Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday (April 21st) Steve and I celebrated our third anniversary! I can't believe we've been married for three years, but at the same time it seems like such a short amount of time, sometimes it feels like its been longer than that... In a good way! We celebrated by going to Tucanos Brazilian Grill at the Gateway. Oh man what an experience that is! We ate ourselves silly and then kept eating! The food there was so yummy. Tucanos is a Brazilian style buffet, they have a salad bar (which is pointless) but they also do a meat rotation and have grilled pineapple and vegetables. I was adventurous and tried a chicken heart (more accurately, I was pressured by Steve and our meat server to try it!) but it actually wasn't that bad, it tasted like chicken but chewier... My recommendation if you want to go there though is go hungry and try the teriyaki beef, it's to die for! We are also leaving for Disneyland this week, which isn't technically for our anniversary, but it will be a fun way to celebrate anyway!Happy anniversary Steve! I am so glad you picked me! I love you!

Spring Cleaning

A few days ago I was thinking that I want to get my house clean before Macie starts moving around more. When I say clean, I mean like REALLY, deep down clean. If you know me, you know that my house is generally pretty decent, but if my baby is crawling around on the floor, decent is not good enough! So, I started making a list of all the stuff I wanted to do. I got a pretty good list started, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything. What did I do? Well of course, I Googled "Spring Cleaning" which led me to http://www.marthastewart.com/! Why didn't I think of that in the first place? Martha has never led me astray (well except with stock advice...). After looking over Martha's list I was pretty confident that I could get my house ship-shape in no time (it's actually taking quite a while, but I'm getting there). Anyway, a few days later I was chatting with a friend about my list and she asked me what kinds of things were on it. After telling her ten or so things, she said "This sounds intense, why don't you just email it to me?" Then I thought, I'll do one better and post it to the blog! I know you are all so excited to read my spring cleaning check list, but really if you like to have a clean house as much as I do, it's pretty good! So here it is folks, my Spring Cleaning Checklist. Before you read it let me just say, no, I am not crazy and yes I am doing everything that is on this list. I only do most of it once a year for hecks sake!

Pay it Foward

Lucky You!
The first five people to leave a comment for this post will get a present made by me! My choice. For you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1 - I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (Though I may ask some questions during the process.)
2 - What I create will be just for you.
3 - It'll be done this year (might take a little while).
4 - You have no clue what it's going to be. It might be a frame, or jewelry. I may sew you little something or make you some cards. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!

The catch? Oh yes, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and make the same offer to the first 5 people who repost this to their blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!
Good Luck!
