Wednesday, 5 June 2013 Well, i do not quite know why I'm still here after so long. Intially wanted to post or start a new blog in regards to iPhone tweaks which I myself prefer and like. But that thought got killed almost immediately after I came to this page. Oh well, so be it. Recently years have been amazing, tiring, fruitful, happy and much more. While i was driving home today, i went by to my own future home with Min. It has already complete the 14th storey and going for the last level. I guess it won't be long till i'll be inside starting a new life with my Min. We have made our hotel choice for our big day. It will be at Holiday Inn (Orchard), I must say, its not easy to choose a right one, but nevertheless we did it eventually. So there will be ample time for us to get back into shape before we get ourselves some photoshoot next year. Things are gonna get better for sure! See you when i see you! But the weird thing is that when i try to recollect any memory from it, i can't. Maybe age is really catching up on me. And yes, i've no choice but to admit that i'm old. It's time for me to feel the effect of it. Work is never ending. Whenever it seems to end, there will always be a new beginning. Breath Taking Auroras.. 9:05 pm Monday, 2 January 2012 The Best Things That Happened In Year 2011. 1) My team and I was featured in The Newspaper for our FYP. 2) I graduated with a Diploma In Aeronautical Engineering. 3) I got a job at Hamilton Sundstrand within 1 month. 4) I was promoted from a QC technician to a Manufacturing Supervisor. 5) I proposed to Xiaomin and ask her to be my wife on 18 Sept 2011. 6) We got a flat in Sengkang (Anchorvale Harvest) I believe its a very good year for me because so many good things happened. 2012 will be a new challenge. But whatever doesn't kills you makes you stronger! I'll battle on and get myself enrolled into a Uni! Thanks for putting up with my nonsense, my short coming, my insensitivity and many other more. Breath Taking Auroras.. 11:01 pm Sunday, 8 May 2011 My girlfriend is special and unqiue. And I dare to say that none of yours is like mine. Why do I say so? Example We decided to catch a movie on Friday night for "Thor" at 2050hrs at The Cathay. Hence I told her to cross buy the tickets over at CWP on Thursday because this will save us the time and also the extra cost of booking online. She told me that if she is able to get hold of her Mum's passion card, each ticket will cost only $7 instead of $9.50. But when Friday came, she told me that she is feeling rather tired and lazy to travel back home to get the passion card from her mum,and hence cross bought the tickets for $9.50. Understandable. When we bought our pop corn,drinks and nachos, we head in and seated in our respective seats. Everything still good right? When the cinema lights begin to dim and eventually turns off,a couple approached us and enquire us if we had taken the right seats? I was postively sure and hence answered a Yes and took out my movie stub. To my amaze, my outstanding gf had actually got the Thurday ticket instead of a Friday. We hurried out and check the stub again. And its the fact. A Thursday movie ticket with a cost of a Friday price. Priceless. What a wonderful first time with her again. Till then. More stories to of her to come. I strongly believe. See you when i see you. Breath Taking Auroras.. 7:14 pm Tuesday, 19 April 2011 Its been awhile. Too long for awhile I guess. But I'm back with good news which I'm happy about for myself and those that loved me. I have managed to get employed under a prestigous company named Hamilton Sunstrand. Its a company which manfactures aircraft components and I'm part of it as a QC Tech. Just earlier today at 0800hrs, I went for a safety course which stretch all the way to 1700hrs at Tradehub21 which is at Jurong East. It was pretty easy because I slept/iphone/doodle on my paper throughout the course. But eventually I passed the test of course and got certified. So next big thing would be a huge step in my life. A brand whole new chapter in my life! I'm starting a full time job as a working personnel! I've really waited a long time for this day since that I'm a pretty slow starter compared to the main body out there. But nevertheless, better slow than never! I've got a good feeling about everything. Time to go 110% full force full drive for work! Till then! See you when i see you! Breath Taking Auroras.. 7:48 pm Thursday, 10 March 2011 I going to make full use of this unemployment to good use. First of all, I had applied for ATC under CAAS, Emirates Group (Dubai), Cathay Pacfic (Hongkong), SASEL, Rolls Royce and IECO. Hope at least one of them would give me a reply real soon. Really need a job badly. Don't want to be a leech to the family anymore. Time to work and contribute back to the family and soceity. Secondly, during this free time, I manage to get myself into RT by army. Not an wasy job to do. Because you've to fail your IPPT in order to get in. Anyway, Yes, I've failed. But despite the training are on Thursday and Sunday, I force myself to do at least 2 cardio sports everyday to burn away the calories and most importantly, to slim down. I use to be able to swim for 20 consecutive breaststroke and now, I'm still able. But on top of that, just today, about an hour earlier, I push myself to the limit. I swam 11 laps of freestyle and 10 laps of breaststroke. I'm really bad at freestyle, but at the same time I'm proud that I manage to swam for 11 laps of it. Now I'm pretty tired but its ok. I know that I've sweat it out, and I feel good about it. RT in the evening, another sweat it out exercise! Till then. See you when i see you. Breath Taking Auroras.. 