Winter...

I'm sitting here eating my lunch dreaming of how much Ithaca was a winter wonderland and thought I might check the weather report.

Mostly Cloudy
14°F
Feels Like
2°F

Yeah I miss the snow but I stinkin' don't miss it feeling like it was 2 degrees outside! Those were the days that I wanted my warm snuggly bed to protect me from the cruel and bitter world.

Today I will count my blessings for the rain in Washington.

Projects galore...

After my last post talking about the remodeling projects we have going you would think I would have realized that I had a lot on my plate...well, I guess I forgot. The trick is that I LOVE all of my projects and don't know where to start so I can have them all finished! So why not procrastinate for a sec and blog instead?!

We are working on Christmas cards. I love designing cards in Photoshop. I have more fun with this than doing scrapbooking. With scrapbooking I don't know where to begin, with cards there is a focus and a deadline. I finished designing our card last night...now the trick is agreeing on where to print them and making the list of addresses.

Along with Christmas comes Christmas shopping...which I love but can be frustrated by. I always research galore and know exactly what I want to get with the little money that I have to spend...then I can never find it at the stores. Remember this from my baby book story?! Yeah, evidently I do that more than I thought.

And along with Christmas presents comes the big fun project--Skyler's Christmas present. A piano! It needs a little (a lot) of work on the exterior--stripping the paint and refinishing. But it sounds great! I love hearing him play the piano and knowing that he can enjoy having one in his home again. There will be an entire post about this when I unveil the finished product.

Savannah has her own project right now. . .teething. She doesn't seem to be enjoying it much. She is still super happy and fun, but she has needed a few more cuddles during nursing and before her afternoon nap. She doesn't fuss, but seems uncomfortable when she goes to chomp on something. She will often stroke her cheek or mouth with a furrowed brow. I can't convince her to like cold teethers or anything so her favorite continues to be her pointer and middle finger on her left hand and of course my thumb. I wish I could tell her it will be over soon...but this is just the beginning!

Remember this adorable dress?! It finally fits Savannah!
Thanks again, Dana!
