Sometimes joy can be measured in pounds {6 lbs, 14 oz}
and inches {18.5}
And we fell in love...
 All of us!
 Lucy is the sweetest little lady. She hardly ever cries, sleeps through the night, and brings a calm into our home that I don't know how we ever lived without.
 She is simply perfection, and I'm so grateful for the blessing it is to be her mother.
 And then there is this... I don't have any better pictures, but after we close on the 18th I'll be posting lots of pictures of us making this house our new home!

According to my iPhone...

...styling your hair like Coolio is only cute if you're a toddler.
 ... running in the sprinklers fully clothed is completely acceptable at our house.
 ...the road must have tilted to the left.
 ... wearing Papa's hat gives mom an excuse to take pictures while the men do all the work.
 ...Grandma and Papa have the funnest yard ever.
 ... free slurpee day is the BOMB!
 ... so is swimming.
 ... and eating ice cream with your cousins.
 ... It's still cool for your shoes to match your moms when you are four.
 ... it's very difficult to hold still for a picture sometimes. And keep your eyes open.
 ... your ice cream cone MUST be as big as your face.
 ... Lizzie is going to start a bed head trend.
 ... if you smile your cutest smile right when mom is about to turn off the light for bed, she lets you stay up for ten more minutes while she squishes your cheeks and tells you that you are the cutest baby ever.
 ... mom fail.
 ... corn on the cob is Macie's favorite. and we love Chili's.
 ... sisters are the best.
 ... and birthday bikes are pretty great too!
 ... you're never to young to be a UTE fan. {proud mom}
 ... eating noodles is VERY exciting. and complicated.
 ... when mom said "lets go look at the fountain" she totally meant "lets go get drenched from head to toe in the fountain", right???
 ... when napping in a motor home, you must not wear pants.
 ... sometimes you just need to go to Hawaii.
 ... and eat lots of food and take pretty pictures and remember why you fell in love.
 ... you MUST look like a rock star on the first day of preschool.
 ... you cannot leave Lizzie alone for more than 3 seconds.
 ... but, you can give her an empty box and she'll turn it into a boat.
 ... we are still trying to decide who was more excited for Macie's first Primary Program. Macie or MOM???
 ... Lizzie's feelings for the car wash are clear...
 ... and her favorite toys are laundry hampers, storage totes and empty boxes.
 ... Halloween was good to us.
 ... we only know how to make she-children.
 ... you must never forget to floss.
 ... if you are sneaky and cute mom won't get mad when you climb out of your crib.
 ... snow + children = funnest day ever!

 ... Macie likes prenatal yoga.

"Remember that time we met Santa..."

Ever since we went to meet and get pictures taken with Santa the day before Thanksgiving Macie has been talking non stop about "that time we met Santa". It's a huge relief to me because last year she was absolutely terrified and told me she thought it was scary that a man came into our house at night while we were sleeping {which is kind of true...}. So, last Christmas I decided that we weren't going to push the whole "Santa" thing on our kids, but now that Macie is more excited about it I'm having a hard time not getting into the Santa spirit. However, I was very pleased a few days ago when Macie finished "reading" Lizzie a Christmas story, she closed the book and said "but the real reason we celebrate Christmas is because that's when Jesus was born". She also said something about Jesus being born to Virginia and he came to the Earth to save us from wedgies, but that's beside the point... Anyhow, back to "that one time we met Santa", he told us his favorite cookies are chocolate chip {with EXTRA chocolate chips}, he likes his milk VERY cold, and his favorite color is... Red. Macie loved meeting Santa and was so cute when she got her pictures taken with him, Lizzie on the other hand didn't want Steve more than a foot away from her the whole time and she wasn't thrilled about sitting on Santa's lap. At least now we know one stranger she is actually cautious of! On to the pictures: Enjoy!
