Weekly updates

Simone is carrying on strong with her dog obsession. It's amazing .... I think I see more Aunt Kellie in her, than mommy (OH NO!! ;-)

Scott & I went to the Staind/Creed concert at Irvine Ampitheatre 9/30. It was pretty fun, but we left during the encore because I had to leave EARLY the next morning for Sacramento. Just got back last night...in 5 days I went to Sac., Fresno, Corcoran and San Francisco. Scott left this morning for Vegas, and then up to Sacramento next week. CRAZY times!!

Jamberry!

Austin had to do a presentation on a Family Tradition that has been passed down the gerneations .... ummm ...we don't have one?? So I told him we would make some berry jam and I would teach him how, just like my Grandma taught me. He was a good sport, considering he hates jam. By the end of it all, after his presentation at school, he told me "I LOVE this jam!"

Even Simone got in on the action ...she was our official berry tester

Austin was amazed by the sheer amount of sugar

He did not like the "continuous" stirring of the pectin. I'm sure it made for good story-telling during his oral report.

That's a smile of delight. It is pronounced "tasty" the next day and ready to be shared with his class. He said almost all the students wanted to try it and they all loved it and wanted thirds. Well, it does have 5 cups of sugar ...go figure ;-)
