Hah. This will be the 70th post. I am well on my way to a hundred and nothing can stop me! Well, except maybe if you happen to include time, studies, running out of stupid ideas and last but not least my mom.
I will call for mercy to rain down this very moment if I have the ability to do so. Save me from this oh-so-imminent destruction. The will to focus on studying now is so fickle I can hardly stop thinking of books. Novels to be precise. Which brings me to my next point. (Ok, I am starting to sound like Dharma and Kelvin with all their factual essay words coming into play in short narratives. What the heck. I mean, how can you insert crap like "furthermore" into a narrative or short story at the beginning of a new paragraph? Save that for the stupid factuals. Hope everyone learns something from this little snide comment and not repeat that stupid mistake.)
Next point: I have finished Kafka on The Shore. For the second time. What an achievement. When I first read it I was what? 15 years old? Now I am approaching that oh-so-sweet-n-sour sixteen which to me sounds like some kinda candy (sweet sixteen? too girly...I prefer sexy sixteen...) I happen to understand that novel far better. All those little metaphors and deep stuff. The way the novel turned out towards the end was kind of depressing and sad. As of all novels I have read. It usually ends up in someone or a group of people dying. I think Jia Min and Keegan agree with me when I say that Miss Saeki's death is a real waste after all those little "favours" she had been giving Kafka. What a waste right? hehe...I do believe that Haruki Murakami is a good writer. Reading his novels are like some kind of an other world experience, just like Stephen King. It takes a lot for people to impress me. I show like I have some liking to some people and try to be nice. But unfortunately some people fail to live up to my expectations. Still, we live and let live.
Next book coming up!!!
A Year in Merde by Stephen Clarke. We will just have to see if this novel is as equally sexy as Kafka on Ze Shore....Wit would be a plus, after all that depressing crap from Ze Shore.

"My parents taught me to b nasty to those who r nasty to me, hey, im just defending myself.."
The day before yesterday's events are still fresh in here. Actually, it is occupying that little space I have set aside for retaining studies and the like. As the title suggests, I am actually reiterating (going all MUN) what I have heard from some sources, whose credibility is quite known to be true. Man oh man, that screwed up guy's little doting elders have really run aground of that sand bank. Let's face it. We all come from not-so-perfect families. But of course, there are those who are wise enough to release their frustration in a more civilized and constructive manner. Unlike those who give a tight slap to whoever they please. If I had my way I would go around school like an asshole prefect just because of the shit I am having here but point is, I do not. And neither should anyone. In fact, I am beginning to feel that old and oh-so-familiar feeling coming back again. Life should be exciting.
I currently have tangled with 3 'gangs' of students who wish to exert their presence as clowns of the earth and my court jesters. Reason: the very same one that got Ken Vin his oh-so-nice present...ask him, I do not wish to publicly embarrass him.
See, people such as these do not dispose of the very essential things we call eating utensils which include plates and crockery. And we prefects are given the honour to kindly request that they dispose of them at the appointed places. So basically, an essential part of the prefect workforce is being used to ask people to pick up after themselves. Which actually makes me a true slavedriver. Yes, I am given the power to ask people to pick up after their shit which their maids and whoever usually does for them at home. Perfected silence.

Finally!
It is buzzing with chatter and noise, like some kinda supermarket. Do not be surprised, this is the usual atmosphere in our school hall, Dewan Datuk Doktor Loy Hean Heong. Haha. What great discipline we seniors show to our juniors.
Nik was being scary again. Not that I am afraid of her, but see. The thing is I HATE (another hate) seeing people disappointed or annoyed (but of course, I frequently get annoyed and disappointed...and I make no attempt to hide it except in front of special people..). And she is the queen of "shut up"s and "whatever"s. The MUN meeting was nothing out of the ordinary. The usual laughs in the class AND Miss Mabil dishing out some ultimatums.
Other than that, I nearly slept in Maths. Miss Lim was teaching us like some kindergarten children, using that voice. Haha. No offence Miss Lim.

thank you! THANK YOU!!!
Finally, the goddamn school is going to be reopened! Hahah! No more boring days at home. But no more relaxing time either. The endless cycle of studying and working oh-so-hard is going to begin all over. But hey, life is like a wheel right? The ups and downs it illustrates I mean, not the rolling through shit and dirt which some people might interpret as...
Okok, I know it's boring. Just wait for tomorrow ok?
Bak Kut Teh tastes just peachy by the way. Sad for those of you who cannot experience the succulent and steamy taste it leaves on your palate. What a treat.

