After the yard work was done, Mom and Dad wanted to take the boys to a really cool train park in Scottsdale. The boys had a fantastic time. There was a great playground, a train and carousel to ride, and a miniature Old West town where Josh could climb on the roof and "be Germans." Clearly, there were some older boys playing there that he was influenced by as Josh knows nothing of Germans or any reason to be or not be German. It was a warm day but not as bad as Arizona can be--although you can't tell that by the boys' faces. They are definitely not used to the heat.
On our last day in Arizona, my parents took us to the Chandler water tower. Just a small area next to the historic water tower with fountains in the ground that the boys could run through. They LOVED it! We only had a few minutes there, so I'm sure Josh will put this on his list of "must-do's" when we go back.
