New Addition - Madeline Singer

We rescued this 1 year old beagle mix just a few days after Christmas.  We had been looking for a few weeks but hadn't found the right dog.  We were looking for a medium sized family dog and when I told the volunteer what i was looking for she pointed to Maddie.  She was sitting on a pillow in the corner while all the other dogs were running around and being crazy.  Next think I knew the leash was in my hand and Maddie had started hiding behind Andy's legs.  She was shaking and just petrified.  From that moment on we knew she was ours.  She didn't have a name, had at least 1 litter of puppies, and came from a kill shelter in Northern California.  No one really knows what her life was like but they said she was not kept indoors and had not been on a leash.

She was so scared we put a baby tshirt on her and it calmed her down.
