Hello! A new year is coming soon! time for an update eh.

Well, as ive promised on facebook, dedications. this will be a pretty long list, but before i start, lemme say why.

The holidays have been great in letting me relax my mind, reflect on the year, think about events. Sec 3 wasn't exactly an arduous journey, but still, quite tough. Would be darn hard to survive without the people around me isn't it? Therefore, i realise i should and i must credit the people who made an impact in my life. Perhaps i shouldn't call it credit, but rather, thank them. These are the people who helped me survive sec3, one way or the other, which explains why they deserve a dedication.

Enough of rambling, lets begin!

First of all, my very dear class, 3T2! well, its only been a year, but everyone has contributed to the class in a way to make our class feel so amazing, i really love the class. Well, there's 45 people in class, so i'll only pick out those that made the greatest impact to me. I shall start with the guys.
(in no particular order)

Javier - Hey! I realise we do have quite a number of similarities (guitar, technology, ...) So i guess that's how we really manage to get along quite well. Yes, i make fun of you almost all the time, but that's how we treat each other i suppose? Like how you just laughed at my hair. Well, i guess i only officially know you this year, but it seems as though i've known you for years. Yes this is a cliche line, but it's true. You are a great friend, great buddy, what more can i say. It's hard to single out an event where you were really truly important, because you seem to be important almost all the time. I shouldn't continue, if i do this will sound like a gay confession. Never going to happen.

Benjamin - Ben the crazy man! Without you, this year will be pretty much mundane and boring. Afterall, you ARE the [s]crazyman[/s] live of the class! Somehow your jokes are always funny, your actions amplify the effect and in the end, its a bundle of laughter, bundle of joy. Seriously, i'll probably become a nerd if you were not there to pull me back to fun - basketball, random chats over buffet lunch at Siam Kitchen, simply laughing about almost everything, etc. Thanks a lot!

Ming Kang - Hi there! Yeap, i've only known you for a year. To say the truth, i once didn't really like you for your incessant copying of Ben's joke. But then again, you've changed overtime, started to develop an image of 'yourself'. When you aren't joking, you are pretty serious, very rational, nice to talk to. When you are joking, well theres the occasional bundle of laughters as with Benjamin. Also, it's quite interesting how you are open about your sexual preference, i mean, my sister has been telling me she has some guy friends afraid about being open that they're gay. Well, its a right step forward for the society to stop despising gays/lesbians etc, time for Singapore to be more open about such stuff. Afterall, its always present, and these people, i feel, needs to be acknowledged. Good luck to you in your, um, interest. =P

Wenjie and gang (yukiat, jiasheng, derek, meng kiat, adelson) - Hello guys! okay so this aint a single person dedication but a dedication to a group. But then again, i've only known you guys for a year, (except for yukiat, been... nearly 7 years now?) anyway, yes you guys seriously rock. the basketball gathering, over at windermere are always very interesting, fun-filled, just, great. On other times, you people never fail to entertain especially with jiasheng's mad antics. well, there isn't much for me to say to describe, but, you all rock. ROCK ON!

Jason - Yo big guy! Or rather, big bear =P Hmm i must say you are nearly a know-it-all, really look up to you sometimes. However, do try to control your emotions, sometimes you get aggressive easily (Remember when you whacked those chairs with your tie?) Well, you are still darn great, very nice to talk to as well. Seems like you are going to fall into audio stuff pretty soon, time for me to show you the way now instead of you showing me the way! =P

Rolu - Hmm im guessing you won't read this, but you still deserve a dedication i feel. Well, over the last 3 years, its only this year that i really start to know you better. Used to think that you are pretty much a nerd, but now i realise you are extremely fun-loving. Makes me respect you more than ever. All-rounder and an ultra nice guy, what more can i say. I really need to learn from you. :D

Pretty much done for the guys i suppose, girls now!

FELICIA! - yes the whole world would already know why your name is in caps. Anyway, although you are forever declining it, yes you ARE cute. ACCEPT IT. You never fail to entertain me with your short, subtle, but often silly/cute/funny replies. Also, your ability just amazes me. Mastery of 2 instruments and now going on to guitar, extremely clever to boot, and also very ultra fit for a girl. My, i think i'm pretty much worse off than you. =P Anyway, thanks for accompanying me to study for Geography late into the night with your 'Kalimantan, Kalimantan, Kalimantan'. That really helped to keep me interested and awake at such a late time. Also, for all your efforts into cheering competition, for the time you supported me with messages for opera, for the time you always cheered me up when im sad. You never fail to put a smile on my face girl. Thanks. :D (btw you still owe me something =D)

