Disneyland!

A few of my friends and I took off last weekend for a quick trip to Disneyland.
What fun! There is nothing like five adults visiting the happiest place on the earth for a day. It was perfect ...overcast, weekday (Good Friday). We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any
ride (except Indy- 40 mins.). It seemed when we got off each ride the line was three times longer then when we got on. We had such great luck.

We went on Mr. Toad's wild ride (through He!!...thanks, Kathy) and had to stop for the photo op just outside the ride. I have a similar picture taken with Kathy from years ago. It never ceases to amuse me.
We rode Splash Mountain last, right before the fireworks show. We were able to ride it twice without having to get out of the car. Jacque and Sharon sacrificed for the front position and were soaked by the time we were done. Our cameras were buried so we didn't get a picture but I will never forget the look on Jacque's face after the wall of water engulfed her.

On Saturday we went to shopping at Disney Downtown. We had to try on the hats, of course. Then we were off to Newport beach to stick our toes in the ocean. A vacation to California never really seems complete without at least a quick trip to the beach. Overall it was a much needed, great getaway.

Three Random Thoughts

There is no real connection to these three things except that I have been thinking about all of them this weekend and thought I would share.

1. I love conference weekend. Church on TV, in your pajamas, while eating breakfast. All this an you get to feel the Spirit as well. What more could you ask for? I especially enjoyed Elder Holland's talk this time. I had never really thought about all the events of this time of year quite in that way.

2. I will be so excited on Tuesday when AIMS (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards) will be over. I love the extra planning time, but hate the stress it puts on everyone.

3. I am happy to report that in vacuuming my house this week, I only emptied the canister once I was finished. I vacuumed the whole house and it wasn't even full. Either it did a great job the first time, or I already broke it!
