FACEBOOK!

I know, I know! All of my friends warned me! If I am not going to keep up with my blog I shouldn’t even start one. But I was doing so well. That’s when IT happened. As ridiculous as it may seem, I have been officially sucked in by Facebook. I tried not to let it take over but I am not strong enough. With that said, what fun it has been to connect with old friends.

So, for those of you who aren’t on Facebook (yet), I figured that I would include the list of 25 Randon Things about Me here as my latest entry. Thus relieving the guilt I have felt on not keeping up on my blog.

Here goes…

1. I am the only person in my college bowling class (PE credit) that scored lower at the end of the semester then at the beginning. My teacher had never experienced this before and gave me an A anyway.
2. Tulips and Gerber daisies are my favorite flowers.
3. Reading aloud to my students is my favorite part of my day.
4. I love to ham things up and make people laugh, however, I can be pretty shy and don’t let others see that side of me very readily.
5. I don’t have cable and still watch too much TV.
6. I can sing the opening number to Disney’s Robin Hood at the drop of a hat. “Oo da la lee, Oo da la lee, Golly what a day!”
7. I like to be on time. I am not always, but I like to be.
8. I cried every day of kindergarten and part of first grade. Mrs. Worst was the aide in my classroom and would tell me to go wash my face and act like a big girl.
9. My first boyfriend (6th grade) dumped me because I wouldn’t join the kissing club that meet at recess. They eventually got caught and had to call their parents, in front of the principal, and tell them what they were doing. I was never so glad to not be part of a group.
10. I got a D, on a progress report, in Spanish 3 in High School. I was devastated and dropped the class at the end of the semester.
11. I have never had stitches, been in the hospital, or broken any bones (OK- the growth plate in my wrist, but I was already done growing and didn’t even get a cast).
12. I am a little OCD when it comes to bulletin boards in my classroom (my teammates make fun of me because I get out the level).
13. I love a well executed party.
14. I didn’t want to get a cell phone until I was left alone, without a phone, while visiting for my brother’s wedding and had to walk to the Hogi Yogi to use the phone. They ended up not even having a pay phone. Now I don’t know how I lived without it.
15. I hate hanging up/folding laundry and consider it a necessary evil.
16. Carol Burnett and Bill Cosby are two of my favorite comedians.
17. Hippos are my favorite animals and I have a collection of over 70 stuffed hippos in my classroom.
18. I am essentially allergic to nature, but love camping.
19. I never wanted to be a teacher but am now so glad that I am. I love it (this year).
20. The three classes I loved the most at BYU were Woodworking, Family Meal Management, and First Aid.
21. My name is Susan and I am a ribbon-aholic.
22. Back in the day, I took photography classes and knew how to develop my own film and print my pictures in a dark room. I love black and white photography.
23. I would like to visit all 50 states one day. (22 and counting)
24. Over the last year I have made journal entries in four different notebooks. Before you are too impressed you need to realize that none of the notebooks are full.
25. My ideal day would be curled up with a good book (and a good man) in front of a fire in a rustic (but not too rustic, indoor plumbing please) cabin with light rain coming down outside.
