I've been away for quite some time now...

Oh my goodness.  A few years have passed since I last posted.
I now wonder if I have anyone reading here anymore?
I've been using other social media outlets to keep in touch with family and friends.
If you'd like to catch me on facebook and know my name, friend me there.

Otherwise here's the recap of the past few years.
1. Working on projects around the north central states.
2. Many sailing trips in warm water areas and sailed across the Atlantic.
3. Stand up paddle boarding is my newest sport.
4. Planning to retire in 10 years.

I keep moving so I won't rust

It was a long summer.
Autumn did not last long enough.
Winter's coming promise.

Springtime is a good thing

My work schedule the past 3 months was 6.5 and 7 days a week on the project.
The contractors announced today they will go back to a 5 or 6 day work week in April.
That means I'll have my first Sunday off since New Years day.
Happy dance.

The winter I'm still wishing for

So far this winter has been much to mild for my Nordic blood.  I want snow and cold.
It has snowed a bit.  Spits and spurts but no significant accumulation.  I went for a bike ride on Christmas day.  it was 45 degrees!  Cross country skiing has been a challenge.  There was just enough snow to cover the ground on January 2nd.  My hope for more snow wains with every forecast.  I'm making the best of it and still holding some hope for a snowy February and March.

 Christmas day bike ride.

 Finally, some snow.

 Ski trails just OK.

 Looking for more snow.

Skiers.  Yes!