Kelly - Hello auntie kelly! Yes so we have like godly links. thats so BOOMZ isn't it. Lets see... My sister knows your sister, they've been in the same class for god-knows-how-many-years, we've technically known each other for 8 years, what a coincidence. Well, you are a great person to be with, actively provides help. Well, thanks to you, too, for your efforts in the cheering comp. Then again thanks for so many other uncountable number of events. =D I promise to cut down on guailan-ing you next year okay? =P

Wanyi - Crazy woman! Always get guailan by me as well! But then again, you let me do it willingly and attempt to refute me, always in vain. =P Well, sitting in front of you for one year was entertaining enough. All the random squabbles, chit chat with kaiyan, with me turning around to guailan for another round, pretty fun really. Makes my classroom life just so much more enjoyable. May you last forever with your dear VIVI! =D

Kaiyan - Well, you don't seem to be a crazy woman. However i suspect you must have been infected by wanyi in some ways. In fact, you can do what she does with being crazy! However, somehow you are [s]grossly[/s] amazingly clever. I need brains like that. crazy + clever. Best mix ever. Continue to be crazy with wanyi! Both of you really brings life to the class!

Sharleen and Wanglin - Yoohoo tablemates! First off, sharleen. Well, very high girl also, one of the 'crazys' =P Another one to entertain me in class. Thanks for effort in cheering comp as well, you played a major role i must say. Now, wanglin, hey, never knew you were so fun to be with, occasionally being random, laughing at things i sometimes really cannot understand. Well, thanks for coaching me in maths! especially A.Maths. =D

Alright! done with the class dedications! now on to CCA!

Zong Heung - HI! Very fun guy to be with, cracks all the random jokes on earth. well, what would NJRC have been without you. Its great to know that we have a wonderful wonderful vice-president in place for Science Team. =D

Woon Kiat - YO BRO! Hmm, 1 year passes extremely quickly. Can still remember when we scaled the 'great' guilin. Really fun times then. Well, i think it's great that we still catch up occasionally, and over the period of NJRC and Science Team Camp, i think we caught up on quite a lot. Well, may your next year be fruitful with your, hm, endeavours! (endeavours that start with an R)

Jia Jin - The occasional lame guy, making all the lame jokes too! Nice to talk to as well, i seriously miss those NJRC and sci team camp times already. =( Btw, you are falling into audio too! GREAT!

Nicholas - Another wonderful person. Yes you rock. What more can be said.

Jit Corn - Hello there corny old corn! To say the truth, i don't know what to say because you've done so much that impacted me in a positive way over the year. I shall just give you a big, warm, THANKS.

Robotics unit - Well, the juniors are playful, but then again, without playful juniors, there wont be a lively CCA. PLEASE DO KEEP OUR LEGACY ALIVE. GO FORTH JUNIORS! DO US PROUD!

Science team - Got to know some people in the camp, eg wynnette. Well, its only at this point i realise how fun and great science team can be. Yes, we do not have a disciplinary route to take to make you guys listen. But we can make you listen and you guys can listen. People say we are without discipline. Show them. On the surface, perhaps you really do not have the discipline. But when you see deep enough and understand, thats when you mature. Thats when we can show SELF-discipline. Something other CCAs will find it tough to do. Why? Because we ARE science team! Well, same ending line, KEEP OUR LEGACY BURNING, MAKE IT BRIGHTER, DO US PROUD! WE WANNA COME BACK AND SEE A GREAT HISTORY OF SCIENCE TEAM!

Opera - To say the truth, this was not very enjoyable for me. I did find that i was torturing myself for abit. However, i told myself that this was a great time for exposure. A great time to learn. Forgive me for the grave mistakes i made. Yes, its all over already. I'm sure the opera troupe isn't. Do continue to produce great shows. This time, i'll only be your audience. I'll be there to support. Though i cannot deal with taking the stage and performing, i can come back to help if help is needed. I am still supportive of you guys. WuZhong Opera shall live on, it shall produce better shows everytime, i'm positive of that.

Last but not least,

MS FOO! - well, i don't know if you will be reading this. Anyway, thanks a lot for being so very supportive of the class. i know, i'm outspoken and rebellious at times, but that is when i feel that i deserve better. Do forgive me for those times. I know you place a lot of trust in me, i respect that, i promise to never ever spoil this trust, i will do well in life, for myself, and for the trust you, my family and my friends place in me. Thanks a lot. =D

Well, i think that is quite a lot to say already, even though i have more words for everyone, but it'll just make this a never ending post.
Of course, i have my family to thank still. However, i prefer not to write it here. We are one family anyway, its only obligatory to love and thank each and every of them. But, from the deepest depth of my heart, i love my family. I love my friends. To anyone's name that isn't listed here, but i do know you as a good friend, well, thank you all. HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

heres a short prose i wrote some time ago...

