Riding Lessons
Aspen LOVES horses!
We are not quite sure where this passion came from (maybe you Aunt Kelty?),
but it's real and unique to our curly sue.
As a birthday gift Auntie Y. gave Aspen two private riding lessons.
She has completed one lesson so far and I believe the look on her face says it all!
She was able to help get the horse ready to ride and
then brush and unsaddle him afterwards as well.
She cannot wait for round two!

Halloween 2015
Carving pumpkins.
There is always a tear or two shed, but for the most part it was a happy carving night.
Avery insisted on saving all of the pumpkin seeds and did a
great job roasting them.
The girls worked to pull each of their Harry Potter Costumes
together, gathering bits and pieces from friends, neighbors and Amazon.
Reese on the other hand decided to wear her pink giraffe costume from the dress-up bin.
Cody, once again, deserves some kind of "Awesome Dad" award for going along with what the girls insisted he dress up as (The Wizard from Harry Potter)
because he really does not like to dress up...but their wish was his command.
The girls were able to keep a jar full of their favorite candies
and we donated the rest to the soldiers.
The end.

Tolly & Juliet
Every other Monday Reese gets to play with Tolly and Juliet,
her two best friends from preschool last year.
These three friends are quite the trio and rarely if ever have a squabble...
which is highly unusual for three 3 year old girls.
Last year Reese begged me 3252435 times to have a playdate with them
before I actually contacted their moms to make it happen.
Well, the friendship stuck and these girls adore each other.
The day I took this picture Juliet was sick, so it was just Tolly and Reese.
What a joy it was to trail behind these girls and
listen to their conversation for a good 30 minutes.
These are the days I cherish.

Stephanie's Shower
Stephanie is one of my new friends from the Dublin Ward.
She is the most joyful/happy person ever...
even in her ninth month of pregnancy with her fourth child!
She most certainly deserved a lovely surprise shower luncheon...
so that is just what Kim and I made happen.
Along with about twenty of her closest friends,
we orchestrated a little event to honor this special friend and mother.

Babysitting Brinley
Brinley has become quite the babysitter.
She is dependable, capable and confident
in her ability to care for kiddos.
She babysits families of all sizes and ages.
She cooks and cleans and plays and multi-tasks.
Come to think of it, she reminds me of someone else who was just like her at that age.
