Time for blogging buddies
I know we all have our own special blogging buddies.
Fluffs was mine.
For the last seven years she has been padding around the cottage.
Fluffs was well over 20 years old.
This was her place, on my lap while I blogged.
I miss her.
Flufff's input into everything over the last two years has been irreplaceable.
I miss her purr. Miss that extra set of paws around the cottage.
Soggibottom four legged friends....................... IRREPLACEABLE.

Who ate all the pies ?
We've been over to Dartmouth.
Had to wait to get onto the ferry.
Amie always likes to sit at the front and see where we are going.
We like Dartmouth.
Lots of things to see, but you have to look where your walking on the cobble stones down by the old quay.
Looks like someone travelled here in style.
Amie likes the pie shop best of all.
She even waits in line as it's a very popular shop.
The smells wafting through the open door way would make anyone smile.
Make their nose twitch.
Makes you really want to dribble as you look through the pie shop window.
So the question is, WHO ATE ALL THE PIES AMIE ?
I wonder !

Artwey Weymouth and Portland Artist's Open Studios
Last year we were invited to go to Artwey and visit our friend Cat from Raggy Rat who had an open studio on Portland Bill in Dorset.
We had a beautiful day visiting Cat and visiting different artist's open studios.
From Pottery to sculpture. Beads, paintings and felt media.
In case your wondering what media Cat works in, she makes soft sculptures, puppets of all sizes and handmade costumes.
Cat and her family live in such a beautiful part of the world.
This is Chisel Beach in Dorset.
We are further down the coast.
Portland Bill has it's own beauty.
If you want to follow the path to Cat and Artwey at Weymouth and you love all types of art it's really worth a visit. Cat's not on Portland Bill this year she now has her own studio. CALLED.....
Cat's New Porch..... It's not that big, but inside you will find a wealth of treasure.

Sock Cushion
I admit it, I have a cushion fetish.
If I am out and about and see a sash of cushions in a shop, I'm there like a homing pigeon.
I didn't buy the one's that are on the chairs in Soggibottom kitchen. I made them.
I even dyed the shiny material, some of the flowers are made from.
All dyed in a microwave. I kept the material for ages before deciding how to use it as I was so proud of the effect. I really mean I was proud of the fact I hadn't burnt it.
I then cut out flowers to use as applique.
So there you have it, I have a cushion fetish, just like Mew.
Mew has a sock and foot fetish.

How to make Plum Jam with a cat
Thought you might like to see the new cat at Soggibottom.
Cats every where lately so I thought I would join in.
You will see this little cat again, you have a sneak preview for now.
Tiny guy. 3 and a half inches high.
As for one of the other cats at Soggibottom.
Mew doesn't only sneak Amie's cookies. Catnip mice are at the bottom.
We had a clear out of drooled over toys a few days ago, to get to the good stuff you have to get right in the box. It's always best done when Amie is asleep and not watching.
Mew thought no one was watching as I had my mind on other things in the kitchen.
.
Making plum jam with plums from our tree. The first year we had 3 plums, the third year, three pots of jam. Still enough plums left over to eat just as they are.
Easy plum jam.
1 lb stoned plums
1lb of sugar
I always add a teaspoon of dried or fresh Ginger as well.
Simmer the fruit in a little water, not too much.
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Boil rapidly until set.
I might call this lap quilt Plum jam.
I felt rather guilty a while ago when I joined in Sue's quilt along.
I never made a thing that day. I was busy playing games and posting Alvin and the Chipmunks. So hopefully SUE I have now made up for it.
One ribbon lap quilt coming along.
If you want to join Sue next time I know she would be pleased to see you.
I had a laugh a minute that day, also some great quilts to be seen.
Just not mine on that day.
