The ABC's of Band
Always Articulate,
Don't forget to Breathe!
Crescendo andDimenuendo;
Be Emotional,
But don't overlook the Fundamentals!
Gracenotes can be annoying,
But be glad you don't have upbeats like the Horns :)
Improvisation is difficult,
But it pays off when playing Jazz.
Check the Key signature first,
And when in doubt -- LOUDER! --
Especially during Marching season!
Watch the Notes,
And be most concerned with Octave jumps,
But don't forget to play with a little Pinache!
Quartertones are only in oriental music,
So you're probably just REALLY SHARP!
Trust your director,
But make sure you Understand his interpretation.
A little more Verve, Woodwinds,
And don't forget the Xylophone!
Give it Your all,
And you'll Zoom straight to the stars!
jus read extracted this from an email. sounds jus 'a lil' retarded though.
