Fallin

Sorry I skipped October, but this post is to update you on what we did!
I wish I had pictures from our Conference weekend, but I dont- we had a great time in PC with some of the Snow family and I had a fabulous time making exorbitant amounts of cookies with my mom, sisters and dearest friend B!
That was the main excitement of the beginning of our month.
Chad had his first annual rodeo at work. He roped a goat, barrel raced and rode a bull! He had a blast and we tease him that he's found his new career. I think he'd make a terrifically handsome cowboy!
Then all our halloween festivities were so much fun.
We decided to do a family theme for our costumes this year, and I've already found some fun ideas for next years theme!
Anywho, we were the little red riding hood group. I was Granny, then Chad was our Woodsman, Mobi was the Wolf, and Camilla our Little Red. I thought it turned out pretty well and really enjoyed the whole theme aspect of our halloween costumes, I think it made dressing up, that much more fun.
Our ward trunk or treat was great- we "only went for the food" (dinner was served first, then treating followed) but had a great time seeing all the fun family costumes and kids running around in their get-ups.
We had a Snow family halloween party out at Chad's brother's house. The costumes were great, the food was so festive and yummy, and we all had a lot of fun with the family and games.
On halloween we decided not to trick-or-treat but instead we went visiting. We started at Chad's parents and took pictures with our Big Bad Wolf. Then headed up to my parents where we all enjoyed a scrumptious dinner in a pumpkin, well Camilla just ate 2 hotdogs but Chad and I liked it. After spending some time with my family we visited Chad's sister, Camilla enjoyed the tour of her house and seemed content to stay there but alas it was bedtime. So home we went and once there we were surprised to still have quite a few trick-or-treaters come by and take some candy off our hands!
It was a great month at our house, hope you all are enjoying this season too!

Rambling

The other day I was talking to my friend, who'd just had her baby, about how she misses feeling the baby movements in her belly-
I absolutely cherish feeling this little guy and love feeling him squirming around and kicking stronger and stronger! I know its one of my favorite parts about being pregnant.
Now that I'm in the last month of my second trimester I see that I've had a lot to be grateful for with this pregnancy. It really has been perfect! I hope I can have similar pregnancies with all our other kids to come.
I think this second experience with pregnancy has been a bit better all around, mostly due to the fact that I dont have that first timers anxiety. I know no pregnancy is ever the same as another but just having had a baby before helps me stop and enjoy this one more, instead of worry and stress about the ifs.
So yay for little jabs to my bladder and a twitching belly! I love this!

Are you ready...

Are you sure you're ready?!!

Ok,
WE ARE HAVING A BOY!

We are so excited!!! I love little boys!

According to our nephew, having a son will make Chad's life "fulfilled!" Now he will have someone to tumble about with, and play rough and tough with! Chad's amazing with Camilla and the best Daddy she could ask for, but Chad does enjoy playing his games with the nephews so I'm sure our little guy will bring a ton of fun to our family!
I think that everything happens for a reason
and I know that I always wanted boys- I love having Camilla first though, I think our family dynamics will be perfect!
A girl and a boy- what a perfect way to start, dont you think?
fist
and no he doesnt seem to be shy at all

Being in England was wonderful, we loved spending time just us two, and seeing all the sights. We missed our daughter though so its been fabulous to be back with her!
Thanks Rach for letting us come be a part of such a wonderful experience! We miss you and cant wait to see you again sometime, hopefully soon.

News

I cant believe that in less than two weeks a couple of my favorite people will be married! I'm so excited!
I cant wait to go see Rachel, Peter, and England! Being with them for their wedding will be fabulous!

I thought now might be a good time to let everyone know that we're going to welcome Snow baby #2 into our family this coming January. I was gonna wait to post this till after my ultrasound in three weeks but I'll just put a follow-up post letting you all know what the results are! This pregnancy has almost been better than the first. not once have I gotten sick. felt yucky- sure, but not sick. I've been exhausted but I i hear thats par for the course. and my hips have been insanely out of whack but lately have started behaving normally. I cant complain and am truly excited to raise another child! I think Camilla's gonna love being a big sister, she seems to be in awe of babies at this point. we'll see how she progresses in the next year and how her feelings adjust ; )

So quite a few things to look forward to. I plan to have tons of pictures from our trip, so that post should be fun. and then the boy or girl post. and maybe even a bit about the johnson reunion festivities...who knows. hope all is well with everyone! Thanks for checking in on us!

Hiccup

I randomly flip through my facebook account, i'm not a very active "friend..." actually lately I've been more active on it because I keep messaging my sweet R about our trip to go visit and celebrate her in August!
Anyway while there today, I saw that my Aunt posted this amazing video- I'm not sure she knows how much this might impact those in my immediate family who see it, but as for me, I just sobbed!
How I miss our sweet Michelle! Please watch this video
and teach a teenager to be CAREFUL! It seems harmless until you
lose someone so quickly!

Enjoy summer and stay safe! I love you all and want you around for a long time!

White Rain

I looked out the window and what did I see!?!
In May, you have got to be kidding me!
Nope, it's snowing!
So much for all those plants I finally got in the ground yesterday!
I am hoping for the best; that all my digging and protecting-against-Mobi efforts pay off...that my plants survive this late spring snow.

A fun picture - not the best shot, but such a fun memory- Camilla getting tickled by Daddy and laughing the most adorable laugh in the world!

