Documentation

After receiving three separate text messages/phone calls from three separate people regarding my lack of blogging ("Update blog.  Now!" from Aunt Kelley and "I feel bad for Lane, an entire week of his life was not documented via blog...poor guy." from Uncle Chris plus multiple phone calls from Nana), I have finally found time to update!  I was busy busy working on Aunt Rachael's baby shower, then our internet decided to stop working and finally we had a very special visit from Christelle.  But tonight, it's just me and the blog!  I love, love, love having all of these memories on here so I hope I can remember everything we've been up to over the past two weeks!

Bye bye pink Bumbo!  Lane is very happy that Sister's Bumbo has been disguised!

Just a cute pic before school one day!  I love taking pics of Leah before school when I can!  It's so fun to see how much she has grown this year!  She's still skipping the socks!

We still play tons and tons of dress up!  One night after bath, Daddy put Cinderella's hair up in a little princess ponytail!  She looked so cute!

This is what I paid for gas on Sunday morning!  Ouch!

We've been having lots of family movie nights, complete with popcorn, of course!  This is how Leah fell asleep one night after the movie!

I've finally come to terms with the fact that I'm not Super Mom and have called in for backup in the form of a house cleaning team.  We played outside and in the car as they finished up!

The other night Luke and Leah ran out to grab In-N-Out for dinner.  Leah came back into the house first carrying the sacks.  She walked straight to the table, took her burger out of the sack and devoured it!  She must've been starving!  She didn't even wait for her plate to be made or for Mommy and Daddy to join her.  In fact, I don't even think Daddy had made it back into the house when I took this picture!

Party Like A Rock Star

February has been the month of parties with three birthday parties in two weeks!

First up was Matthew's 4th birthday party at the bounce house place!

Totally unparty related, but after Matthew's birthday party we stopped to grab dinner at the food trucks who were doing a round-up here in town.  Check out what I had for dessert.....the Smorski.....graham crackers, Nutella and marshmallow cream grilled up grilled cheese style!  Oh my!  It was amazing!

Two days later was Shae's 4th Snow White birthday party complete with a surprise visit from Snow White herself!  Leah dressed as Cinderella for the occassion!  The party started with a round of dancing via Just Dance.  It was hilarious!

My little stud muffin all ready to go to Shae's birthday party!

And finally on Saturday was Grace's 4th princess birthday party.  It was super cute!  It was held at a local dance studio where the kiddos got to dress up as princesses and knights (costumes were provided) and play lots of games.  Leah chose to dress up as Ariel!

Something cute from Grace's party.....there were three boys and lots of girls.  Well, they played this game where the boys had to come rescue the princesses.  They were supposed to take one princess each time.  Well, Tanner and Matthew both wanted to rescue princess Leah so they both took her hand and escorted her!  It was precious!

Lane didn't get to go to Grace's birthday party, but he was dressed for the occassion just in case!  Lucky for him (and his nap), Daddy got off work just in time and picked him up in the parking lot just as we were arriving at the party!

Happy Valentine's Day

You would have thought that today was Christmas with how much fun Leah had on Valentine's Day!  To say that she had a great day is an understatement!  We celebrated from sun up to sun down (actually Lane started celebrating at 1:30 this morning.....and again at 3:30 and again at 4:30.....he couldn't wait to get his first Valentine's Day started)!  My motto with holidays and vacations is "they're only young once" so I try to make it as special as I can (depending on how much sleep I've gotten), even if only in the simplest of ways!  Leah has screamed multiple times today "I love Valentine's Day!" so I call that a success!

This humongous box of Valentine goodies arrived on Friday from Nana, Papaw and Mimi!  I let her open a couple of things early but made her save most for today!

Leah's Valentines all ready to go!

For her teachers, I had my friend Shannon make Valentine cookies!  She makes and sells cookies for party favors.  They are as delicious as they are cute!

And for her friends I found the cutest idea on Pinterest.....a shovel "digging" into M&M's with a little tag that said "I dig you!  From Leah"!  They were a hit!

Valentine breakfast!  Luke was on schedule for jury duty this week but didn't have to go today!  Lucky for us, this meant that he could stay home to celebrate with us all day!  And unlucky for him, he will be at jury duty tomorrow!  Because he was home he took over the breakfast duties and made chocolate chip heart shaped pancakes with pink sprinkles!

All ready for school in her Valentine's purple!  Today was also "purple day" at puppy preschool!

AND it was Teddy Bear Picnic day.....busy day indeed!  She chose her Dr. Bear, Sparky!  His name used to be Dr. Bear, but this morning he was renamed Sparky!

This was on the door at "puppy preschool"!

Valentine goodies from Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papaw, Grammy, Grandpoo and Aunt Rachael were all ready to go for when Leah came home from school!

Leah's Valentine's from school!

Leah's Valentine gift to Mommy and Daddy!  What could it be?

And her lunch bag from the Teddy Bear Picnic!  They made their lunch at school today and brought home the leftovers.....a ham and cheese sandwich, chips, gummy bears, popcorn and a juice box!

Taking an afternoon break.....Leah playing the iPad and Lane playing on his mat!  Right after this we were off to meet preschool friends for frozen yogurt!

Luke and I had made a deal to make today only about the kids.  Well, I help up my end of the deal, and he didn't.  When I got out of the shower this afternoon there was a surprise!

The table all set for dinner!

And for dinner.....Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza!

After dinner, Mommy and Daddy opened our gift from Leah!  I LOVE it!!!!!

Goodnight my little Valentines!
(Sorry Bubs, Sissy insisted that you hold Snow White!)
