It seems like Christmas has snuck up on us and Christmas is not even a week away! And like everyone else we've been busy with all of the joys that come along with the season. We've been making Christmas candy, writing Christmas letters, visiting friends and family, looking at lights and enjoying the snow(sort of!). We love a white Christmas and Jason has been really good at keeping the drive way clear. With today's snow fall it seems as though we have a foot of snow! It is really pretty, but then the cold sets in and then we start wondering if we really love the snow! To share some pictures, we went to Jason's sister house for a sweater party. We were all supposed to wear the Christmas sweaters that have snow flakes and Christmas lights and stuff on them, but most of us just wore sweaters. Thanks to Jason's cousin, we had a litte sweater vest that Jaydon wore with reindeer on it! Jason's mom and Jaydon were the only one's with "Christmas sweaters" on, they should've won a prize! It was a fun party with lots of goodies to eat~(gotta love the holiday foods!)
We also had a good game of Battle of the Sexes and I'm not sure if the girls or guys won, but I'm pretty sure it was the girls:)! Thanks to Travis and Jessica for having all of us and our loud kids at their house.
We also went out last night in 5 degree weather to deliver neighbor treats! We bundled Jaydon up and he reminded us of the kid on the movie Christmas Story because he couldn't move his arms, we thought it was pretty funny. We put him in the stroller and put blankets around him, then we put hats and gloves on and went out! It was almost like we were little candy elves, and we had a good time, but poor Jaydon was soooo tired when we were done. He was a good sport! But beyond all of the parties and good cheer we can all spread, it really is nice to look back and realize how blessed we are. We have a lot to be thankful for and every year we try to keep the "Christmas Spirit" with us for more than just December, but for all year round because it really does feel good to share with other and give service for those in need. Oh, it really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Thanksgiving weekend
Well, the weekend we have looked forward to has come and gone. It was held with so much anticipation because not only did we get a break from our regular lives, but Jason took his last CPA test on the Wednesday before! I am excited for him to have taken the last one and he is pretty confident that he passed. I am excited for ME to have my husband back, he can now come home from work and play with me and Jaydon! We will have to have a BIG party when he gets the offical results!
Thanksgiving was fun too...we went to Idaho Falls and spent a couple days with my family. After turkey dinner we went out in my parents yard to get a picture just in case the pictures we are getting this week don't turn out. Then we decided to have an almost-all-nighter, no JAYDON decided we'd have an almost-all-nighter on Thanksgiving thanks to his 1st tooth appearing! But we resisted the urge to go shopping at 4 am and waited until about 10 am to leave. We both think it is fun to get out and be with other holiday shoppers and since my family was willing to watch Jaydon, Jason and I left and got most of our shopping done! That night all of my sister's that slept at my parents decided to paint our toe nails and we'd laugh like a bunch of teenagers (or laugh because we were all really tired!) It was fun to see all of the family and have a break from life, but now we are getting excited about the Christmas season and all of the fun things to do in December!

Congrats Travis and Jessica!
Yesterday Jason's sister got married! It was a fun day and they both looked really nice! Travis and Jessica were married at the Logan Temple with a luncheon at the Coppermill afterwards. Later that night their reception was held in Richmond. Everything looked really good and it was fun to be there for them and see family that we hadn't seen for awhile! Congratulations you guys!!!
This is Jason and I with Jaydon through out the day. Jason came home from being gone to Heber all week with my sweater from the outlets in Park City. Jason and I go there a couple of times a year and so I've turned my husband into a shopper! I had been telling him I wanted a cream sweater for awhile and WHA-LA! I didn't have to even look for this one, nice job honey! (I put the picture of our family on here because we don't get the 3 of us in a picture together very much-with us looking half-decent!)
I added this picture to let you all see how perfect our child is! No, I'm kidding...but it was really cute this morning when Jason was feeding Jaydon his cereal. He just sat there with his arms folded and let Jason dish it in...too bad he isn't always like that!

Oh, they grow so fast!
Today, my sister and I were looking through her pictures and she had a bunch from my baby shower and when Jaydon was just a few days old. Oh, he was so tiny and my goodness, I was super big and swollen! I'm glad that he's growing and I'm hopefully slimming a bit:), but here are a few pictures of the past...

Crazy couple of weeks!
It seems like the last couple of weeks have been really busy! And it isn't even the "holiday season" yet! Some friends of ours called us up and came to Logan to go to dinner and the Pumpkin Walk, then Jason's sister baby sat for us and we had our 2nd offical date! So what do we do? Go to dinner! (and buy formula and diapers afterwards:)! Then when we got home, our friends that live behind us had called wondering if we wanted to go to dinner with them the following night to The Black Pearl...so of course we say yes! Halloween night, Jason talks me into running to McDonald's, because after all, I didn't have dinner ready and there were lots of people to go see with Jaydon. Then Jason's sister went through the temple last weekend and afterwards what do they do? The family goes to dinner! AAAAH! I told Jason that starting in November we should keep little journals...his can be the spending record and mine can be the calorie/food journal! I'll tell you how it goes at the end of November!
And in between all of this Jaydon had his 6 month appointment-he was 17.5 pounds and 27.5 inches. He has now had a taste of all of the veggies and fruits and now he gets a variety of everything. And after adjusting him to formula he even takes one full formula bottle everyday!
This is us at the Pumpkin Walk, it was fun and not too busy for a Friday night, but it was really, really cold!
Isn't Jaydon a cute Tiger? He didn't really like being dressed up, and he smeared his wiskers and nose, but oh well, what he really liked was looking at all of the kids dressed up that came trick-or-treating to our house! Devin managed to come by for some trick-or-treating too before the basketball game!

Our mini Vacations
Ok, these two pictures aren't from our vacations, but Jaydon was so cute in his toy the other day. He was talking to the little monkey and doing this high-pitched ahhh noise. It's kinda piercing to be honest, but it's a "happy" noise! Then Jason got home last night from Elder's Quorum and relieved me by taking Jaydon and then he came into the room and said "Hi mom" for Jaydon and so I looked up and saw this! I think Jason thought it was more fun than Jaydon though!
Last weekend, we went for a little trip. We had a hotel stay and zoo passes from Jason's work since we didn't make the cruise they went on. So, we drove to Layton on Friday night and stayed at the Hilton and then woke up the next morning to go to Hogle Zoo. The trip was fun but so cold! Luckily we missed the snow by going to the zoo early but we decided to go and get Jaydon a hat just in case. He was so cute in it and warm too!
I decided that I would go with Jason on a business trip to Heber City/Salina (exciting, I know!) It was actually pretty fun, the only bad part was waiting for Jason to be done one morning. Jaydon was so cute (and patient) while playing with my but luckily, he fell asleep in his carseat! I wore him out! It ended up being fun though. We went to Park City for outlet shopping and on the way home we stopped and visited Jason's sister and kids! Maybe next year we can go on a real vacation!

Here's the cutest kid I was talking about...
Jaydon and me up at my parents.
Jason and Jaydon studying for the CPA exam.
Hey ladies, he'll be available in 21 years!
(I think I'll use this picture at his wedding!)
Jaydon realized that he likes his tummy!
This is Jaydon in my favorite spot.
Anyone who knows me and has had
a baby knows that I have a special place
for babies in the corner of the couch!

THE SLEIGHT FAMILY
Hello all, we are now part of the world of blogging. I am all for it, but Jason is hard to convince! So, since he's away on a business trip, he can come home and I'll say "Look what I did!" Since my facebook has now been overtaken by old mission buddies since he didn't want to open his own, I'm sure he'll soon love this blog page and be able to add to it too!
