and there is also HEARTS UNITED...

Cell's changed to Thursday this week cos...All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before you O Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaim
The joy and the pain, I'm making them yours
Chorus:
Lord I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer You my life
Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hopes, all of my plans
My heart and my hands are lifted to You.
Luv,
danLo

"My grace is sufficient for you, just to give you an idea of how multicultural my housemates are, in this picture, there is a german, an american, an english, a welsh, a dutch, a palestinian and two norwegians. i was the photographer. hehe.
When i first arrived at the college, i was just so awestruck because it is so pretty here. Honestly, this is as pretty a school can get. There’s this really old castle here where we eat, have activites and even have some of our classes.Sometimes, when i walk into the castle, i still find it hard to believe that i am studying in a castle and it just seems so surreal. And its just not any castle, its so rich in history and it is also rated as the most haunted castle in Wales! (By the way, i just came back with a bunch of first years from exploring the castle at night. It was really scary. There are so many dark staircases leading to so many places, like secret passages!)
thats me with my argentinian housemate. we hiked in the forest quite a bit to get up to that watch tower. you can see an aerial view of the castle in the background..
Not only that, we have an awesome garden, an amazing seaview, and a huge forest by the cliff. There’s even a sheep and cow farm in campus!
the dandelions here are humongous and i love it!
My room is really quite basic though. I have a really small cupboard, a drawer and just a bed. And the worst thing is, the showers are COMMUNAL. So that means that i have to bathe naked in front of all the girls everyday! Im really not used to it yet! Still very shy...heheh. but i will get used to it sooner or later cause im going to be in this college for two whole years! Food here is not that great too. Sometimes its really tasteless, but sometimes its really yummy. They try to make some asian/foreign food so that the students feel more at home, but theyre really hopeless in doing those. In these aspects, it makes me miss home a lot. Im still not used to sharing my room with 3 other people, and im also not used to not having my family around me. But i have really been so busy since i got here, so i guess that helped me adapt more, and not think about homey stuff.
the super basic room.
I have not started studying yet because so far i only had orientations which goes on for two weeks. But it has really been interesting because i got to try out so many activities too. Ive done rock climbing, sat on lifeboats and i even drove them, archery etc.! And i will be having a camp soon and there, i will be learning how to surf and also doing water activities like coaststeering. I really cant wait. It is quite cold here but its bearable. One thing that i really like about this school is how they treat the services you choose to do as important as your academics (i only study from 8am-1pm on weekdays!) I will soon have to choose a particular service where i will spend a minimum of 2 hours, twice a week on it. I can only choose one and so far, ive been thinking of doing either social services or lifeguards. I want to do social services because i think its really fulfilling but i also want to do lifeguards because i get to learn how to surf and i want the exercise so i wont grow fat here. Haha. There are also so many activities that im thinking of joining and there are a lot of opportunities to get involved in noble causes here.
On a lighter side, people here are really friendly. I think its especially so because most of the first years do not know anyone when they first came and they make an effort to make friends with other ppl.
malaysian, mauritian, scottish and hongkee.
I have not attended any church services here, but ive found people who told me that there is a church in the nearest city, which is a FORTY FIVE minute walk away! But i was told that a few families volunteer to fetch the college student every week. Very near to my castle though, is the oldest church in wales, because the family that used to reside in the castle was one of the first christians in wales, so they built a church there. The cemetery there is so scary and old too! But im not planning to attend tht church because its catholic. There is also a christian fellowship here which meets once a week if im not mistaken, but i will only start all these when the orientations are all over.
I really have been enjoying since i got here and i think this will be a very interesting place to study for the next two years of my life. But to be realistic, i still feel a little homesick and im not used to quite a lot of things yet.
Well, i guess thats all i have to say so far about the one week that i have been here so far. Ill be coming back in december which isnt that far off so ill see you guys then! Till december, take care and God bless!
