Best of the....last few weeks...maybe month!

So I've been trying to catch up on posts from 2016, but I thought I would do a post about a our last few weeks. This Summer has flown by. Between work and trying to keep the kids entertained we are busy, busy, busy.  Here are some highlights....

Last week (7/12) Aidan went in for a consultation with Dr. Reardon and came out with a mouthful of metal. This poor boys mouth is so overcrowded. He was beyond excited to get them on though and hasn't complained once. You can already tell his teeth are moving. Yay!

A couple of my mama friends got together and took the kids swimming. I of course had to work, but was able to drop off my boys! I just have to say how thankful I am for good friends. Sometimes I hate that I have to work (although I love getting a paycheck) during the Summer. I'm thankful for friends who take and watch my kids like their own. Who include them and make sure they get to have some fun while good old mama is working.

Anyway....look at these handsome boys. I can't believe they will all be teenagers soon.

Such a fun group!

On 7/11 we took our Pogo Pass and played a game of laser tag. It was so fun! Nothing beats running around chasing each other and laughing.

Afterwards, we went and got ourselves free slurpees from 7/11

Dylan had been begging to make slime. I found a easy recipe on Pinterest. All the boys had fun making it. Paul even got involved at the end...he had a slime throwing fight with Aidan and Dylan...lol.

Even though it's Summer and we are pretty much on break; the boys hit/pitch in the cages almost once a week along with doing other exercises. They want to make sure to stay hot for the upcoming season.

We went to Papa Bj's and swam with Emma and Greyson. I NEVER get in the pool with the kids, but it was super hot and I wanted to spend better time with them. I have to remember that kids don't care what you look like in a swimsuit. They just want to be with you.  We had fun. Paul threw the boys in the air over and over and Emma practiced her dive while we all ate watermelon in the pool.

We went cosmic bowling as a family. The boys are very competitive and we were all trying to beat each other.  It was a close call, but Paul beat us all! It was fun and we enjoyed being together.

We beat the heat and went to Gameworks thanks to our Pogo pass.  I think this place is heaven on earth for my boys!

And lastly for this post....way back on June 28th we celebrated the most beautiful, kind, selfless, sweet, funny, sister that a girl can ask for. Amber turned 36! We surprised her along with some friends at DW Bistro for lunch and then the adults of the family went to Venetian later that night for dinner. We love Amber so much! She is the best sister and aunt!

Love for home

Try to put in the hearts of your children a love for home.

Make them long to be with their families.

So much sin could be avoided if our people really loved their homes.

Easter 2017

Easter Morning...baskets and treats were set out by the Bunny. The boys were excited to see what he brought. My favorites were the money banks and cd's from our favorite speaker Hank Smith!

We had to hurry and get ready for church. I wanted to get a picture of my handsome crew, but Dylan was not having it. He wouldn't get in and when he finally did, we only saw the top of his head. I think it made for a cute pic though.

After church, we went to Papa BJ's and Grandma Irina's. We love that Grandma does so much for the kids. She always has huge baskets and does a big egg hunt. The kids just love it!

Next, we went to Yaya's for a big Easter Dinner, a message about our Savior and then we hung out, outside and talked and listened to some of the kids play the piano, violin and be silly and sing some songs.

best of the week(s)

I haven't posted in a long time, but I'm feeling the need to get updated. There are so many "best" in our lives right now. So here I go....

We hit up two movies in the last few weeks. First, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. Kaylyn made everyone a wand. They were super cool and the boys haven't put them down.

Second, Trolls. Look at all these Smith boys....they are so handsome and best friends for life!

Dylan loves to draw lately. He drew Paul and I. Didn't he do great!

We had a baseball tournament this weekend. Paul went to Colten's games (so I have no pictures) and Dylan and I went to Aidan's. He worked really hard this weekend and loves this sport so much! He asked for a cake pop from Starbucks for a treat after the game...of course I said yes, but he had to take a selfie with me..lol. He's my twin, don't you think?!?!  Also, check out my hat that I'm in love with. Picked it up from one of the vendors at the game. So. Cute.

Here's some pics of Aidan working out at the cages this week.

While Aidan is working out at practice, Dylan is coloring. He can color better than me!

Below are pics I got of Colten and his buddy Ryder. After one of our games, they came to watch Aidan play basketball...don't they look thrilled.

We took them to Outback afterwards. We had Ryder try the ahi tuna...I don't think he was a fan.

Colten's team played in the MLK tourney and made it to the championship, but came up short. These boys are the best! They work hard and the work together!

Straight from the game to piano lessons. Colten wasn't that happy with me, but he is doing so well in piano and I want him to keep it up. We are so busy and I know sometimes it's hard, but I'm so very proud of him!

We went and saw Monster Truck with some of our favorite people in the world. I'm so thankful for good friends!

The boys decided to paint the other day. I love when they get creative!