I walked home, expressionless, emotionless. Or rather, i was too numb
to feel anything. Too many things had happened, many more happening,
much more to come. I felt as if i left an imprint on the ground with
every of my heavy footsteps.

As i went by my primary school, i saw children grinning, smiling, as
they recounted their day in school to their parents. An image surfaced
in my mind, it was of me as a child their age. In this little 'me' i
observed something that i never really remembered doing in the past
year. It was a smile. In fact, it was the widest smile i ever seen
myself with, a smile i can never manage now.

Childhood, i must say, is the greatest part of my life. This was where
the ups of my life existed, and i wonder when the downs im
experiencing now will ever end.

Continuing my journey home, i saw more cheery children. I started to
become jealous of them, if not of my own childhood. My happiness
became non-existent, i wonder how it disappeared. Worn out, perhaps,
but definitely not taken away. I knew i was very much pampered by my
parents, happiness couldn't have been taken away.

I looked into the mirror of the lift. Attempting the smile i used to
make in my childhood, i nearly made myself a laughing stock. The sides
of my mouth simply did not want to turn up. Thankfully i was alone in
the lift. Making a mockery out of myself would make my horizontal
mouth become downturned. Leaving the lift, i saw the gates to home,
and in it i saw angry Dad, naggy Mom. I contemplated whether or not to
go home, but figured that there was nothing else i could do anyway.
Home it was. The walls beside me received a punch or two from my
fists, as my lungs expanded to take in a deep breath. I unlocked the
gate and entered, preparing for a multitude of cannon blasts...

well, this is written on the day i received back the english common test results AND, i failed. oh well. tomorrow's the end of years already. i shall own

10 years later... i finally update!

so, holidays whizzed by so quickly, i'm still left with a mountain of homework.
i must say my holiday schedule was rather busy, fulfilling or not i do not know. but then again, i really do not understand the meaning of holidays now.
according to dictionary.com, holidays mean:
any day of exemption from work
a time or period of exemption from any requirement, duty, assessment
A day free from work that one may spend at leisure

so, wouldn't the term 'holiday homework' be a paradox? well, holiday = leisure, homework is, well, work!
It's about time somebody revised either the meaning of 'holiday' and changed it for all the dictionaries, or teachers stop giving us work. hell, school holidays and we go back to school for biology oral that is supposedly a test. Makes sense? no. Furthermore, the oral is only but 2.25 in our overall and such a test can be easily held during curriculum.

and now let us look at teachers' or rather, whoever is in the education department, their meaning of holiday:
A period of time whereby work must be given to students and they must be called back to school for some reason or another, such as CCA, senseless tests, or remedials. Such measures must be implemented alongside homework so that the student will come back still in the studying mood after their 'refreshing' and 'relaxing' holidays. It is most definitely a crime to let the student enjoy himself to the fullest as he will not be prepared for school after holidays. Also, if the student happens to be free, the mentor must remind him before the holidays that he should take the time to finish his homework and revise whatever has been taught, and go through upcoming chapters to prepare for future lessons.

oh well, the above may be somewhat biased, but currently, it really seems to be what i said. That said, my schedule was busy only because i chose to enter a competition. But then again, if i didn't my CCA points wouldn't be enough, and then the teacher will come after me. That matter however, is in another case, so i guess i won't relate it here.

I guess that was just my lamenting otherwise i won't go to school and face the teachers with a solemn face when being scolded for not finishing homework. OH WELL! that's all i have to say, no offence to anybody from the education department yea? =P

and i can't wait for school to start. imagine all the lessons, homework, tests, exams, oh oh not forgetting scoldings, WOO IT'LL BE FUN!

-and now back to reality-

seriously, i think i've wasted my holidays. i wanted to dedicate my holidays to guitar, i really needed a break. but now, i need a break both from holidays and from school. how interesting. i don't really know whether i made the right choice to join opera from the start, since now im not really as interested in it anymore. However, since performance is only about 2weeks away, i've decided to give my all. Afterall, i still have the September holidays! =D

So, resolution for next half of the year?

- Perform my best for Opera, and forget about opera afterwards =X

- Do well for my CT2, hopefully improve in Amath yes?

- Persuade my mom to get me a Macbook! =P

- hmm, revive my badminton, and improve in basketball? haha

- i shall need to work during september holidays TO GO OUT! YAY

- i definitely want to do well for End Of Year, i need the results. haha

- Improve in my guitar skills! i need lessons though.

- since im going to sit beside Wang Lin for the next half of the year, i'll be hoping to make GREAT FRIENDS, and i definitely will miss the crazy ben. =X

MUAHAHAH, thats about all. i guess. =D

I WANT TO WATCH TRANSFORMERS! damn, seems as though the whole world watched it already =(
