So I've been trying to catch up on posts from 2016, but I thought I would do a post about a our last few weeks. This Summer has flown by. Between work and trying to keep the kids entertained we are busy, busy, busy. Here are some highlights....
Last week (7/12) Aidan went in for a consultation with Dr. Reardon and came out with a mouthful of metal. This poor boys mouth is so overcrowded. He was beyond excited to get them on though and hasn't complained once. You can already tell his teeth are moving. Yay!
A couple of my mama friends got together and took the kids swimming. I of course had to work, but was able to drop off my boys! I just have to say how thankful I am for good friends. Sometimes I hate that I have to work (although I love getting a paycheck) during the Summer. I'm thankful for friends who take and watch my kids like their own. Who include them and make sure they get to have some fun while good old mama is working.
Anyway....look at these handsome boys. I can't believe they will all be teenagers soon.
Such a fun group!
On 7/11 we took our Pogo Pass and played a game of laser tag. It was so fun! Nothing beats running around chasing each other and laughing.
Afterwards, we went and got ourselves free slurpees from 7/11
Dylan had been begging to make slime. I found a easy recipe on Pinterest. All the boys had fun making it. Paul even got involved at the end...he had a slime throwing fight with Aidan and Dylan...lol.
Even though it's Summer and we are pretty much on break; the boys hit/pitch in the cages almost once a week along with doing other exercises. They want to make sure to stay hot for the upcoming season.
We went to Papa Bj's and swam with Emma and Greyson. I NEVER get in the pool with the kids, but it was super hot and I wanted to spend better time with them. I have to remember that kids don't care what you look like in a swimsuit. They just want to be with you. We had fun. Paul threw the boys in the air over and over and Emma practiced her dive while we all ate watermelon in the pool.
We went cosmic bowling as a family. The boys are very competitive and we were all trying to beat each other. It was a close call, but Paul beat us all! It was fun and we enjoyed being together.
We beat the heat and went to Gameworks thanks to our Pogo pass. I think this place is heaven on earth for my boys!
And lastly for this post....way back on June 28th we celebrated the most beautiful, kind, selfless, sweet, funny, sister that a girl can ask for. Amber turned 36! We surprised her along with some friends at DW Bistro for lunch and then the adults of the family went to Venetian later that night for dinner. We love Amber so much! She is the best sister and aunt!
