i gasped at the screen and couldn't scream out. lol like drama i know!

day 5
i woke up at 1.15pm when we were told that meiden's reaching mj at 2pm. ha.
so i printed the photos for the board and our email addresses and left for school.
phew they haven't reach school yet, and according to jason they were eating lunch when i was at home or something..
when they arrived, we helped to move the instruments down to the truck.
then we had interaction! last interaction. ):
the meiden percussionists gave us presents from japan!
they bought us random toys, but i thought it was cool since you don't really get to see them around in singapore!

then we went up to the departure hall to wait for them to come.
heard that they went to night safari before that, cool :D
more like it was confirmed cos they were carrying paper bags from night safari and wearing stickers on their shirts. lol.

when they gathered in their queues, we saw ayano (matsuoka aka sha da jie) crying!
and koudai was still crying..
mr ito asked them in japanese, like who enjoyed the trip raise your hand.
we saw many (everybody's!) hands shoot up without knowing the question being asked, until mr kajiyama translated for us.

hugged them again.
walked them to the check in place.
they went in, seeing them through the glass window.
the 2 ayanos and fumiya came over.
regina (who was already crying from hugging), jiayun and i, upon seeing ayano (sha da jie) still crying, burst into tears in front of the glass window.
i figured ayano mouthing the words 'don't cry' to us. ):
the band chionged upstairs whereby we can look down into the 'ticket holders area'.
all of us were waving desperately down to them while they stand there in the middle of the whole place and wave to us.
gosh, koudai was still crying!
but he sent flying kisses to us in the end and smiled. (:
the percussionists sent us flying kisses too.
and they were all jumping up and down.
they finally went off after some time of waving and admiring. ha.
bought a drink from starbucks.
so many people took 53 home. lol.
james, nizam, jiayun, phyllis, maeliq and me.
just that mine was the furthest.
i reached home at 12.40am.
the thought of no more mata ashitas (see you tmr) just saddens me.
no more welcoming them at the foyer.
no more sending them off at the bus stop.
no more seeing them perform & percussion/band dancing so happily.
no more hand sign language from communicating with them.
no more taking photos with them.
no more seeing the percussionists busy packing their instruments.
no more MEIDEN.
at least until december.
they are such nice, friendly and warm friends to have.

i miss them as much too.

EXCHANGE WITH AICHI MEIDEN HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONIC BAND.day 1
while waiting for meiden to arrive from the airport, we moved risers to the hall.
heavy risers.. you see 3/4 of the band trying to carry one big riser. lol, rare sight!
"one band, one riser!" HAHAHAHA.
waited for them to reach mjc at the foyer.
my japan name name tag! lol but it was spelt wrongly in english though.
yes they finally came!
helped them move their instruments and stuff to the band room.
after moving, on the way to the hall for interaction,
i met my first meiden friend!!!
and coincidentally, she's from percussion, so yay! :D
she was friendly, so we started talking a bit. hoho.

hahaha we were being stalkerish.. you should be able to guess who we were stalking. xD
day 2
had to reach school at 6.45am, and i overslept and woke up at 6.15am.
cabbed to school the 2nd time for the week.
ARGH do you know how expensive it is to cab now? from usual price of $6 to $10 per trip!
anyway meiden arrived at mj soon after.
they had a short rehearsal in the hall for their morning assemby performance.
EHHH even their rehearsals are awesome please!
*we got to miss lessons for the whole day. xD
bought them green tea. the drink stall's green tea sales increased alot. lol.
but from what we observed, they didn't really like it i think. hmm..
anyway, it was our own sectionals while they had their combined.
their combined was delayed and so we watched them in the hall.
headed to white sands for lunch!
haha we thought for a long time whether to walk or take bus there..
we settled on bus cos there was little time left.
wow it doesn't look like a singapore bus now! :D
lunch was stressful. HAHA.
the food that they want to eat, and most importantly the communicating part.
and partly the money part.
anyhow, we ate and left cos we were late since we took quite a long and hard time to tell them what's the food about. hahaha.

we had combined sectionals after that.
whoo percussion spent the half an hour learning the dance steps.
then was changing time and dinner.
it was concert, 7pm.
mjcsb played on the quarterdeck and armenian dances part 1.
wow it's my 4th time performing armenian dances part 1 in 2 months?
next was meiden, moved instruments.
we had a hard time communicating about the changing instrument part before the concert. LOL omg they're so cute!

even though i don't really like to listen/play pop songs, THEIRS EXCEPTION OKAY.
i think i won't listen to any band play pop songs other than them! xD

day 3
reached school in the morning and was like a walking corpse.
had lessons.
gp was crap. what's wrong? EVERYTHING.
was looking forward to lesson end cos i received the sms during gp that meiden's coming at 12.30pm to pick their instruments up! :D
chionged to the hall to help move the instruments after a mini class meeting.
meiden haven't come yet!
yay but they arrived before i went for lesson. haha.
i was super happy to see them, even though it was only for 5 minutes or lesser.
so i went for maths extra lesson. ahhh.
went home after maths.
left house at evening again.
according to siying, she said meet at city hall at 5.15pm for dinner.
so i smsed to meet section at 6.10pm.
in the end, i reached at about 5.40pm.
and both groups reached together at 6.20pm. AHAHAHA.
ate at soupspoon.
shared the meal with val, still couldn't finish. aha.
i ate maggie mee at home like 2, 3 hours ago only..
walked to vch.
it was like tkgs, cedar and st nic's everywhere. LOL, and mj.
wah we sat at row F, so the 6th row?
it was a good seat...!
they played all the songs from thursday's concert, with additional armenian dances part 1!
omggg their armenian was, IMBA! ><><

day 4
reached school at 7.45am for clay target shooting (pe elective).
we got lost on the way to singapore shooting centre at choa chu kang.
was late for 30 minutes..
had briefing on how to handle the shotgun.
had hands-on.
the first time was..
rather scary cos the recoil had quite a bit of impact.
then we got kinda more used to the recoil.
the gun was heavy though..
i shot 0 targets. hahaha.
ahh it's a pretty good experience. (:
*although i had bruises on my right shoulder. HA!
chionged to the hall and got ready for the workshop to start.
lol it was on woodwinds and brasses warm-ups.
didn't had much to learn until sectionals.
haha mizuho was so cute teaching us the snare warm-ups! :D
yeah gotta start practising on my strokes soon..
