Carnival
On Monday for Family night, we went to the fair. It was so much fun, I can't even put my finger on my favorite thing. Was it the mass amounts of savory food smells in the summer air, was it the perfect stormy weather that held off the rain yet created the perfect dusk atmosphere, was it the endless vendors, was it the sinful corn dogs, Navajo tacos, ribbon fries, candied nuts, and endless ice cream? Maybe it was the high divers, or the Gravitron, or the Hunger Games sculpture made of pure butter, or the car parts human sized crab, or the tiny haunted house, or the leprechaun (clown). We experienced so much within a few hours it was a blast. Dallen was allowed one item of which he picked an epic lightsaber that flashed colors inside. It was a hot item amongst the crowd as everyone asked where we got it, and kids twice just walked up and took it from him. He was also allowed one ride. He looked around and I am sure for a 4 year old it was sensory overload, but he came across the most expensive one of course and was barely by 6 lbs heavy enough to go on it. You can watch him in the video below, where he twirls around like Spiderman. All in all it was such a fun family activity, and both the kids were great throughout the evening making it one of our highlight activities of late.

Playtime
I love my kids' playtime. Rorey is getting to be more of a mobile munchkin now, and Dallen loves to interact with him. It's almost comparable to a little girl carrying around her doll everywhere. These two are like peanut butter and jelly! My favorite time to watch them is in the bath. Rorey is so fascinated by bubbles and cups, while Dallen tries to swim under water like a fish. Most of the time they are easy to manage with each other, but there are the occasional tiffs too. :) I can't wait to see how these two become best friends over the next couple years.
