Soccer Time
Soccer is back in season and judging by this first game, it's going to be a fun year. Kali finally gets to play on a bigger field. They now do throw-ins instead of kick-ins and they also have a goalie. Her team actually practices during the week too. They're starting to learn positions and passing instead of following the ball around like a swarm of bees. I'm glad she's already played for four years now because she's not intimidated by the ball like some of the beginners. She's able to listen to what her coach and Josh and I tell her to do and work on those things. She's a good little player and it will be fun to see her progress throughout the season.

Bike Rides
Last summer we began a tradition of going on short bike rides as a family to a nearby church and then playing a game of freeze tag. We would often do it as our family home evening activity and bring marshmallows along for our treat. Then we would have our family scripture study and head home. The girls loved it so much that they asked to do it several times during the winter too. Well today, we were finally able to give it a try again. Unfortunately we ran into a few problems. Emma can't ride in our trailer until she's a little older so I had to push her in a stroller. And Sadie is too big to be in the trailer with Ashlyn so she now has to ride a bike. The ride to the church is all uphill so we changed our route to a small park nearby (it was even a tough ride for Sadie, but it worked out since I was walking). When we got there, Sadie reminded me that I forgot to bring the marshmallows. And then because it was a park, the girls played on the swings and slide instead of playing tag. To sum it up, I think our tradition has changed. But I'm sure the girls will look forward to this new version just as much.

Black and White
Sometimes I have fun with matching outfits and today was one of those days. We all put on our Sunday black and white and added a little color for fun. Emma was the only one that didn't match, but that's okay because she's smiling in her sleep in the picture.

Baby Sister
Ashlyn just loves having a baby sister...a little too much sometimes. If she's being quiet, I often find her this close to Emma or even closer. I've caught her not only sitting in the vibrator with Emma but picking it up and moving it too. She pushes her in the swing, kisses the top of her head over and over, sings to her and reads to her. The only problem is that Ashlyn has been sick almost half of the time since Emma was born so we're often getting frustrated that she can't just keep her hands off of her. Thankfully Emma hasn't caught anything yet.

The Church History Museum
The last couple of times we've tried to visit the Church History Museum as a family, it has been closed. Today we finally made it inside and it was so much fun. If we would have had more time, we would have stayed another hour or so to explore the top floor. We only had enough time to do the main floor and the kid's area.
They've changed the kid's area since the last time we were there and it is so much more fun and interactive now. The girls were running all over the place doing fun things. I though this dancing area was fabulous. They have little videos the kids can watch to learn the new dances while wearing these beautiful skirts. There are even hats and vests for the boys.

Easter Morning
Easter morning is so much fun when you have girls. I get to dress my cute girls up in cute clothes, and they love it just as much as I do. Now if I could just get them to cooperate for a picture. I think we took about 50 pictures and this is the only one where they're all looking. Unfortunately it's a little blurry. Oh well, they still look cute.

Easter Egg Hunts
I love this picture because of all the bright colors everyone is wearing. They almost look like a basket of colored Easter eggs themselves. This was taken at our first Easter egg hunt of the day at Grandma Bohman's house. She had a silver egg and a golden egg hidden with bigger prizes in them and Kali found both of them within the first few minutes of the hunt. She was so excited.
At Grandma Smith's house, a silver and gold egg were also hidden, but they were for the adults. They were not easy to find at all. But after a lot of hints, Josh ended up with the silver one. The girls just loved the candy. Ashy would open up the eggs, and if they didn't have candy in them, they were thrown to the side.

Coloring Easter Eggs
We almost forgot to color Easter eggs this year. Thankfully we remembered less than 48 hours before because it's one of my favorite things to do, and I would have been really sad to have to wait another year. Despite Sadie's frown in this picture, I think my girls have developed the same love for coloring eggs. We had some pretty fun colors this year and discovered a new use for the clear crayon
Ashlyn's eggs turned out the best though. She was plopping any egg she could find into the different colors. It didn't matter how many colors they already had on them. And because of all the mixtures, her eggs were pretty darn cool. Thankfully Josh was in charge of keep her under control because I don't think I would have been able to laugh about color flying everywhere as easily if she had been my responsibility. She had so much fun.

One Month Old
Emma's first month of life has already come and gone. Time is flying by. She's a pretty happy baby, although, she can easily work herself into a fit if she's awake and not being held. I must say that I think she's turning out to be a mommy's girl. No matter how much Josh talks to her, she hardly even makes eye contact with him. On the other hand, she not only listens to me intently, I've successfully gotten her to smile a couple of times.

Andrew
My cousin, Andrew, was tragically killed in an accident at the age of sixteen. It's always hard to lose someone and especially at such a young age. But if you could be happy about anyone moving on, that's how I feel about Andrew. He was such a good kid that I have no doubt he is in a much better place and will receive every possible blessing Heavenly Father has in store for him. One of my favorite memories of him was from the year I got married. It also happened to be the year he got baptized. Grandma Bair lived in California at the time and was only able to travel to Utah for one family event. She chose to come to my wedding and Andrew was a little disappointed. My punishment for Grandma having to miss his baptism is that he asked me to speak at his baptism. It was so cute. I was more than happy to oblige and ended up really enjoying my preparation for the talk. That's the kind of person he was, good-natured and kind-hearted and he lived a gospel-centered life.