The reluctant messenger...haha, more like bored..
(Just playing by the rules, got bored too so I decided to do something random which was done by dunno how many millions of people before Isabell who decided to pull the cloth over my head.)
RULES:
Each player of this game starts out by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog!
(this part is not included in the rules, I felt like adding it. If you felt like it too, please do so and delete this little comment...)
Come on, do not be a spoil sport.
6 strange and crazy things John does behind all your backs...ok, maybe in front of the privileged few....hehe.
1. Ok everyone, deal with it. I am a nice guy. I always take life with a pinch of pepper. As this statement implies, I rarely hate things. Or anyone for that matter. How nice. Except, that I am not so forgiving when it comes to books. I HATE IT when people bend and spoil book spines! I mean, it's a paperback, yes, but does that give us any license to disrespect the book? So what if its thick? Bend the covers then. But do not overbend it...
2. Like some book passionate people, I love smelling the pages of a book that I have newly bought. But all in all, I like cream wove paper the best. I even took the initiative to research on the paper. See, I bought this RM80++ book on The Iliad. It was the most, I repeat, THE MOST EXPENSIVE book of poetry I have ever gotten. And, wow. Did it smell sooo good.
3. Speaking of smells and scents, there is this certain fetish I have. It makes me sound soo like a pervert. Here goes. I like smelling. Some girls really do smell good. Never really taken the trouble to smell all of them though. Hehe.
4. Believe it or not...I am an accomplished orchestra conducter. According to Mickey Mouse and gang in my room...my sister thinks its silly. Whenever Tchaikovsky is played on the laptop (by me...) I start my act. Handel is arm straining but Tchaikovsky is really full of energy. I sweat sometimes after a full blown performance. Hah. Laugh all you want.
5. Most of you probably know this. I read books as thick as It or The Stand in a week or two. The Harry Potter books took a week each. After which I suffer serious consequences. Eye strain. My eyes will water if I make use of half the day on something like The Stand. The pain and effort was sooo unforgettable. It was my easily conquerable Mount Everest. Beat that. Mingster and Wei Li think I am mad. My dear Hera thinks I am just passionate about books. How proud she made me...
6. The final one. Thank God.
Ok, this one is not embarrassing. Not so...well. Sometimes when my hands are wet, I switch off the toilet lights with my elbow. Just wanna live longer actually. Can you blame me for that? Just like can you blame that guy who got electrocuted when he tried to switch off the switch with his wet hands. What a life.
Ok, just like the Olympics, I will pass on the torch to 6 unfortunate souls.
1. Che a.k.a. MikKim
2. Lee Jia Min
3. The BERKS (you guys gonna haf to compile your little crazy stuff in separate entries...hehe)
4. Amanda Mun (you can type yours in your personal blog)
Cannot think of anyone else. That means I did not fulfill this little game. Guess that means I slacked off. Have fun passing the torch and waking up that dark and secretive part of people which lay dormant for centuries. Enjoy yourselves. Have a nice holiday. Especially to the 2 people who will be going off to America and especially to one of them who is very special to me. Hope Disney was like a dream come true.
My books are a dream come true.

2 down, 1 more to go...
Finished Hearts in Atlantis. Haha! 3 days of solid 4 hours reading can really give you deep satisfaction...and some (like me...) say eye ache. What the heck. Also finished a book about some gory histories regarding the knights and castles of old. I have the rest of the holidays to look forward to 1421.
Go ahead, take up some old book or buy a new one and get cracking.

Hearts in Atlantis Part 2
This book is such a bleeding depressing read. The low men in yellow coats really got my skin crawling. But I know that Ted Brautigan will be back in the Dark Tower Chronicles. I just know it. Read about Dark Tower and it said that it had a couple of gunslingers and some Breakers and the tak.
If you thought the Low Men in Yellow Coats was bad, you should read Hearts in Atlantis. It broke me to actually see Carol leave Peter. Well, I have not read the end of the second novella but I have a faint feeling that it will see Peter Riley get drafted into the army in the end. What a waste.

