IT'S FINALLY HERE!!

TWILIGHT has FINALLY hit theaters! 1 year ago was when we had our first book club to discuss Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. When I found out that they were making a movie shortly after I read all 3 of the books, I became interested, or as Heber would put it, "Obsessed", with finding out all the details of the movie, like who was directing it, who was going to play Bella and Edward and all the rest of the characters. I joined the website called twilightmoms.com, and then found that through them I could get all the newest updates about the movie, Stephenie Meyer, and the cast of Twilight. So every day for a whole year, I have checked their website to get my "Twilight fix". Sounds a little obsessed? I suppose, but I garuntee that there are other fans of the movie who are MORE "obsessed" than I am. Here's a couple of examples.. There were fans who drove 20+ hours to the Twilght movie set in Oregon and Washington. Have I done that? NO, would I have done that if the oportunity presented itself? Maybe. Another example of people being more obsessed than myself is, people getting tatoos of quotes from the book or their own quotes, and women who were naming their new babies after a character in Twilight. First, I don't have tattoos, nor would I ever get one of anything! Second, even though I like the name Bella, My better half would have his say in the matter, and that would be a resounding NO. So there you have it. I am not ashamed to admit that I'm a little "obsessed" about the Twilght movie. I liked the movie, despite a few things that could have been better. Yes I was one of the screaming girls in the theater. :) I am even more excited about the New Moon coming out because I know that they will have a MUCH bigger budget to work with and it will be even better than Twilight. Here are some pictures of our trip to the midnight showing of Twilight. :)Whitney... I caught her off gaurd. LOL!
Kirsten's fabulous belly with the perfect phrase. :)
This is my attempt at getting a picture of the line we were in. I didn't want to go out into the middle of it and attempt another picture.. these people gave me a look like "did you just take my picture without my permission?" Then I had to explain what I was doing and then they were cool with it.
This is part of our group sitting on the floor while waiting for our line to move. We got there around 10pm. Thank goodness we didn't get there any later. 4 more people were added to our group later. Making a total of 10.
Mari and I, the two most enthusiastic about the Twilght movie. :) Well, when it came close to the movie coming out, more of our friends came "out of the closet" with their enthusiasm about the movie. :)

Kristi and I.. Thanks for making our shirts Kristi! And thank you Heber for helping me come up with a logo for my shirt. (Edward for President) I got a few reactions to my shirt. :) good ones.
Whitney's phrase on her shirt. too cute.

The saddest thing to hear.....

Today Ethan came up the stairs crying.  I asked him what was wrong and he said that his tooth was hurting.  I gave him some motrin and then I put some ambesol gel on his tooth.  5 minutes later, he started crying harder and louder and saying that his tooth is hurting really bad.  I told him that the medicine should start working in 15 minutes.  Ethan continued to agonize in pain.  Heber came upstairs and asked Ethan if he had said a prayer and Ethan said yes.  Heber told him to get in the shower because it will help him feel better, so he did.  While I was sitting here at the computer, Ethan was in the shower crying some more, then I hear him crying out loud " Heavenly Father, Please make it stop!"  And then " Heavenly Father, PLEASE, I'm begging you!"  It was the saddest thing to hear my son cry out to Heavenly Father to help his pain go away.  5 minutes passed, and he stopped crying.  Something funny to end this sad story is that While Ethan was in the shower he was saying " Why do we have cavities!", " I wish there wasn't such a thing!"  LOL!  I remember having a serious toothache, it made me want to smash my head against the wall over and over! Some how I thought that might make the pain go away.  LOL!

My little helpers

I wish I could say that this is what it's like every night at my house.... But it's not. :)  I really SHOULD have them help like this every night while they are at the age where they are willing to do it without a fuss. :)  They did do this a few nights in a  row which was a GREAT help to me.  This was a Sunday night. Heber and the boys helped clean the kitchen, which was so nice. :)  Ethan did a great job putting the dishes away in the right spots and Dallin did a great job doing the dishes. :) Thanks boys. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Lacey & the girls come to visit

Lacey and the girls came to visit us the week before Halloween.  Ryan went out of town for business, and so they came to Kansas to visit us while he was gone.  The time flew by so fast while they were here!  You know the saying "Time flies by while your having fun".  Well, we  had a lot of fun!

