Thanksgiving program..

Recently Ava and Hudson had their Thanksgiving program at preschool. They couldn't wait for it! Ava has done a drastic improvement since her first year-finger in her mouth and hardly even looking up. She really enjoyed it this year!

A song about Mr. Turkey. They made their shirts and she loved wearing it..
The baby fish song..

Hi mommy and daddy!

You've got a friend in me....

Watching for the trick or treaters to come.

As you can see, Ava and Hudson were Buzz and Woody for Halloween this year. I tried for Woody and Jessie but Ava insisted on being Buzz. They had a good time trick or treating and at their school parties.

Taking a break in the corn maze...

The hayride out to the pumpkin patch and the corn maze

We got to tour the fire station with a bunch of our friends from play group. The fire station is just down the road from us so they are even more excited every time we go by it. They can't wait until we can take walks and stop back in to see the fire station again.

Hudson was supposed to be looking in the back seat and I looked up and there he was! Sitting in the front seat! The firemen said he couldn't hurt anything!

If you hadn't noticed yet, September is a big month of birthdays at our house. Ava's is Sept. 1st and then Hudson's is September 16th. Here are some pictures from the last two weeks of celebrating. Warning--there are quite a few pictures!!

Checking out all the cars passing by and seeing who would wave back

This is what we were riding on...the Boilermaker Special! It was so much fun. Hudson couldn't believe that it came to his house and he kept saying, "this is so fun!" They took us over to campus and drove around -on the sidewalks which all the kids couldn't get over.

Some of our good friends and cousins at the Purdue fountain.

Boiler UP!

It's at my house!!

I'm not sure this picture really does this thing justice...it really took up almost all of our front yard. Thankfully, we had recently gotten our tree trimmed or I'm not sure that it would have fit!! We got it on Friday morning and jumped, and jumped, and jumped until we had to return it on Monday. The kids were so sad that it had to be returned. I think the neighbors were glad that we had to return it so they didn't have to look at that huge frog anymore!! Whew, that was a long post and now we can relax the rest of this month!

Happy 3rd Birthday Hudson!!

Today my little boy is 3years old. I really can't believe it!! He is such a sweet, tender hearted little boy who is growing up so fast! He loves school and would go everyday if he could and stay all day as he puts it.

First Day of school...

Here are a few pictures from the first (kind of )day of school this week. They both had a shortened week this week at school. So the official first week is next week. It was kind of crazy to be sending both kiddos to school. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with one full morning without any kids...if anyone has suggestions, let me know!! :)

Off to school...

Ready to meet her new teachers....

Awww...they really do love each other!

I'm ready mom!

Ready to go...

"I'm this excited for school!!"

Hudson update

Hudson is growing up like crazy...he can be such a funny little guy. He is so tender-hearted and is learning as much as he can. Recently, I tried to trim up the front of his hair but it didn't turn out the best. So after many comments (from people other than his father too) he got a trim. Here is the before picture...someone compared the haircut to the one on Dumb & Dumber...

Ready for first haircut in the digger..

The finished product...she said it was the skater look. We'll go with that look! The skater look goes well with all his bumps and bruises!
