oh wow.

Nothing much to update. here's a pic of me during raya.

and i'm off to campus for the new semester tomorrow. soooooooooo not looking forward to it.  *sigh*
it's not a secret that i don't like going back there every single time the new semester starts. the place just doesn't give me much joy.

cooking 101

okay. so i admit im not one of those girls who like to  cook. i dont even like preparing myself anything for that matter.. (im talking about big things here, the gempak dishes, not those frozen ones). also, that explains why i dont know how to cook. and my mom doesnt force me to go to the kitchen and cook up a storm too. well, considering that shes also one of those moms who dont cook by daily basis. rarely. only on occasions like the fasting month or raya only she would cook. so that explains further on why i look forward to when my mom is cooking. i dont complain since most of my childhood she has cooked, so now i'll just let her chill haha.
but the reason for my entry today is that.. after raya she'll be taking a trip to a neighbouring country for a few days and so my sister and i will be left alone at the house. considering that my sister will be working, im gonna get starved to death because there wont be cars around. one of the few days back, i was thinking about this and then suddenly i thought, hey why not cook? i could cook. well, maybe simple ones. and so i asked the mom to teach me how to cook some meals later so that i can prepare them by myself. all these starting with nasi goreng. HAHA. well, yeah. laugh all you want i dont give a damn. but yeah i only learnt how to make nasi goreng HER style just now. just an hour ago. hahahaha. so yeah, i have one recipe up my sleeves now.

Ah such bliss.

After a few weeks of suffering from a bad case of mouth ulcers from which i couldn't talk or eat solids.. thank god finally today i could feed myself some rice and bbq chicken. the ulcers are healing fast - thanks to the antibiotics and painkillers supply. Just imagine, having to watch your family eat your favourite food or be at your favourite restaurants but YOU COULDN'T EAT ANYTHING FROM THERE is just hell man. 


Anyway, the Ramadhan month is coming to an end... and Raya is nearing. YEAY! i've already bought the baju and some retro-ish earrings.. couldn't find any suitable heels though. well gotta find them fast before my size is gone! 


Oh yeah, just wanted to share this little story - i went to the doc last week for the ulcer treatment and he was a bit surprised to see how bad they were at the time and he told me that he wasn't sure what triggered them but i should stay away from spicy food. ... well, IM NOT REALLY A BIG FAN OF SPICY FOOD anyway.  


So! yesterday i decided to look up articles concerning mouth ulcers and surprise, surprise, they did mention something about excessive caffeine intake which could lead to having ulcers. 


Well now, i think we've found our main culprit here.  CAFFEINE ADDICT HERE. Guilty!
So after the breaking of fast today, i finally managed to get my first cuppa after a few weeks of restraining myself. and that was like, poison to junkies.   *bliss*

Okay, so i was browsing through my lappie out of complete boredom this morning when i came across some of my favourite movies that i havent seen ever since i came home for the holidays.. lemme tell you, these movies are BEYOND awesome!! they are magnificent! but some of them i dont have anymore so....oh well, i'll just recommend to you as well.. all these movies are cool, that is if you fulfill these criteria:

• you LOVE the old school - anything about it like the music, the fashion, the style, the way kids behave during that era
• you love MUSIC, particularly the ROCK music
• you dont mind high school flicks.... okay maybe not all are based on the life of high schoolers....but still.

okay so i present you my Top 10 favourite movies:

10. Ferris Bueller's Day Off

see how a typical high school guy plans his 'day off' with his friends. its hilarious!

9. Rock n Roll High School

it featured The Ramones, need i say more? and just look at the soundtracks of the movie!

8. Top Gun

i dont care what you guys think but i love the guy! and every guy in a uniform THAT hot with aviators on will just get the nod from me dah-ling.  XD

*but seriously, i love military or naval films

7. Cry-baby

well, who wouldve say no to johnny depp??  although this was produced in 1990, but it portrayed the setting in 1950s.

6. Grease

who could forget Danny's sleek dance moves? ITS ELECTRIFYING!! if you havent watched this movie in your life yet, well, YOU BETTER!! it'll not let you down i swear. yes, although it has a sequel to it, the first one is always better.

5. Pretty in Pink

this has been considered as one of the best 80s teen movies of all time. another one of molly ringwald's great performances as a high school outcast who fell in love with the rich kid, blablabla.. you get the idea. but its cool, i love the fashion, the dialogues (they are witty, especially from ducky her guy best friend!)

4.  St Elmo's Fire

this is also one of the most renowned movies in the 80s. it has every element ever in the movie - love triangle, conflict between friends, troubled life, denial, betrayal.......... its just a perfect movie to see with a whole bunch of friends... girls that is.