I have been reading a ton, mostly for fun, and ran across this awesome quote- I hope you read it, enjoy it, and ponder it!
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
-Calvin Coolidge
30th President of the United States
I'll leave it at that. Ciao

Verde

So you all know,
we will not be moving.
We will be, happily, staying in-state in our cute little home close to family and friends.
That also means that no new job has come our way, but we have not lost faith-
it'll come, hopefully soon.

Yesterday's weather was perfect! We were outside so much I worried that we'd get sunburned!
I am still in disbelief, warmth seems like a dream that we'll wake up from in a few days and be
freezing again.

Thanks for reading, now enjoy this great weather!

Brain wave

While I'm puttering around online I thought I'd post, since its been almost a month.

My thoughts:

Yay for friends finding love and happiness!

I loved conference and heard some things I didnt know I needed to hear until they were said. I am so grateful to be a member of the Lord's church and to be guided by leaders who receive revelation and do the Lord's work.

Camilla is trying to walk, and has surprisingly good balance! She just gets up and goes whenever she feels like it.
So not ready, but are you ever really?

Chad interviewed for a job out of state, and though we havnt heard anything back, it's been interesting to consider relocating and all that goes with that. As long as we're with each other I'm fine going just about anywhere. But thinking about only coming to Utah on vacation kinda makes me sad. Contemplating going to an unknown is a bit uncomfortable, knowing I'd be missing my family and the mountains and perfect area that we live in...

I'm going through a phase, which I do every few of months, in which I feel like I should be doing more with myself and yet I end up puttering away on the computer or reading a thoughtless book. I guess these are my "rutt" times, and maybe I dont get too far out of them but right now I'm in deep it seems. But I know that once I start turning things over to the Lord, He helps me get everything back on track... guess I should do that sooner rather than later.

Well thanks for reading, though you're probably a little bored now. and yes I know my thoughts are a bit scrambled (or "squirreled" if you prefer), thanks for trying to follow my rambling process. well Have a good one, it's sunny!

Una

So I of course intended to post last week but when we cram three celebrations into eight days blogging takes a backseat...

Camilla is 1!!!! We celebrated for what seems like two weeks, mostly because three of her grandparents went out of town on her birth day so she received gifts before they left on their trips (my parents went to New Jersey and her Grandma Snow went to a tennis tournament). Any who, her birthday was great, we had a party with each side of our family on the weekends and then one with friends on her birthday.

I kind of made last minute plans for her birthday so it wasnt the grandest first birthday, but I though it turned out well. I made 'healthy' cupcakes for babies and arranged them like "balloons," then made chocolate cake balls for everyone else. Camilla had her twin friends, our neighbors, come to her party and we had several friends come to wish her Happy First too! We didnt play games or open presents, just had a good time together and laughed while Camilla enjoyed her cupcake/birthday cake! Thanks everyone for making it a great fisrt birthday for her!
Oh the funniest part about watching her eat her cake was that she kept lifting her feet up, like eating was this whole body activity, so cute!

So there you have it, this last year flew by so fast! It really doesnt feel that long ago that we were all in the hospital with her... seeing her first smile, hearing her coo, watching her roll, army crawling, first say mama dada! She amazes me, she's a slice of heaven, she makes me laugh so hard sometimes and stand in awe at others! I love our baby girl and cant wait to see how she'll grow and change this next year of her life!

Dont worry, it's lemon!

These two pics are to show how big Camilla is, how much
she's changed
since she was itty bitty- these
were both taken on her changing table

Yay for icecream sundaes, this is the one Chad enjoyed the other day- Yum. I rediscover butterscotch about every 6 months so thats all i had on mine, and i loved it!!!!

I thought this shot was fun and shows how absolutely tiny Mobi was when we first brought him home, he's grown so much!!!

Befitting his name we created a cave for Abominable! He seems to enjoy it : )

More Snow!

here is our newest family member!
Mobi (nickname for Abominable Snow dog-
yes we know mobi isnt part of his name)
joined our family last tuesday. He and Camilla are getting used to each other though at first Camilla wasnt too excited about his addition to our home. That first night he got a lot of attention and she was pretty offended, but we've got a good balance now and she knows she's still number 1.

He is a shetland sheepdog, he is 7 weeks old now, he is sweet and soft and oh so cute!He is also super cuddly and competes with Camilla when there is a lap available to sit on. We are so excited to have a puppy in our family, we hope he'll grow to be a good dog and Camilla's best bud!

I wish I knew how to get pics off my phone - I took a picture yesterday of Mobi, after he'd been playing hard and fell asleep with his toy in his mouth! So cute!

After initially posting this, Chad reminded me that I could email pictures from my phone so thats what i did and here's that cute photo

Smorgasbord

A few posts ago, i wrote about how fun it is to me to hear Camilla talk as she crawls around. Chad's favorite thing about Camilla crawling around, is that when she gets to a corner, she always peeks around- ha! I see you!!!

Earlier this month I had the joy of getting a bunch of my friends from highschool all together to party! One of them is getting married so I gave her a shower and we had so much fun catching up with each others lives and hearing the affianced girl tell us her "story!" Here is a picture of all of us (plus Collin who came in to say hi)

The rest of this post
is Camilla exhibiting her skills,
and our ittle family at dinner-
having fun after the bloch display...
