i'm sick and tired of all these.
the evolving band culture here.
few years ago: full attendance used to be the norm.
now: poor attendance is the norm and full attendance is an occasion worth celebrating with champagne.
are small bands/ensembles the trend here now?
it's very tiring to go for practices with only 10 people.
we made the effort to go, but others weren't bothered.
how do you think we feel?
although i kinda enjoyed last week's lunch with half the 'band'.
i'm getting disheartened and slowly letting things go.
3 to 4 years ago, things weren't like this in any band i was involved in.
and now, there're countless. (exception probably only to most school bands)
that's why i still prefer school band life.
after being exposed to so much outside band life, although i got to learnt a lot of things, nothing still beats the fun during school band days.
there's nothing to look forward to during band practices now.
hopefully the upcoming john williams beautiful sunday with mr oura will be good.
although i already missed the first practice due to unforeseen circumstances.
i wanted to gooo! i was actually looking forward to practice. ):

may things get better before i really give up hope.
i need to get the band feel back. sigh.
i envy jap bands. ):
and there's a reason why they're so good.
sometimes i ask myself if the problem lies with me too.

yog appreciation party @ Universal Studios Singapore; 17th septembervolunteers & workforce got free admission to uss on a few assigned nights.
i'm glad mine was on a friday!
if not i don't know how i'm gonna have the mood to wake up for work next morning.
met xinyan to go together.
i only met one guy from black team and a few LOs for the whole night.
OH, i met 2 jalan besar stadium venue protocol officers!
nice, they still recognise me. (okay duh, i was at their venue every night throughout the whole of yog hahaha)
i didn't expect this super large crowd.
can't wait to take at japan's!!! (:

omg my childhood cum kindergarten cum primary school buddy.
he still can recognise me. but it was kinda awkward already cos we haven't met for so long, like years.
yen shiuh who stays at lor ah soo too! :D
las ftw! hahaha.
so i went home with him, he stays 1 stop away from me.
it was another once-in-a-lifetime chance.
cos uss doesn't open at night. lol.
18th september; japan fanatics meeting 2
this time it was held at christine's house.
and we went for prata before our meeting cos we were all famished by then.
more meetings to come!
3 1/2 days out of 11 days planned for itinerary - or rather tokyo days.
this is a BIG project for us. (a heavy investment one too)
can't wait for meetings! :D

life after yog.i had post-yog syndrome.
wah so it was post-syndrome after post-syndrome brought over from july.
no wonder i had no mood to study for main exams during the 1 week study break.
2nd sept; belated teachers' day visit back to cedar
i went back to cedar with bao! (impromptu)
it was a post-teachers' day visit.
but just nice when we went back, mrs woo and ms begam were on mc. -.-
so only got to meet han laoshi.
it was good enough, had an entertaining chat with her. (:
it brought back so much memories of our chinese lessons.
i got reminded that i cried on the express chinese results day! HAHA.
almost forgot about it until she mentioned and i forgot whether i cried.
and her slamming the board cos our class didn't do well like she expected us to.
wow those were the days.
she was still the same anyway, she and bao squabbling away is hilarious! :D
i miss chinese & our super fun lessons. ):

too old to know anyone there anyway, probably only know 1 or 2 current juniors still in the band/section.
maybe we should go back to visit teachers more often.

9th sept; tp (first) perc outing cum weida's pre-enlistment 'celebration'
bought 2 pants on sale.
no i'm not spending unnecessary money - 1 formal pants & 1 jeans which i'm gonna wear to japan to make the buy worthwhile hahaha.
percs are the best at being late.
meeting time: 5pm.
aaron and i reached at 6pm and we met joel and we (i) went shopping.
the rest reached at around 7pm. lolll.
bought movie tickets for cats & dogs.
dinnered at pasta mania.

11th september; 1st japan trip discussion! :D
after our jap lesson, cow val and i went to national library to plan our japan trip's itinerary! and we're gonna do this every week until we get it done hehe.
btw, i can't wait to change class next year.
i totally can't stand the pin-drop silence in the current class.
