I'm Back!

Okay, after receiving a whole lot of flack from everyone, I am finally updating my blog a little. Not a lot has changed with my family but here is an update. (To the left are my boys with their cousin James).

Jesse James (above) was born on March 13th 2008. So he will be turning one in just a few days. I can't believe it. Time just flys! He has been an awesome addition to our family. He is such a good baby. He rarely cries and just doesn't make much noise. His little personality is coming out more each day. He has 6 teeth already. He still does not crawl or walk. He gets from A to B by doing his army crawl. We have tried and tried but he just has no interest in either. Landen loves being a big brother and is a great helper for his mom.
Landen started Kindergarten in August of 2008. He says he doesn't like school, yet he is always talking about it and telling me all the fun things he does. So I think he is trying to fool me.

In October of 2008, Landen was diagnosed as being bi-polar with ADHD. We have found him a great psychiatrist that has been working with him and monitoring his daily medications. Landen is now taking 2 medications twice per day. He never lets me forget to give them to him either. Since beginning the meds Landen has improved greatly. Poor little guy was dealing with a lot and is now a much happier kid.

We have just signed Landen up for Flag Football. His season runs from March 28th to May 16th (I think) with games on Saturdays. Garrett has spent a lot of time with Landen showing him how to play. Landen has developed a great arm and an amazing spiral. Landen can't wait for football to start.

Garrett and I had our second anniversary in October of 2008. Life is good!

New Baby

Okay, so I said that I would let you all know what I was having...it's another boy! We are so very excited and have already given him a name. His name will be Jesse James Smith! Landen is so excited he can hardly wait to have a brother in the house. He asks me everyday, mommy when will the baby come out? Why is he taking so long? I think it's cute and just tell him that his brother will be here soon enough. My due date is still March 26th. We are a little stressed though since he have to start ALL over. We have NO baby stuff left from Landen. I guess that gives us a reason to shop and have a baby shower.

EXCITING NEWS!

Hello All:

I know it has been some time since I have last posted. It's hard since I don't have a scanner or printer. I can't ever get pictures uploaded to add to my blog. Anyway, the Smith Family has some exciting news.... are you ready???

Garrett and I are having a baby! I am 16 weeks and will find out on the 18th of October what we are having. We are very excited to be expanding our little family. Landen is happy to be getting a playmate in our house too. He will be a great big brother.

Our Little Family

Okay, I have been asked many times when I was going to create a blog for my family. Well, I guess there is not time like today. I am not totally sure how this all works, but I'll figure it out. Hope you enjoy this and there will be more to come.

This is my wonderful husband Garrett and myself on our Wedding Day October 21, 2006.

Garrett and I met through mutual friends of my ex husbands. After things were over between Joe and I, Garrett and I began talking quite a bit. It was as if he was sent to rescue me. I know that sounds cheesy but I think it's true. He has been such a blessing to my son and myself. Things moved quickly between the two of us but it felt so right. He has helped Landen grow into a wonderful little boy. Garrett is always there to help me out when I am beyond frustrated with everyday things. He has been a real strength in my life. Garrett has helped me stand up for myself, find myself, and be a better wife and mother. If it wasn't for him I am not sure where Landen and I would be today. Garrett is 28 but has lived through some very hard times. Garrett had a daughter at the age of 17 and her name was Jayden. She passed away at 9 months old from cancer. Garrett then had another daughter named Bailee at the age of 21. She lives with her mother and adoptive father in Yuma. Garrett allowed for Bailee's mother to adopt her and it was finalized on June 18th. He spent much time thinking about this decision and realized that it would be best for his daughter. He had not seen her in several years and knew that Philip is who she knew as her father. Finally Garrett has a son named Patrick that is 3 who lives in California with his mother.

Although Garrett has not had the opportunity to be around his children much (long story), I can honestly say that he is an awesome father to our boys. I could not ask for a better father for Landen and Jesse.
