NTU sucks

Damn it!!! Everything about NTU sucks. The grading system sucks. Those lecturers sucks. The people sucks. Now, even the library system sucks. Sigh.

Borrowed a book "Concepts of Programming Languages" a few weeks ago. It was due to be returned this wed. Dropped the book into the book drop bin near canteen A last fri around 8.25am. Ok, so if everything went well, the book returned would be reflected in my account on fri afternoon or what. But when I checked my email today, I received a mail dated on sat reminding me that the book was due on this wed, meaning I had not returned the book yet. Logged in to my library account to check and indeed, the book was still under my account. So weird, how could the library people be so inefficient?

Called up the library circulation department and the person on the line said that it couldn't be the case, because logically from last fri till now, they had cleared the bin 4 times already and any book in the bin should have been cleared already. But, she promised to check and to call me back. About 15 minutes later, she called back and said she found the book. It was ON THE SHELF!!! Imagine that. On the shelf, but not scanned? How careless could they get? If I didn't call them up to check? Does that mean I have to be penalised for returning the book late or worse, for the loss of the book which costs around $100 plus? What if someone else borrowed the book? Their records would have showed double counting of the book? How could that have happened to a school that was supposedly to be high class or whatever?

What does this imply? NTU obviously has a very lousy system, be it academically or administrative or whichever area you may name it. What's all the hype about raising school fees, having more autonomy? It couldn't even cope with the most simpliest matter. Why aim so high then? All these are merely bullshitting.

Watched 2 movies back to back till 230am. Kinsey - Let's Talk about Sex and Shall We Dance. Boring. Dozed off during both movies. Sigh.

Friday

Had dinner at Geylang. Fried beef hor fun, durians and rochor beancurd. Nice!

Saturday

Happy. Managed to squeeze in a pair of seldom worn levi's jeans with size 26 tag. Proud owner of a V3 bluetooth headset courtesy of dad. Yeah. Celebrated KS's birthday with JH, SJ and Cheryl. Olio cakes dessert and Hans dinner. Supper at Newton Circus.

Sunday

JB trip. Breakfast at MacDonald. Cheap but not as nice as that of Singapore's. Watched Elekra at City Square. Not bad. Bought a pair of levi's jeans. No tag. Yeah. Secret recipe cakes (Chocolate banana & baked cheese cakes) during tea time. Seafood feast for dinner. Ice blended mocha and tiramisu to kill time at night. Managed to "smuggle" in 7 pieces of pirated karaoke vcd. Happy.

Monday

Typed data entry the whole day. Just managed to finish. Finally. Sian. Might be trying out the vcds later if got time. Haven't printed out the law notes for tomorrow. Changed msn nick. NQ said I sounded like a begger? Do I? Anyway, please support my campaign. Haha.

Damn

Damn cough. It has been more than a week already and yet it still doesn't seem to go away. Western medicine had not much effect and chinese medicine did nothing to help. Why so persistent? Spoil my body system. Sigh.

Had ktv on sat. Yes, sore throat, yet could sing. Terrible voice, but had fun.

Went JB again. The food is so cheap and delicious! Had a sumptuous dinner there. A plate of sambal kang kong costed 4RM, hotplate assam sotong costed 10RM and 2 pairs of frog meat costed 20RM. The frogs were so fresh. Yummy.

It's back to school again tomorrow. Another week of school. 3rd week to be exact. Done nothing much these few weeks. FYP not yet started, some lecture notes not yet printed. Sigh. Why is school so troublesome? I want my holidays!

Back to typing my data entry again. Got to finish it as soon as possible. I want to enjoy my weekends. KTV? Yeah.

It's school again tomorrow after a so called long weekend that stretched from last thursday to today. Wow! Have to find my academic counsellor. He was away on an overseas trip last week. So good. Just hate seeing him. He always has those kind of sneering look on his face. Wish I could bash him up. Oops.

Got a new pair of levi's jeans from dad last saturday. My 5th pair of levi's jeans. Everything about it is nice, except for the disturbing tag!!! It reflects my waist (ok, not really) which gets fatter and fatter and fatter. I think I'm really fat. Sigh. Must find ways to get rid of that number. Thinner? Eraser? Liquid paper?

Sick

Sick. Fever, running nose, sore throat and cough. Skipped school today. Most probably not going school tomorrow. Yeah?

Damn school

1st day of school! It's good to see all my friends once again. Ok, not all. So sad that my 305 project mates are having their IA now, else school would be much more fun with some of them around. As usual, some of my friends have grown taller, some have grown prettier, some have started balding and some have grown thinner. Me? Well, I have grown FATTER!!! That's what TY claimed when I asked him. Oh well, it's indeed true that I'm fat. And that NQ kept reprimanding me for not exercising with her when I complained about my fatness. Sigh.

A quote from a recent friendster testimonial "You hardly see her a day without a smile on her face. I must say that her positive trait definitely give her strength in everything she does". Am I? Beyond that cheerful exterior actually hides a confused, pessimistic, fearful and hopeless inner soul. What's up with me? Think I'm going crazy very soon. Sigh.

Why must she keep asking me to do things which I don't want to do, even to the extent of using $10 to bribe me? She's going to make things worse if she ever messages that person. Things would definitely change. Yes, I know she's doing all these for us. But why must she keep emphasizing that? Perhaps nothing really happened in the first place. We are too sensitive or rather she is too sensitive? But the problem is he did not even bother to explain himself. And that damn message keeps flashing in my mind. It's haunting me.

Well, I do think things way too much. A minor problem to me might suddenly lead to a major problem. I should stop overreacting. What's happening? Something is very wrong with me. I guess I'm too stressed. I just want to escape, get out of here as soon as possible, run away from my troubles........

New year = New life?

Goodbye 2004! Hello 2005! Sigh. It's a new year again. New year, new responsibilies, new life?

Had quite a great day yesterday, minus some "discoveries" in the morning. Rather not talk about it. Damn that idiot for intending to ruin my life or rather not my life. Maybe I'm thinking too much? What does she mean by that message? Is she trying to be bold or something? She should be send back to her country as soon as possible. Her presence here creates misery to me or rather not to me. Can't be bothered with her anyway. Just sick of hearing complaints about her most of the time. Hope that things would be back to normal very soon.

Klunch with YC, SQ, BK and ZW was fun, especially taking videos of them singing. But the food was expensive and not nice. The chicken teriyaki had a strong garlic taste. Yucks! Anyway, the ktv went smoothly. Thought I would be questioned by SQ, but she didn't ask anything. So lucky. Haha.

To JB we went after that. It was rather a food hunting trip. Rotiboy, auntie anne, jumbo dog bun, sushi. The food is cheap. Tried the movie theatre for the first time. The seats are so comfortable, but the screen is too high up. Anyway, the standard of the theatres is so much better than some of that in Singapore. "The Aviator". A super long, boring movie. 3 hours! Didn't expect that. Luckily, YC and SQ drove back first as their movie "Meet the Fockers" ended earlier. Reached home about 1245am in the end.