3. The Graduate

no one would ever forget the image of this rescue scene. it has also been recaptured in so many spoof films. dustin hoffman at his best here, playing the confused recently graduated from college Benjamin Braddock, who is having an affair with the wife of his father's business partner, and after a while falls for the daughter too. but how will he prove to her that the love is true and get away from the grip of the cunning Mrs Robinson. also, for you 60s fan, ALL of the soundtracks are from Simon & Garfunkel. how cool is that?

2. The Breakfast Club

every kid who have watched this movie will no doubt agree with me that this is THE ULTIMATE 80s teen movie. five kids are stuck together in a room on a Saturday for their detention, five different kids with different backgrounds, different attitudes and different reasons on why they are there. see how they finally learn to know that each of them is not what it seems from the outside. very awesome movie.

and finally..........................   *drumroll*

1. Breakfast at Tiffany's

one of the best 60s movies, and with Hepburn already an icon, her fashion in this movie is what made little black dress, string of pearls, and big shades famous in the fashion industry. this movie is no doubt the best classic movies of all time.

Although he's a 47-year-old guy now and old enough to be my dad or whatever.. well, I DON'T CARE. I just love his music - whether back when he was with Guns n' Roses, in Velvet Revolver or now, Loaded. he just rocks man.. and not just by being a bassist. he could play other instrument like drums, and yeah he sings too. you have no idea how his music helps me sometimes to get through the days when i feel like no one is there. and yeah, he's fuckin hot. so your argument is invalid. bye.

The 411 of The Royal Wedding

Yesterday the royal couple got married at the Westminster Abbey (Friday, 29 Apr 2011) and as i couldnt watched it live from tv, i had to watch it on live streaming (even though it was a few minutes late haha). Ouhh teringat kembali zaman dulu2 when i was younger i had this HUGE crush on him hehehe. And i love his mother so much because i thought she was different from the other princesses. indeed she was. its a shame she couldnt be there for will's wedding.

As Will wanted to embody everything that could link to his mum, the late Diana, in his wedding to Catherine Middleton, every little detail was reminded of her - from the sapphire and diamond ring that used to be Diana's engagement ring, to the staple of Sweet William dotted with Lily of the Valley that Kate held on during her Procession, to the place (Westminster Abbey) that used to be her memorial service's place, the Bishop of London who spoke in her memorial, to the hymn that was used to conclude her memorial and funeral services, to the vows that Kate spoke resembling to that of Diana's, omitting the 'obey' word, up to the choice of photographer that took Will&Kate's engagement photo, was the same one who took Charles&Diana's. 

HRH William was quoted as saying, “Obviously she's not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all -- this was my way of keeping her close to it all." 

Known to be very close to their mother when she was alive, it was not really surprising that the Duke of Cambridge, as granted by his grandmother, The Queen, as an early wedding gift to the couple (Kate will be known as the Duchess of Cambridge) had insisted on leaving an EMPTY seat for Diana. This shows how much the boys are very much missing their mother, and what a touching gesture that was.

i dun get why some people can be unsupportive at times.. i mean they should be your pillar of strength but instead they are like this...
i know im not the best of student whom you could ask EVERYTHING,
and im not the best of girl whom you could ask ANYTHING
but then you should know by now that:

i am forgetful. most of the times things tend to disappear from my mind. not my fault. so dun get riled up when i ask questions, coz when i do, that just means i forgot about them. doesnt hurt to tell again.
i am cranky. if people get on my nerves, like when i ask questions, n people find it lame, or that i already should know the questions, and so they feel like they dun need to answer them.
newsflash: if i knew the answer i wouldnt be asking them, would i?
i need support. even if i suck on things, you really shouldnt put me down. at least say something encouraging after that, just to not make me feel shitty.
ouhh and friends tell friends things. if you feel like i shouldnt know about it, then dun discuss about it when im around. how would you feel if you were in my place? left out right?

this is just an expression of what i feel... not related to any persons whomever in any stories whatsoever.

being guys, i know they like and prefer to feast their eyes on beautiful things..or persons. so being girls, cute fragile creatures they are would definitely be the object of these eyes. i dun really care about that...coz i get along with a few guys whom i could call my friends since back in diploma..and i know being natural pranksters they are, of course we would always get teased at..n believe me, i ALWAYS get teased at by them.. even my babes pon. never mind that. okayy this doesn't really relate to what im gonna say here.... ahh damn! okayy2 straight to the point. sometimes i feel like, maybe i just seemed too safe to others.. i mean, like im deemed as harmless to them.. so thats why they dont feel the anticipation of being nervous or anxious towards me. what i really3 mean is, i know im not some hotshot babe or whatever and i know i cant really compare to some of my friends in this department.. and i KNOW i shouldnt have felt this way... but i do. and it kinda gets to my issue of self-esteem. dun bull me by saying "ah its nothing. not that she's THAT cute pon..." i mean, of course she has the looks. if not the guy wont have his eyes glued on her.

