Trip to Utah Update

Wow! What a great trip. The nieces, darling. The weather, perfect. The shopping, productive. I tried out the new camera and got some great shots.

Here are the Utah nieces...
Kaylee being ever so cute and helpful at the store. She loved the bunny ears. We all had to try on a pair. Kathy was so good at distracting her when it was time to put them away I don't think Kaylee even noticed.

Aubrey is also so cute. She does this thing where she scrunches up her nose, it is darling. The last night I was in Utah, I made Marne kidnap David for dinner up the canyon. This was taken while we were having pizza. Aubrey was so full of energy that night, I don't know if she got anything to eat.

I also got to spend some time with my friend Stacey in Brigham City. We went up a canyon to the little town of Eden. There is a resevoir/lake there and it was so pretty. We had dinner (apple crisp) and I took the chance to try out the landscape setting on my camera.

This is my favorite landscape photo of the trip. The clouds were beautiful that day.

Summertime as a Teacher

The fun has begun. My token professional development class (which was fabulous this year) is over. I have packed up my classroom and don't have to go back until August. I am ready to pack up my suitcase. I am about to start my summer travels plans - a.k.a. Operation Get out of the Heat.

First stop...Utah. Not the most glamorous but my two youngest nieces are there and it is cooler. I will even pack a sweatshirt for the evenings (I know I am truely a wimpy Arizonian). High 70s and low 80s during the day and high 50s and low 60s at night sound like a dream right now (a full twenty degrees cooler than our current temps). And scenes like this...
Beautiful! I can't wait!
