Update on the Cripple

We went to a dr. besides the er to document the injuries that tyler recieved.  (it was recommended by someone...insurance or something)  She recommended that Tyler see a hand specialist and set him up an appt the following week.  They suggested that he have surgery and have a plate and some screws put in.  Here it is...

Here are some pictures of the after sutures were removed.
(funny sidenote...he watched the whole removal while the nurse was taking them out.  The dr. came in and said..."why are you watching?" A few minutes later Ty was (under his breath) "dad, dad, dad...I'm gonna throw up"  Brian said "are you ok?"  The dr. looked at him and he was white and said immediately...lie down and get that color back.  Twas funny.)

Now he wears a pretty cool "cast".  It's removable for showering only.  (cough cough)  It was designed by the us ski team and is just like a snowboarding boot that you can tighten up with a turn of a dial.  Hopefully he'll return to "normal" soon.  He is doing swimmingly.

Nice people...

I love people who are kind.  I appreciate people who are sincere.  I know this brother who has said nothing but kindness and is so thoughtful.  It makes me want to emulate him, be less sarcastic, less cynical and more thoughtful of others.  Because I don't know what others have gone through in their lifetime either. I guess because of what each child has had to endure in their lifetime, no one knows any history or how it will affect them in the future.  It warms my heart (and makes my eyes a little damp) when people are kind to my children and treat them like real people, like they matter and are concerned for their well being.

Nice people rock!  (that's a hint to who it is...hehe)

Don't cook bacon naked...

It's a lonely year...but then again there is no one to race against to get all the good eggs...but then again no one to read all your nateisms to...but then again no one to have share with...but then again.

Here is a couple examples of Nateisms:
A Nay Nay buck that says...Good for one free frosty beverage
If you got this egg..stand up and yell..."I love Nathan Ronald Harris!"
A Nay Nay buck that says...Good for one free lesson on how to wear a seatbelt...

I also sent these to the foreign boys.  It's a fun tradition!

We've kinda been busy...Prom...

Tyler asked a cute young girl name Sydney to Prom.  She is his dance partner for the byu ballroom team.  She goes to another school...it who must not be named...(timpview)

There are only a couple weeks before Prom this year and that is not long for the girl or guy to get prepared but we've kinda been busy with you know...a car accident, surgery and the like.

Here are pictures from both the asking and answering:

It says:
Out of all the fish in the world, Would you go to prom with me?
Then folded individual letters that spell tyler were put into the fish cracker box and resealed.  We also gave her a beta fish which she named Stanley.  We had some cute girls deliver the goods to her front door while she was at school so she would have NO IDEA who could possibly asking her.

Her answer a couple days later:
"An Eggcellent Choice"
"Tyler Yes!!"

Fun times.

To Corin and Jenna and Julia and Tyler

I stole this from my bil fb page.  I thought it was hilarious.  And isn't this the saying that we were trying to figure out...Us oldies...
