Maui Getaway

Andy and I snuck away for a week long trip to Maui earlier this month.  We decided this would be a great way to celebrate his birthday, my upcoming birthday, and our upcoming 7th wedding anniversary in August.  We had a blast.  The only downside is the week we spent in Maui the weather in Oregon was actually better.  Note to self...next time we go to Maui we'll go during an Oregon winter.  All in all it was a great trip.  Learned more about the island, figured out our favorite spots to go, and are closer to finding the perfect hotel/location to stay in.
Picking up our baby.  2013 Black Mustang!  LOVE

Love seeing the beautiful ocean just off the road

Valley Isle  AKA "Hurricane Hotel" because of the wind that whips through the rooms.
Beach in front of the hotel

11th floor view.  Our screen door almost flew off the balcony.  I'm not kidding when I said it was windy.
Clouds like this rolled in every afternoon

We love shave ice.  Yeah you can get these everywhere, but there is one place that is hands down better than anything else in the world.  really.

Best snorkeling was at Honolu'a bay.  We went back multiple days.
We found turtles back in that second cove before you go out to sea.  So sweet!

Still more honolu'a bay

This day was nice until the wind blew over one of those lounge chairs across from us.  Still not joking.  I was afraid to relax and lived in fear of a head injury from flying pool furniture.

Almost time to go home.

4th of July in Seaside

For the second year in a row we spent the 4th of July in Seaside.  It's such a fun place to be for the holiday.  Everyone is decked out in red, white, and blue and there is a great parade that comes through town.  The girls love it (because there is candy) and we love it too (because there is candy!).  At night the firework displays are awesome too!  This year Andy and I were going to Maui the next morning so we didn't stay for fireworks but the girls stayed down and enjoyed themselves for a few more days with Grammy Linda. Then they went to Eugene to spend time at Grammy Bobbi's house while we were still in Maui.  Such a fun week with all their best Grammy's!