I was trying to get Eva to smile, and every time she did, she would put her hands in her face. :)
I put this bow in her hair. :)  I couldn't help it.
Aubrey LOVED Bella, but Bella did NOT love Aubrey for some reason.
Lacey says that Owen looks like Moguely from the Jungle book. :)
Playing rough. :)  Aubrey sure is a tough girl.  She can hold her own while playing with Owen
I love the look on her face!
Tarzan meets Jane.
Funny kids. :)

F-R-U-S-T-R-A-T-E-D !

I have attempted like 4 times to get pictures posted up, and every time I attatch the pictures I want and push the upload button, I sit and wait......and wait.... and wait..... and wait some more.....until it's been like 20 minutes! And then I just have to close the window and try again, and after the second time I try doing it, and there's still no success, I just give up! And then I wait like another week before I try again! AHHH!! What in the world could be the problem?!! Our internet connection isn't slow, and I closed down any windows that were left open! Does anyone else have this problem??? I sware I'm gonna be bald by the time I try again and it ends up failing again, because I'll have pulled out all of my hair! Can you tell I'm a little steamed about this? LOL!

Our new baby boy!

GOTCHA! MADE YA LOOK! I was looking at a friends blog, and found out about the Volks Wagon website, which has this fun feature of letting you download a picture of you and your spouse, then they will mix the features together and show you what your child might look like. :) So I thought I'd see if they were even slightly close to what any of our boys look like. Tell me what you think? And check it out for yourself.

Update....

Unfortunately I have no pictures to post right now.  But I have a lot to say about what's been going on lately for us.  Last weekend Heber went out of town to Richmond VA for his company's annual training meetings.  He was gone for a week.  During that time I was able to drive to Arkansas and visit our close friends Neil and Lu'isa and their two boys, Moana and Gordy.  We Stayed with them the first weekend that Heber was gone.  The first night we got there, we followed Lu'isa to a birthday party that they were invited to from a lady in their ward.  On our way there, we turned a corner and saw this guy laying in the middle of the road!  I thought it was some dummy at first, but then he started to move a little, and me and the boys were saying "Holy cow, that's a real guy!"  We were the second people to get to the scene, the first was an older couple who had already called the police.  We noticed that he was riding a scooter, and it was off to the side of the road.  We weren't really sure what happened because his scooter didn't look like it was messed up.  Well, we waited for the police to get there and we were able to drive around him.  The whole time I was thinking, If it were anyone else who turned that corner and wasn't being alert would've ran right over him!  As we were driving by the guy, Dallin say's "Mommy, don't look at him!"  I asked him if he looked at the guy, and he said "NO WAY!"  I had to laugh a little. :)  I told the boys that the wouldn't have been hurt as badly if he was wearing a helmet.  Ethan kept saying "I've NEVER seen an accident like that!"  wish they hadn't seen it.  OH well.  A good lesson was learned.  The rest of the trip was much more fun. :)  No bed times for the boys, cake, pizza, and movies were all on our agenda.  Ethan didn't want to leave when it was time to go.  He is the one who has the hardest time leaving familly and friends. :(  The rest of the week was so busy for me!  We sold about 40 things on Ebay, and I had to pack all of those items up and take them to the post office.  I had signed up to help out in Dallin's class that week, as well as read a story to Ethan's class.  And Ethan had a book report that was due that Friday.  Mixed in with all that was Ethan't  football practices.  The boys all slept in our bed.  I did not get much sleep. :)  Oh and Bella got a big gash on her foot while she was boarded at the Vet while I was in Arkansas, and so her paw had to be wrapped up and they put that cone thing around her head so that she couldn't get to her bandage.  It was quite a funny site, WHICH I did not take a picture of it like I should've!  She did manage to tear off her bandage. (stinker).  Thursday night Me and the boys spent the night at our my friend Kiley's house, and Kiley and I had a girls night watching 27 dresses and eating cheetos, mini hershey bars and brownies. YUM YUM!  That movie was so cute!  I was SOOO happy when Friday was here and Heber was going to be home!   He got in that night.  I managed to clean the house and clean out his car before we left to pick him up.  We got there about 15 minutes early and so I had to drive around in circles till he landed and got his bags, all the while I got all jittery and excited about seeing him.  It felt like it had when we were dating and I'd have to drive to Dallas to see him.  Oh it was so great when we finally saw each other!  The next morning was Ethan's first football game, but not his teams first game.  Before we signed him up, Heber made sure that the games weren't going to be on Sunday.  Well things changed and they had a couple of his games on Sunday, so he wasn't able to play. :(  He was so excited to finally get to play in a game.  He did really well.  The game ended up being tied.  Then we got home and got ready and packed up to go to St. Louis for Eva's blessing.  We brought Bella with us since Lacey and Ryan had a fenced in back yard.  Aubrey LOVED Bella.  It was too cute.  Eva was just the happiest, smiliest baby!  I loved holding her.  Owen LOVED kissing her. It was so nice to see Heber's parents too and Ryan's parents and Drew and Lynn.  We had a little celebration for Danielle, Georgia (Ryan's mom), and Owen's birthdays.  We had a YUMMY ice cream cake for them.  THE END. :P

GO ROYALS! YEAH!

