A Very Late Christmas Update

Merry belated Christmas!

Spent my christmas in Shenzhen but i ensured some pre-celebrations in singapore before i left.... especially when our sunny island is adorned with such dazzling blue lights this season!

The most majestic buffet i've had...

Spread was not mind-blowing but the food aspect was at its finest. freshness and quality guranteed.

The desserts say it all...

delightfully festive-suiting.

there were live barbequeing stations, turkey and meats cut on-the-spot... and we gladly piled up plates of cold lobsters, crabs and salmon. lovely.

Festive dinner at Sentosa Golf Club.

after a super-sinful icecream fix at Ice Kimo and Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, my boy drove me down to Sentosa. it was raining but nothing can spoil our mood for il Lido!

so here we go.

a movie cum Balcony Bar dinner date with bestie xinya, followed by our lightup phototaking!

i totally adored Alvin & the Chipmunks,especially that chubby sweetheart Theodore. sooo super cute.

and i seriously have a fetish for chipmunks. uh oh.

we obviously weren't the only ones fascinated by the lights; a whole load of real tourists were snapping away too. and we happily got them to take the photos for us, how wrong. haha.


pretty, dazzling, mesmerizing. you may not agree but i think this year's lightup is one of the best ones so far.

Rotting

i'm rotting in the Shenzhen hotel room now.

dad's at work so i had lunch alone at the hotel's cafe. executive lunch buffet with a main, salad & dessert bar. SO FULL. breakfast buffet by myself too, fun.

oh man. these few days was uber fun!

plenty of gorging, shopping then gorging and sleeping. haha.

now i know why people say hong kong is a paradise.

I MISS HONGKONG! boo.

and i've sure gained pounds.

Filling Meal

Am feeling so full after a Sizzler buffet with my parents so i decided blog and digest. haha okay no link.

mum & dad have became like super small eaters today and i ended being the only one making several rounds thru the buffet spread. mushroom soup, garlic bread, main course with butter rice, salads, more salads, fruits, agar agar, icecream sundae & more icecream!

*satisfied

and then i found out;
mummy had two sizzler meals today. MADNESS.

Monday 10th December
holland V trip with sammie- on a rainy day

pigged out at Essential Brew, got our sugar fix at Cold Rock and walked through all those taitai-established shops.



can you believe we had 2 set meals & added a 4-6pax portion of appetiser+dessert combo?!! haha BIG eaters.

Suey

lets bring sueyness into the topic.
cause i just had an horribly suey day. and i hate this rainy season.

dad & i planned to cycle so we drove to ecp this morning. along the way it started to drizzle but he insisted to carry on, predicting the black clouds are gonna get blown away & the rain will stop soon.

okay so he got his bike whilst i decided to take a jog instead. 0900 we set off towards different ends. 0924 i reached the end of east coast (yippee!) but as i was turning back... the sickening downpour struck.

skipped the first pavillion cause there was a wandering man sleeping there alone and the second pavillion was so darn far away! so obviously i was soaking wet, drenched from head to toe when i reached it.

freak.

0955 the rain never got lighter so dad drove over to pick me. & i got wet once again cause he had no umbrella.

thats not all.

we wanted a macha chiffon cake dessert at tampopo but someone else too the last pathetic slice a second before us.

lugged a bag of heavy books all the way to NLB but the bookdrops were under some stupid maintainence so i couldn't return them.

mum suggested to have ala carte dinner at the club although we will be clashing with their penang fair buffet. wanted to have an order of penang ban chang kueh but due to their idiotic cropped-up system they were unable to get it for us.

the day ended with dad & mum both getting angry with some stuffs & everyone returning home with black faces.

now you call this suey or what.

Another Saturday

i had a great shock this afternoon at HMV when i saw a black notice. i almost made a loud shriek in public. almost.

cause i did a silent one.

omg 5566 is back in action~!!! like after such a long disappearance they still decided to made a comeback afterall. but crap i notice renfu seemed to have grown horizontally.

& while i was browsing through the shop, dad quietly went to buy the Ratatouille VCD and pre-ordered the 5566 album for me.

today was yet another weekend. we had crepes for lunch, afterwhich mummy went to get her hairdye at Kimage (in preparation for her company's D&D in the night) while i had tea with dad. another pleasant surprise, my favourite Canele just opened a branch at Raffles City!

pecan tart yesterday with tahitian vanilla icecream (from the renowned Raffles Creamery!). generously filled with an abundance of crunchy pecans nuts.

good desserts, good service.
we like this place and now the waiters know us too. haha.

i had this really unique dessert called Kushiyaki. its actually grilled vanilla icecream with a foamy layer and charred surface, how special is that.
