. We love having her in our family.