Hearts in Atlantis
This book here, my friends, is such a exceedingly good read. Ok, bleeding good read.
One of my favourite aspects of King's novels are that they are laced with cynical and twisted remarks. Ok, I am not alien to his great works and that was the main reason why I jumped up and down like a mad clown when Wei told me she had Hearts in Atlantis...here are some really stupid and laughable one liners:
Here's a situation: Bobby knew what was coming next, it was his mother's all time favourite.
"Life isn't fair."
I mean, that statement is an understatement do you not agree?
"Tempus fugit." Time flies...what the heck? See, I told you this book was full of ripshit. Haha, and I enjoy reading trash, but I also enjoy a good historical novel or something, just like a nerd. Hah.
Hey, they even had a quote from the Bible:
"For I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner. Spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence and be no more."
Now that's what I call dark stuff. Do not venture too deep, I have been there and I think its sick.
Well, they also had something on the Lord of The Flies. I read that book and I think it rocks too. but its also kinda dark...macabre. Yeah.
"So what's the story morning glory?" A little shut upper. Hah.
'She almost never swore, said that cursing and what she called "dirty talk" was the language of the ignorant.'
Ok, so I am ignorant. Sue me and the others.
"You have to eat a peck of dirt before you die."
"Two men looked out through prison bars, one saw the mud and one saw the stars." What does that mean?
'...and Bobby saw what his mother's mouth change as it always did when he ventured a question about his late father. The change made him think of a purse that she had: when you pulled on the drawstrings, the hole at the top got smaller.' Sounds like a really mean mom. She kept grudges and paid them back later by the way. Keegan, you should be well informed about what you will venture into later.
"I trust him (or her) as far as i could sling a piano." Self explainatory.
"A fool and his money are soon parted." Haha, an age old adage.
Ok, that's enough. I have a lot more to read. Haha. Have you started doing something really beneficial this hols? I know I have.

Yes! yes! more books!
Ok. I had a really sleepy day filled with fun today. Those words contradict each other but yeah, I did.
8.00-8.40 a.m.
Morning duty as a prefect is never easy. Especially when you are doing the 'latecomers' thing. Those asses can come later than 8.15. Which by then I will b cruising at full speed with my duty partner to the class. But of course, sometimes, people like Lai Tong or Mugen do not like going to classes and would rather skip it. So, I will be running like a fool to the class while they saunter back like they own the whole world.
But today, sigh. We (Tze Yen, Euu Min and I) were kept back by some smelly old clothes and a wallet containing a photostated IC and some Buncho Paints. What a crime. The female security guard called us to help in the returning of the articles. Which we felt obligated to do. Spent 20 minutes on that.
8.40 a.m.
Went to the Bio lab with some Bio books. Ran there actually. Reached and discovered that I do not have my lab report book. Ran back to class and looked for it. Some people do make discoveries everyday ranging from surprises to blatant fuck-ups (wow! The first time I used that word in my blog. This is a discovery...). This was a BFU. The book, which I discovered later in the day i.e. when I was home was at home. Wow. I deem that as a discovery. Hey, life is a learning process. As I was making my way downstairs to the freaking Bio lab, Amanda came bumbling along and dragged my sis and I back to the 4th floor. I believe I have burnt a lot of calories by then. No wonder I have a 2 pack. (nothing to show off about....)
I think it was about 8.50 by then.
We sat in then learning support room with Encik Iskhandar and Encik Johari and listened to Is talk about choosing the right SPM subjects (those in the room took extra subjects that the school does not provide tuition for...). Then he asked us at approximately 9.00 about whether we are provided adequate external outside of school tuition for our Bible Knowledge. We said a 2 second reply i.e. yes and he let us off. Talk about waiting for 10 minutes. What the heck. We missed the photo taking session for our class. What a waste.
Tortured some plants at 9.15. Went back to the lab at 9.20....how boring can this be?
Finally left the Bio lab for the cooling air conditioned classroom. Wow. And surprise surprise, Wei Li brought Hearts in Atlantis and 1421 for me! 2 new books for me to read! Yesyes! Hearts in Atlantis is by my very own personal favourite Stephen King and 1421 is something like a historical novel, so I was told. YES!
Had some smashing fun with the football in the badminton hall this afternoon. I love playing football, not watching it. Except maybe the parts where fouls are committed. That's where I get my laughing time and stitches. Loads of happy endorphins coursing through my veins. (that statement may not be biologically correct but what the heck)
Helped the Interacters to paint the school sports storeroom just for the heck of it. (Liar, he did it for his Moral project, but at least he did it with a "hati yang ikhlas" haha.)
Oh yeah, at about 4 in the afternoon, it rained. Was the event a washout? Miss Khoo! You and your weather forecaster are soooo wrong! HAHA!! Ok. But I still feel sad coz I contributed in it too....
Bottomline: I must find time to read those darn books! Heavenly.

