i shall go for the audition which i regretted missing a few weeks ago.
i feel so weird not having to stay back for band..

still have the GOLD in my head. ahaha.on the way to the courtyard for assembly, saw jessica and then discussed about standing.
at the courtyard i saw carmen and we started smiling to each other like mad then started walking to each other and discussed about our standing TOO. heh.

15o7o6 - 1st national band competition
GOLD (:
didnt have time to blog last night! cos was busy conferencing in the supermad and high conversation with 14 participants. then had to send the recordings to MANY people.
and i was chased off the com by both parent at 1am.
in the morning went to pp mac and ate breakfast with percussion. after that we went playing at the playground. =/
hope we dont get complaint. and we were arguing and suaning some 'kids'. they look like primary school kids to me, at most maybe lower sec. HAA. then we were climbing the web. and we were up there suaning them. they're so irritating and they think they very big huh. maybe regina and i dont look like sec 4s. =X
ohya, i passed greg my mp3 there and he passed me the bookmarks. lol.
then went to school. eh, only during the last day with band did we realised that it's fun to play the toms for ultimate warm-up. regina and i were playing away on the toms and we think it's fun. HAHA, it is.
ms sia came and went through the 2 songs with us. then we left for vch.
eh damn hot outside. haha. and waited and waited. FINALLY, we went into the tuning room.. i think the room's so cool! hee. i wasnt nervous at all then.
waited for our turn. i had to chiong in to tune the timpani, so i was at the front. from there, i started to became nervous. haha. even worse when i wasnt familiar with the timpani, lol. i walked in and my whole body was like shaking?? maybe more of hands. then i tuned and tuned, started playing.. under the double eagle was ok, i dont think i screwed? and yay, we ended well! (:
OHMYTUDIGONG. there was this part which was supposed to be aggressive whereby i used wrong side of the stick! i almost fainted. when i was hitting (cos i was looking at the conductor) i was like, why that side so loud ah.. then i looked, HUH WRONG SIDE. ok then i continued to play the other parts which i used correct side of the sticks.
screwed another part of the toms, played wrong tom. haha. then the other was ok i guess, was still worrying that i'll miss any tom cos of the ununusedness, but i didnt! phew.
but i still think i was rather screwy.
after our performance, many of us thought that we screwed. =/
then we went in to watch the other bands while waiting for the results which was after all the bands had performed. the sec 4s could stay. some others came to join us after they went back to school and dismissed from there. hmm..
finally, they were going to announce the results. we were the 2nd band in the division. thus after they announced sembwinds (gold too), it was like ours already?? and we only had that lil bit of time for us to become fully nervous for the results.. the whole row of us were holding hands and squeezing them tightly.
the woman announced, "cedar girls secondary school - 80.4%.. GOLD!" everybody screamed! we were screaming like nobody's business and the chungcheng and acsi people were like covering their ears (as usual). whenever we start screaming, people will cover their ears. and yes, A GOLD!!! after 10 years of silver. our long awaited gold.
i was like telling carmen and siying, "i wanna cry le.." then they were like, i also. haha and then we started crying tears of JOY!! ohman then i didnt hear the rest of the schools. after everything we cheered damn loudly. woots! although we had the least people present there, we cheered the loudest! (((:
we didnt waste our time, efforts and everything! i'm so happy.
everyone started calling other banders to tell them the good news! damn, my phone low batt. and after calling people (who didnt pick up the calls) my phone became NO batt. if not i would have called more people and smsed more people. until my bill BAO! x)
outside vch, we were still screaming away! and jumping! people looked at us as if we're really crazy. in fact, we ARE! we didnt even mind the police catching us. LOL. i think the band was really very bonded and we took photos with stamford raffles! =D

and then we went to somewhere in the open to listen to our recording. gillian had her speaker and i had the recording. lol. and guess where we sat?
we sat in a circle in the middle of the pathway, but we didnt block the whole path la.

we left at 10. and went to take mrt.
i took nel home with wanning queenie and livia. then i reached home at about 11pm, police haven start catching people yet. -.-''

the conference was damn FUN!
everybody was so high and crazy in there. and i was typing nonstop since i went online for maybe 1hour plus. x)
i just signed in and about 8 conversations popped up. LOL.

and i think we're starting to become obssessed with our own yiddish and double eagle man, just think that we're so pro! AAHHH cant stand it.

and! when i went for tuition today, my teacher used a GOLDEN ball as example. and i almost wanted to high and i think i tried to refrain from smiling (to myself). =/
AHHHH! i love cedarband man. our efforts were paid off and after so much practising, we finally had what we wanted!! a decade of being called a silver band, finally we have achieved a GOLD! i'm so proud of us. and the sec 4s had something good to end with for our band life in cedar.

ohya. early in the morning the bus driver pissed me. like wth?! take bus use coins 90cents meh?! and then worse thing is i put 55cents inside the thingy already then the driver told me and i have no more coins. so i put another 1 dollar in. in total, i paid $1.55 for a bus ride. WTH. nvm.. donation then.