This last Wednesday, Chris Lansing, the owner of the company Heber works for, came into town and took our family out to the Royals game.  We knew Owen wouldn't last at the game, so my wonderful friend Kirsten, agreed to baby sit Owen for us.  We wanted to make a good impression on Chris, so that's why we had the boys dress nice for the game. :) I'm happy when there's an excuse to get them dressed up.  They DO NOT like dressing up at all.  Ethan and Dallin were GREAT at the game.  Chris kept complimenting me on how great they were.  Ethan was our comedian that night.  He got me into a laughing frenzy with his hysterical faces.  I found out that night while talking to Chris, that he's great friends with Kevin's mission president!  Small world!  It was a great night and Ethan didn't want to leave.  We left during the 8th inning.  He wanted to stay and catch a ball.
Psyched for the game!  Don't they look so handsome!
this picture is out of order, but this was towards the end of the game, and Ethan got in this silly mood, as you can see.  While Chris and Heber were discussing work, Ethan would pop out from beside Heber and make this face and then pop back behind Heber.  I was cracking up the whole time! If Chris saw him, Ethan would go back to his straight face.  BUT Chris caught him making his crazy face and started laughing too. :)  We love our boys!

Our team up to bat

Super huge and super awesome high-def Screen.  Pretty sweet huh.  It's brand new.  They are almost done with the stadiums renovations.
Poor Dallin couldn't stay up much past 9:00
I meant to get one of him smiling, and this is what he does at the last minute.  :) that's my boy.  Aren't you loving his toothless grin?!

GO CHIEFS!! WOO HOO!

While I was in St. Louis dropping off Danielle and visiting Lacey and Ryan, Heber and Ethan were were back home having a blast together... going to the new animated Star Wars movie and going to the Chiefs game.  Ethan's football team got free tickets to the game.  They got to walk on the field with the players and sit in good seats while they watched the game.  I'm glad they got some one on one time together. :) I had fun seeing Lacey and Ryan and Aubrey and Eva. :) Can't wait to see more of them now that they live close by.

BREAKING DAWN!

Hey all you Ladies!  I have just finished reading Breaking Dawn yesterday!!! YEAH!!!  Have any of you read it yet??  IF so tell me what you think?   I was very pleased with the way the book ended.  It could EASILY keep going on and on, so I am sad that this is the LAST book!  I honestly think she should keep going with it. :)  OH well (sigh).

Making a change...

I don't know why I haven't done this already, but after a friend of mine told me that she heard that I had pictures of her kids on my blog (which all my kids were in too).  She asked me if I could delete the pictures, and of course I did.  She told me that her and her husband were uncomfortable with it because you never know who's looking at the pictures.  And she's right, and I don't want some weirdo pervert looking at my kids, So then I remembered that I could set my blog to be viewed by only the people I invite.  BUT  I don't have some of your emails!  I've got all my family's and extended family's emails, but I don't have all my friends emails!  So PLEASE send me your email addresses as soon as possible.

Hospital Hill 1/2 Marathon!

WE DID IT!!!  Melissa and I managed to get through 16 mph winds, 79% humidity, and 5+ hills! And on top of that, I had two side cramps, a cramp in my left quad and an ache in my right knee!  At mile 7 I was really doubting my ability to get through the race.  I kept praying and praying to receive strength and endurance to make it to the finish line.  My prayers were answered and I was able to push myself and make it through the finish line sprinting as fast as I could!  Even though my time was not to my expectations ( 2 hours 38 min) I was proud of myself for completing the race with 1 month of training!  Thank you Melissa for inviting me to run with you and CONNING me into running the marathon! :)  It was a pleasure to run with you! Funny thing... I know I am a pretty competitive person, and Melissa says she's not, and the day of the race, she was telling me that it was ok if I wanted to run ahead of her...... well, Melissa ended up running ahead of me!  You go girl!

The boys had a BLAST playing in the water fountains at the race!

Owen didn't really want to get wet. :P  The poor guy had a fever when he got home. :(