KLMUN, aftermath
Was soo bleeding hot at the guard house while waiting for everyone to arrive at school to depart in the van and Nik's van-of-a-car. Rich.
GIS was having their International Day. Quite a little creative event where all the students gather together in different clothes and stuff like that. Anyway, I am not here to talk about the little event GIS had.
Went straight to the General Assembly Plenary hall. The hall looked something like SSG's. But it was far bigger and you could wear a blazer in there without breaking a sweat. Hah.
Ok, now I would like to ask the opinion of the public. To whoever who reads this, do you think Satanic Worship is deemed as a religion? God forbid. There was this guy who kept pointing out that "what if people deem satanic worship as a religion?" Ask me, did he get fired back at? Haha. Self explainatory.
Met Yi Ming after that I think. Hah. It was really a lame affair. The aforepredicted things to happen i.e. the high five and waving crap, it happened. Then we all had a good laugh. Wanted to meet Redzuan but did not see him. Oh well. Yi Ming had this equally cute looking friend with her, Natalie. Nice girls. Make me feel like a big brother. After all, I only have an elder sister.
All in all, the conference went sooo well.
Attend one. You will love it.

Brave New World
- O wonder!
- How many goodly creatures are there here!
- How beautious mankind is!
- O brave new world,
- That has such people in't!
Guess my first thought upon arriving....
The word "WOW" with upper casings...immaculately richly hallowedly designed for the freaking rich and famous.
Ok. Do not go into details bout the school just yet. I will start from the top. Left the house for school only to wait there for a couple of minutes for Isabell and Queen Hera. A couple of minutes were like 15? so when we left it was 9.15. And YB Nik Shazarina said we would leave at 9 SHARP...yeah..that's right.
Ken Vin came in some Mercedes C-Class....I have nothing to say. It is self explainatory.
Ok, so we were in GIS and the place was soo gigantic but we were not given the opportunity to explore...sadly. The stairs leading to the General Assembly Plenary was soo breathtaking Hera had to pause a while while walking up the stairs and Antonio was such a gentleman.
The hall was done ala- Sri Garden style...or was Sri Garden done ala-GIS style? I am confused...apparently GIS had been around since the 1980s...according to the notice boards for head prefects.
We were in some kind of prestigious new building which by our SSG English standards will most probably b called New Wing...its called the New Building by the way. So 5 starrish.
So air conditioned. Unlike our dear "new wing"...
The procedures were a die-for...I adore the present and voting crap. It is sooo formal. Which is soo me.
Today, the resolution I co-submitted i.e. the one concerning the defamation of religions. It got a wigging and...got slapped left right center. One important moral derived from this incident.
Do not, I repeat from experience, do not approve or co-sign anyone's resolution early in the game. It would only lead to your downfall later. Just bide your time and wait for lobbying. It is worth the wait.
MUN is an event you have got..GOT to experience, all of you out there. It is Model United Nerds. I AM A NERD. Hah. Beat that.
By the way, I managed to slack off and play DotA this afternoon..Tiny the StoneGolem was soo cool at lvl 17 he damaged up to 100+. If I had time to get the Divine Rapier or the other one which needed Crystals and Demon Edge, I would have killed creeps 1 hitKO. I already did that with the creep shaman.
Oh yeah, this wireless? I mean the neighbours? Do not play an online game with it. I looked so nooby when I played DotA on LAN. Got killed numerous times. Made me look damn noob.

aah!
I wuhnt maahh ssleepp.
Bleeding tired today. Still managing to type some crap here.
Cannot find some suitable cufflinks for the shirts for the conference. Not that I have any cufflinks. Thank God I have got 3 ties which match all the shirts. Fortunate me.. (I do not believe in luck...) and so if all goes well, I will be at the conference this Saturday and Sunday and meet Yi Ming on Monday. Better sleep after doing my part on the measures to improve sea, air and land travelling securities.
