Christmas Outfits

I have so much fun finding holiday outfits for Leah to wear, especially for Christmas!  This year we were lucky because she could still fit into quite a few of her outfits from last year so we had enough different mix-and-matched Christmas outfits for her to wear a different one to school every single day during the month of December!  We totally skipped out on Friday Spirit Days and put the bobcat shirt in the back of the closet this month!  Leah's not a tee-shirt fan so she thought this was a huge bonus!  One day she won't let me pick out her outfits, so I'm taking advantage while I can!  And of course I took her picture every single morning before school!  I love this little five-year-old so much!  I sure hope she lets me have this much fun with her outfits next year when I can coordinate my TWO girls!

Dec. 2 - 6

Lane started requesting his picture be taken too!

Dec. 9 - 13

Dec. 16 - 20

I guess there was one repeat.....for picture day and her Christmas program!

Friday brought on two outfits!  It was jammie day but Leah was also receiving an award on this day but she didn't know it.  When I told her she had to wear a dress she wasn't too thrilled because she knew it was jammie day.  I finally told her that she needed to dress up JUST IN CASE she got an award so she quickly obliged!  We changed into her jammies right after the ceremony!

Christmas In Texas

While the rest of you were enjoying your turkey and dressing, we were opening presents and singing Christmas carols!  It worked out PERFECTLY to have Thanksgiving on the Saturday before the actual holiday and Christmas on Thanksgiving day!  We celebrated the day just as we would have on Christmas Eve (the day my family always celebrates).....snacks for lunch then time for presents!  Such a fun day full of special memories!

Our traditional self-timer, somebody-has-to-run-to-get-in-the-pic picture that we take every single Christmas.  I LOVE having these all the way back to when I was a wee little thing!  Nana used to be the photographer/runner and now I or Papaw do the deed.  This year it was Luke so that the preggo didn't fall and break her neck!

Time for presents!  The kids were all blessed with some of their very favorite things from their Christmas lists plus so much more!  We all were!

LOVES his Mimi!

Open!

Besides "ply-dough", this might be his very favorite thing.....a pizza making kit!  He's obsessed with the little peppers and mushrooms!  He always plays with it when we go to a fun little play place we love so Nana got him one of his very own!

A "shishies" towel.....Finding Nemo is his very favorite movie!  We watch it over and over and over in the car!

Leah and her two gift opening helpers!  Allison and Mimi helped her snap ribbons, open boxes, unpack toys and save tags!  This bag from Kelley was a HUGE hit!  She filled it up and put it on immediately!

Mimi always gives us fun "after Thanksgiving/before Christmas" Christmas goodies that we get to play with for all of December!

 A little more snacking!

Papaw wanted to recreate a picture we took last year with him holding all three of his babies.  This year didn't go as easy as the previous!

Cousins!

Lane shared his pizza with Caroline!

My sweet sleepy baby!

Merry Christmas-at-Thanksgiving from our family!

23 Weeks

How Far Along:  23 weeks, 3 days

Size of Baby:  more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango)

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  +3 this month, +4 overall.....started at 114 so now up to 118.....this hasn't been updated lately.  My next OB appointment is not until after Christmas so I'll be getting an update of a combined Thanksgiving/Christmas weight gain!  That will be fun!

Blood Pressure:  Oct. 4 - 100/62, Nov. 1 - 110/60 and Nov. 21 - 112/78

Heartbeat:  153 at Nov. 20 ultrasound

Maternity Clothes:  Maternity jeans YES!  I have one pair that I am IN LOVE with.  I am on Nordstrom's waiting list to order another pair (or two) once my size comes back in stock.  I've been waiting for over two weeks now!  So for now I wash them often, but they're so worth it!  They might be my most favorite pair of jeans EVER!  I can wear non-maternity leggings and two pairs of my non-maternity skinny cropped jeans with boots.  I've finally put away my non-maternity skinny jeans.  They were getting just a tad too tight and not even a rubber band and a bellyband could make them comfortable any longer.  Shirts I can still get away with non-maternity but have worn a couple of maternity.  It just depends on the length of the shirt.

Gender:  Baby SISTER.....Lauren Kelley Hendricks.  Lane loves saying "Law-ren" when we ask him who's in Mommy's tummy.  He'll even get Sissy's dolls and call them "Law-ren".  So sweet!

Movement:  YES, YES, YES!!!  She's definitely my most active of the three in utero!  Leah loves getting to feel her and so does her Daddy!  We can even see her moving on the outside!  She prefers Mommy's right side!

Sleep:  I sleep fine but always seem to get heartburn as soon as I lay down at night and wake up bright and early needing to run to the bathroom.

What I Miss:  I miss not having heartburn!

Cravings:  Apple juice for breakfast!  There's really nothing at all that I won't eat!

Symptoms:  heartburn, heartburn, HEARTBURN

Best Moment This Week:  Lots of fun Christmas activities with my little fam!

Looking Forward To:  A very busy week full of Christmas fun!
