Teacher's Day

07S18 made a combined effort to share a class present for our 4 main tutors this year. $100 spent, sarah & jingwen did the shopping.

fat adorable tigger for Ms Sim and a bugs bunny balloon for Mr Lee, after his fascination over the life-sized elmo balloon during econs lecture the day before. LOL.

candies & earrings for Ms Kotwani which she opened up during GP

and guess what we got Mr Yuen!
......

a couple pom-pom bath balls for Mr & Mrs Yuen

and a nose and sideburn shaver! omg so funny lar.

we couldn't stop fiddling with the balloon during PE.
mr khoo's still away in vietnam, woohoo~

handmade cards

made our way to find the teachers in the staffroom after lecture but no luck for us; none of the teachers were there. ended up getting Mr Nah to put the presents on their tables.

belgium praline chocolates for the culinary teachers

-teacher's day celebration in school

PONNING DAY for most people, but i had to come for the sake of the tea-reception. culinary club made a collaboration with the 30th student council to set up a booth at the reception... D-I-Y Rojak was my idea (: but it kinda seemed like a wrong choice.

there were sooo many things to prepare and see to!

ingredients for 150 portions of rojak is seriously like madness and it was so tough to split the load. on my part i got the plates, satay sticks, peanuts, chilli.. and the worse: 60 Youtiaos. i can never forget how paiseh it was to make such a shocking order at Vivocity's food republic, then lug those oily heavy bags of dough fritters up to board the train home.

three fat bags of fresh youtiaos.

anyways.

attendace was as pathetic as expected and the ACES dance was lame. only our animal family & krist appeared and since huiling had to prepare for the concert, it was only goat cow krist & me left -danced with a wee bit of enthusiasim- cause mr randy gill was beside us and the principal stood right behind. crap.

krist the toottoot

skipped the concert, no choice. preparation for the booth was clearly NOT smooth-sailing at all and this whole project revealed all the irresponsible members i have... had all sorts of excuse-makers, empty promisers and potential pinners who kinda pissed me off. so once again the workload fell on the four sole contributors;

stella, jeannette, huiming & me

and just when the lack of time and manpower was bad enough, the oven-toaster had to spoil at the last minute! thankfully we had the oven to save the day.

my booth!

tossers

final product (:

thats sean chi from SC trying out.

pretty cupcakes for the teachers. i so wanted to kope one.

okay, what an eventful event that made me felt so shagged. seriously seriously shagged. clearing up was another boo.
-left the school at 12.35 PM

Rat-a-too-eeeee

then it was off to meet sarah & seow shilin for lunch!

we squeezed all the juices in our brains to think of where to eat okay lame but eventually ended up in Marina Square.

Changing Appetites for that cheap set lunch

my dining mates for the day

subs in pans.

mini chocolate fondue

i feel so cheated lar! when we came in we were told that the dessert was some cake -which i did see others eating- but ours became this pathetic thing.

aiya, sarah still loved it anyways

Ratatouille
pronnounced rat-a-too-ee
from the creators of Finding Nemo & The Incredibles

omg i so loved it!
i loved the settings, the plot, the characters, the message and simply the whole feeling the show brings out. it just manages to touch my heart.

Remy, awfully cute!

i'm really inspired by this young rat's rather atypical affinity toward fine cuisine and how he braved all odds and barriers with his family to cooperrate with Linguini to work towards his dreams. With help from the spirit of his idol, Chef Auguste Gusteau, he started his culinary journey and finally impressed the food critic Ego over with a simple Ratatouille- a french dish of sauteed mediterranean vegetables baked with fennel, basil, and thyme. he got the fame but most importantly.. he had proven Gusteau's belief that...

everyone can cook.

Linguini

this is probably one of the best animation movies ever;
everyone please go watch it!

met so many tkgians today!

JESSICA TAN SHI YUN, with brina & beatrice (:

HO MING FANG, drastically changed. we were ALL shocked.

ZHUANG KEYI. mei ren yu!

lotsa hugging and all, i missed you all so much!

Seafood Galore

dear and i had a fulfilling meal, heavily subsidised by him.

it was a great czechar feast at Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood, along Casuarina road. the way we eat ought to be saluted; it was super paiseh to see people around us only having 2-3 dishes while we walloped 5! haha.

YES, 4 dishes, 4 mantous, 2 bowls of rice & 3 drinks.

presenting the chilli crab... was it indonesian or srilankan? i can't remember x)

i've never seen such thick gravy for crabs before! i bet they must have thrown in plenty of eggs. abit too sweetish though, and lacked the spicy kick... oh yea and my fried buns.
i know this is super act cute but i dont care

juicy pincher meat, shiok.

my treat to mr bean's soya softserve; i'm never too full for this. its probably the least sweet icecreams you can get... healthy! (:

Hectic Day

i have no idea how to describe my day.

stressing, worrying or hectic? 2 tests in a day is a major problem for me. 3 big chapters of physics, and i went for the paper half-stranger to Superposition. damn. then econs wasn't any better.. we took in it the hall this time and i swear that atmosphere was 99% similar to that of the Olevels.

haha and of course i wrote crap about the Pharmaceutical Industry.

after that i rushed off to get dinner for the family, going all over potong pasir and kovan with bags weighing a ton- on the verge of breaking somemore. felt so like an auntie. anyways, its a yoshinoya takeaway for me (:

daddy left for Paris yesterday! omg i so wanna just pack up and join him there. apparently he was upgraded to SIA's first class and he sent us an MMS boasting of the personal tv screen at his seat. okay yes, i'm green with envy. ahhh, PARIS.

that's not all.

i still have Physics SPA exam tmr!
-wish me luck and watch me die.

Day with the Family

any one tried Spinelli's strawberry cheese tart?

its a wonderful wonder i discovered while waiting for mum & sis to do their shopping. i swear this is one delectable dessert i can never be sick of... its sweet thick cheese with a light appetising taste (think yogurt!) on a soft moist tart pastry, topped with fresh strawberries and sometimes a blueberry or two with wobbly jello glaze... give me more! it was so good that almost every table had one slice of this when i stepped in. serious.

today was a whole day out as a family of four. budget lunch; yong tau foo-wanton mee-deepfried vegetarian foods at Tiong Bahru then a more fulfilling dinner.

Ichiban Boshi @ the Esplanade Mall

new menu, plenty of food & 4 loyalty stamps earned! its been long since we last visited and we miss the food so we ended up spending $80++.

still one of my favs is the unagi crepe sushi (:

HAHA.

turn left turn right.

everything went well.. bought ankle socks, a small pouch and a new comb from Marina square's Minitoons. WARNING: minitoon's combs are the most fragile ever. they keep breaking off and i've already made my 4th replacement within two months!

before heading home we did some NTUC grocery shopping to get all of mum's seventh-month necessities, while i stocked up on my HL Milk and chipsmore snowy white.

then it had to happen. sis & mum quarrelled once we came home. aiyo.
