The main reason for the trip was to participate in the surprise celebration for Grandma Larsen for her 70th birthday. Family and friends of Grandma from all over the country came to surprise her where she grew up. It was fantastic to be a part of and it made the bonds of family seem all the more important. We then spent the remainder of our trip enjoying the Larsen Family Reunion festivities. I must say that Larsen's are always a blast to be with--there is never a dull moment and everyone brings such character and joy into the family.
(I apologize for the lack of pictures, I spent a lot of time behind the cameras of family members rather than behind my own lens--we will just have to wait to get copies from family.)
Now we are glad to be back home. Skyler has jumped into his bar exam classes and I have jumped into baby prep mode. With only 6 weeks 'til the guess date there seems like so much to do at home before we can be ready for our little girl. It is nice to be back on our home turf and to look forward to welcoming our baby girl into our home. We have enjoyed shopping for her together and I have been able to do a little crafting in the extra room so that Savannah has her own little space. Now it is time to sew my heart out :) It is definitely baby prep time-- as I look at my to-do list it is almost all related to getting ready and looking over at my dear husband I see that he is reading birthing books. Oh how life is about to change!
