Good Guys

With all the rain we have had the bug population has exploded. We have loads of slow worms. Really good to know we have some good guys out in the garden. As long as I don't have to pick them up. We try and encourage the slow worms as they eat all the bugs and are good to have around. Although I tend to keep my distance.

Dark and wet

Cold, wet day in Devon today. Everyone on holiday having a good time?

Amie stayed at home when we drove up to Princetown on Dartmoor, much too wet for her. But we found a photo, so she could see the prison. Before you ask NO... we were just passing.

Alice and her bear

Congratulations Alice and Carl from all at Soggibottom.

I love to see people smile when they pick up one of my bears.

Carl and Alice and the wedding bear

Alice and Carl's Wedding Day

As you can see the resident Soggibottom bear had to have his photo with the wedding bear. He had slight trouble with his coat buttons... it's sitting in the window all day, he does not get enough exercise.

Tilly's Bear

I have been asked to display more bears. This is especially for two people that passed the cottage yesterday as I was just about to box up the wedding bear. Don't worry it had holes in the box so the bear could breath.

This polar bear also had a music box. I know that he's quite happy in his new adopted home and spends most of his time looking out of the window. A true Soggibottom Bear trait.

AMIE AT DARTMOUTH

Amie loves the ferry at Dartmouth. She likes it best if she can get to the front of the ferry, paws on the car dashboard looking out of the window. She also likes the fudge shop, and the fish and chip shop, but her favorite shop of all is the pie shop. She can sneak just inside the door without being seen.

Had to have the fire on tonight, Amie was cold.

Wedding bear

Alice is getting married on Friday and I was asked to make her a wedding bear. It also has a music box which plays Brahms Lullaby. Good luck for Friday Alice. Love from all at Soggibottom.

Aren't flowers great.

We have been out in the garden again today, everything is growing at an alarming rate. (pleased to say) Joined by Mew and a very annoyed robin. As the sun came out we were joined by this beautiful flower, great colour...... Pink......

Daccabridge at 8.35. a.m.

Listening to the radio traffic reports this morning made us realise just how lucky we are living where we do. This is the small bridge we have to use to get to the cottage. The traffic report about the congestion on the M25 was about 8.30 a.m. This picture was taken about 5 minutes later. As you see..... not a soul around......... Paws for thought ..............

Lady bird

After all the thunder storms that we have had overnight, it's been a really dismal gray day. I took this photo yesterday morning in the back garden. Great colour.

AMIE and the DONKS

Amie as you might have guessed is quite a happy little dog (her full name is SOTO BLOSSOM by the way). She gets on well with nearly every four legged animal I can think of.......

She loved this Donkey at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary this afternoon. (think she had met it somewhere before).

Sunday, 11 May 2008

Really great, beautiful sunny day down here in the South West of England. The birds are really busy. Back and forward to their bird nests, they make a lot of noise, but it's great. Out of Six , Four of the bird "hutches"......(I also Love RABBITS) have families.... Good.. Great... Bill Odditty...eat your heart out. We also have an OTTER and cubs, and water voles, and bats and deer, badgers, hedgehogs, herons, kingfishers, you name it, we have it, If I can catch them on camera, promise you will see them. The huge fox has also been spotted, haven't seen the moorhen lately. ( sure it's around ).
Picture of the resident SOGGIBOTTOM DOG. AMIE. Not really a stray, but she does tend to get around to different bloggspots. ......... Bit of a tart......

Not sure what I should post on here today......... Amie is always a good bet.
