Happy Father's Day!
Yep That's my "Big Poppy" with his little midgets. He is the best Dad ever. The kids can't get enough of him. And I can't help falling in love with him over and over as I watch him play with them. All of those who know My Big Poppy know that you can't get hm the typical Father's day gifts. A tie? No way. A tool? Has them all. New shirt? Doesn't care. So you can see my dilemma right? Well Lucky for me my Poppy has a mind of his own...I know shocking right? He found out this week that not only had Easton been asked to play on the all star team, but that he was chosen to coach it! They are beyond thrilled to say the least. So Poppy bought his little slugger a new bat for Father's Day. I guess that's how my man rolls. Never needing or wanting for himself, always making sure the kids are good first. Which kind of left me in a bind. Now that he had already spent the money what do I do? Think..think.. and then it hit me.
A candy poster of course. The kids LOVED making it for him, and LOVED eating it with him too! Happy Father's Day to my "Big Poppy!" We love you!

Double Digits Baby!
Who knew 10 looked so cute! Or so grown up?!?
Anyone who knows Kennedy knows that she is either dancing or reading. So it was only fitting that she have a "Book Party" of course! We gave the girls library inspired invitations...
Cute right? Then I had some big ideas for a super fun cake, but Kennedy thought I was crazy. So we opted for the picture cake instead.
When the girls arrived they met a very handsome librarian (Travis) who would stamp their very own library card. The girls thought he was pretty funny. The girls snacked on "book worms" and yummy treats while they decorated book bags, books, and bookmarks. The finished product was pretty impressive.
She LOVED her "Book Party!" It was so fun to watch her with all of her friends as they giggled and talked like they were 16. I am pretty sure Travis sprouted a few grey hairs as he watched his little girl grow up right in front of his eyes that day! We are so proud of her and the beautiful girl she is growing up to be.
She finished off her birthday celebration with a Birthday dinner with Grammy and Bubba aka Elder and Sister Hartman.
Happy Birthday Monkey!