bought some things to eat then there was alot of time so we decided to explore new routes to walk to vch. walked to esplanade and everywhere.
ok, at least we didnt got lost, unlike the cathigh concert, that i wont ever forget. hahaha.
and err ya, it was my first time so EARLY for a concert that we have to queue to go in. =/
yeah so we chose NICE SEATS. =P
then we were saying that 1 week later we're gonna be back at vch again..
i think circle seats are much better after we went upstairs during the intermission. i never went up to the circle before?? suaku.
and circle seats got *ahem*. XIAN WENT CRAZY! ok, i think i went a bit crazy too. =P
eh, we were so close to *ahem*.
but it's so irresistible. wait, i sound so.. BIAN TAI! =X
haha oh and greg was up there too.
err ya. saw some people whom i chat with (on msn). LOL.
and another crazy thing, xian was that close to her ou xiang who was conducting behind us. isnt it obvious who the person is? =P
tsk and she dont dare to take photo of him when he's just like 1 metre away.

anyway i think their standard dropped. greg was saying they were supposed to play the SEVENTH NIGHT OF JULY but didnt cos of the standard now. and other nice nice nice songs! wasted eh? >.<
after the concert, walked along that road and got HIGH again. you know which road i'm talking about.. the one i always walk after concerts.
ya and went to take photos beside the river. the scenery is nice.
walked to marina square.. ate supper at carls junior, the burger was enormous. yeah and then at 11plus we chionged to the mrt in case we got no bus to take home later, for carmen and maybe me. took nel home with sp.
waited for the damn bus for damn long. then my mummy scolded me for not being smart enough to change bus. @!#$%^&*(
then i reached home at around 12.15am i think. then went to sleeeep at around 1plus.. woke up at 11plus today. by the way, did i say that i wore skirt again? haha. shall post pics soon..
anyway, i going offline soon to do all the much overdued homeworks. especially chinese, i'm going to flood lao shi's mailtray on monday with all my overdued works.
seventh night of july; is a love story. LOL. (that's what timmy said as the emcee for the concert) anyway, 7th night still rocks. the song and the night. the song still rocks after my listening to it everyday since last year april i think.. x)

sorry, but no mood to blog right now.many things going through my mind now and they're making me tired.
ohyeah. just wanna say, we gotta practise harder to get gold next sat!
dont wanna be disappointed again and all.
it is possible. although most of our competitors are gold bands, but there's still hope, probability still exists.
so, ya.
i think i'll be watching the match between ger & italy later.
for fun, even though i dont really watch football..
i'm tired.
fuck the homeworks, exams, and everything.

had to reach school at 6am.
moved instruments and boarded the bus and left for jb.
reached the school and went to put our stuffs in their band room.
changed to band uniform inside, everybody just stripped together? =X
waited for 1hour plus for the sultana to come.
the place was hot. i hate the feeling of being hot now.
played the songs. we took turns to play songs.
seriously i think i screwed my parts. honestly, i kinda feel some pressure cos people were behind me? and i think before everything, moved the instruments until hands luan already. sheesh, so sucky. it's like i either forget to fill in or fill in super wrongly or something. =/
uh, and i think it was worse than any band prac. >.<
oh, recorded the songs. ask from me if you want. (:
BUT! it's damn percussionish again. cos it was recorded from the floor beside the drumset which was the percussion 'territory'. oops. that's the only place to record what.. =/
ok then we moved the instruments up the bus first.
went to change back to band t cos it was HOT!
ate at the 'canteen'?
made friends with the tun fatimah band people sitting opposite us. percussionist sitting opposite me. haha quite qiao?
took photo with them before we left. (:
send them the photo soon. we got 1 of their email addresses.
we found out that they actually stay in the school hostel and only go home when the holidays come. they have band prac everyday!
waved byebye to them on the bus.
left for shopping.
first hour of shopping = mei you shou huo.
until like after the first hour, cihui and i started looking for jeans and decided to try them after the first hour cos we were desperate. one hour and we haven't bought anything! regina silin arina and tracy went to other shops first cos they wanted to go and eat. and cihui and i were there to shop.
yeah and bought our jeans at 39rm! sale. x)
bought a same adidas shirt as xian! orangey-red and it costs 35rm! heh.
cihui bought her purple (gay!) yoga shoes. hahaha so interesting and flexible eh!
ok then dont know what to buy already.
walked around and wanted to look for presents for hannui they all but couldnt find!
then realised it's 4 already, time to go back. and supposedly we were supposed to meet 5minutes before 4.. rushed to buy my mocha frap from starbucks and then chionged back with cihui without knowing where the others were.
and we saw LOTSa band people at the dunkin' doughnuts. haha! the whole shop is like all banders. finally decided to buy doughnuts for myself. looks nice.
and then we became even later. late for like 20 minutes? =X
then headed back to singapore..
NOTHING ALREADY.
anyway. i think today our playing was rather good, maybe without my screws.
yay. i think it's not bad after listening to the recordings for SO MANY TIMES. kept replaying on my playlist.. (((:
percussion too loud from the recording.. haha. if not it could be a GOOD recording? this is considered a lousy recording. TSK.
i'm happy today! enjoy enjoy enjoy. band rocks right? xD
ok so random.. but my day could have been better if i hadnt screw so much. =/
eh, going macs for breakfast tmr! i think. with my cousin. hoho.
so sleep early, it had been a tiring day.