Lie To Me

i luv watching this series.... especially on how the lead character notices and quickly identifies when people are lying directly to his face. this is awesome! i mean, he takes into account every single detail on how people lie.. not the ones that we already know of. one word - superb.

mid-term break

my mom n i went to Amcorp yesterday to find some books, and that book store was having many bargain corners with books from rm5 ! imagine that! and so my mom decided to buy this crossword puzzle books to keep her entertained, she could finish it in just a short time! *jeles

when i tried to do one, i couldnt outdo her time ciss! so i tried doing it over and over again hahahaa. kesimpulannya, my holidays are filled with doing crossword puzzles!  XD

Random Thoughts

i have been experiencing miserable moments more than joyous ones lately due to some reasons..hence causing my spirit to be a bit subdued every now and then..plus all that assignments didnt help either.. but im thankful to say that ive a round of close friends whom i can be with to flip my mood up again..even though most of the times i couldnt tell them what actually happened or how i actually felt in words, but just by being with them i feel secured again.. their presence affects me more than the problem itself coz i couldnt stay silent for more than half an hour if they were around..they are like my pillars of strength..i know sometimes i could be a bit mengada2, or maybe a bit too blur, or even childish, or worse, selfish...i know at times i do things that i dont give much thought about..im also aware that sometimes i hurt a few hearts unintentionally coz of that reason..but dear friends.....i really love u guys and i do try to be someone u could call a friend....   please dont leave me. im not strong enough without my pillars....    :(

Eca's Surprise Birthday Party

It was Tuesday 18th of January and come night at the stroke of midnite, it was gonna be Eca's birthday, recognizing her 23 years of living. (haha drama jap) We all had planned a few days prior to her birthday on what we all gonna do to her since...well, since its HER and so the surprise must be CRAZY! During the whole day on that day we all agreed to ignore her.....whether she whined or sought attention, all actions must be ignored! well...except when me n una pitied her and followed her request to have lunch at Rebung. 
(i dunno why she likes to eat there... tadelaa sedap mane pon n agak mahal sket compared to Redone)

Getting back to Eca..well just after the lunch we all agreed to look around for the party gears and the cake at Balloon Buzz in Section 9. thank god that morning she skipped the first class so she came to the next class using her friend's motorbike, hence she wont be going back home alongside us. we bought  quite a few items : a feathered mask, some spray string cans, a pack of water balloons, and a pack of magic candles (the only thing "magical" about them was that when we blow the light, after 60 seconds it will relight again. they are bunga api-like dats y laa camtu) the next on to-do list was to buy a cake for her so we scoured at The Baker's Cottage and found a three-layer cake which cost around rm42 or 45 i dun remember. after buying all the things, i asked maddy to store the cake at her house first coz my fridge is unusable. 

The plan was for us to wait until 12-ish and then maddy will call her, telling her she just got into accident near the dataran shah alam and she couldnt contact me and ramen, so then maddy will ask eca to call ramen to return maddy the call. the original plan was for me to follow men and pick eca up but we all decided that i should not follow coz i know i'll be laughing once i saw eca's face. hahahaa. so the best bet was for ramen to go alone. the alasan given for ramen to tag eca along was that shes scared to go there alone hahhahaha.

while waiting for ramen to arrive at dataran, all of us (me, una, iza, and shahid) set up the place and put up all the things. mane nak sangke ramen akan sesat, lilin pon da buat cake tu melt haish. here was the original condition of the cake before most of the candles were put away and the written wish on top wasnt affected yet >>

Just as she arrived, maddy surprised her... well tade laa surprised mane pon since she knew we would do something for her (cehh) and asked her to put on the mask we bought her. there was a few other people sitting around dataran too so when eca was asked to find our spot with her eyes closed and mask on, some of the guys there teased her saying "macam ultraman da" and "haa cari cari" hahahaha. 

when she was almost at our hiding place, we prepared to bomb her with the spray strings and water balloons. sian, mmg kene kaw2 laa die mase die sampai. from top to toe she was hit by those party stuff.... she kinda reminded me of hantu kak limah. hahhahaha.

after that, we moved on to the game of 'Snaps' and 'Truth or Dare' by the roadside. hehehe. 

i guess this was the highlight of the night when eca was asked to complete her dare :

to go sit on the car's bonnet and laugh out loud a few times