10:09 am Wednesday, 2 March 2011 Today marks the last paper I had in SP. Although I know that I'm happy that I've finally finish what I started and also being able to hang on to it since year 1. But there are somethings that just make parting difficult. Things like now we know that we won't have anymore school holidays. Time spent together as a class. Time spend together playing poker and disturbing one another whenever we have the time. And also not forgetting the time when we all suffered together mugging from the early morning to late at night. SP has been a fruitful and an enjoyable experience in my life. There are lots of memories left behind in my heart especially the 3rd year. Which is our FYP. Shitty days but it's over and we were rewarded with a full page article in The Newpapers. Ok in tired. Not a very difficult paper but I doubt I can score because I wasn't prepared for it. Well, anyway, its over. Just can't wait to graduate and start working. See you when i see you Breath Taking Auroras.. 10:29 pm Thursday, 10 February 2011 If I were to have a house of my home next time, no matter how small it is, I'm gonna have a dining table. To me, a dining table is where a family dines together, where we share our daily lives, where we listen to what other family member got to say. Its a way that I'm brought up and I'm proud of it. It's also a way I wish to preserve and pass it on to my kids and hopefully even further. Head over to XP house earlier on to "bai nian" with buddy, Fabian. Actually it was suppose to be on Saturday, but both of us got something on, hence brought forward to today. Looking at XP's boy, Jayden, then I realise that I'm really old. Friends around me are slowly getting married and having kids/flat/carrer. It makes me think if I've chosen the correct path in studying after army. Something that I'm rather unhappy about my decision is that I should had work after my ITE and take part time Diploma in Ngee Ann Poly. Afterall, it takes just 3 years for a part time diploma in Ngee Ann. The same amount of time I spent in SP as a full time student. Hope I'll be able to send out my resume by this weekend. Breath Taking Auroras.. 9:41 pm Monday, 7 February 2011 Happy labbit year folks! Well well, its the 5th day now, and how much weight have you gained?! If you are gaining weight, all I can say is that I'm damn proud of you to be in my club! If you're not, LEAVE! This new year is pretty interesting apart from the usual house visitings and collecting angbaos. We also have a "cat" year in Vietnam. Isn't that nice? Its like cats are often being compared to dogs, and frankly speaking not alot people can accept cats. I admit I can accept dogs better than cats, but after being with Min, I prefer cats now more than dogs. Why? Because they doesn't need alot of attention and clearing up. Another interesting part is that my bball friends and I visited Wei liang's house. I know WL for 10 years+ but never once visited his house, this also applies to some of our friends. And so we went for visiting. WL's mum noted that most of us came for the first time, and actually told Bernice to whisper the house no. while us, the guys, shouted "HUAT ARHZ!!". After which we went to buy the number and surprisingly, it came out in starters, but not the exact number. Only WL was rewarded because he bought it in IBet. Nevertheless it still works! But I do know that even if neutral with them, I don't hit them or even burn them. There have been too many abuse animals case lately and it really hurts me whenever I see the video. They wanted to me go down tomorrow for a computer test but I told them I couldn't make it because of school. And on top of that I also told them that I'm still currently studying, just that I'm applying it early. When she asked when am I graduating, I told her March. But this was too late for them as their class starts on Feb. And to make things worse, their next intake is on Sept. Sigh. Guess I really have no fate in ATC. Looks like I'll try it some other time. Apprantely, my NS unit had won the Best Enginner unit, hence treating all of us to Escape Theme Park. Upon reaching there, we inpro and then threw away the ticket. This allow us to leave immediately which all of us think that its a very good idea. Sat down at Burger King with them and chatted for awhile. Its been so long seeing all of them especially I'm one of the few that didn't went back for ICT. Good meet up! When jalan jalan with min in the late evening and had Thai Express together at city link mall. The set meal is really worth it and most importantly, Min likes it. =) Min bought a brand new Lumix camera for herself and a new wallet for me! Thank you dear! I'm currently trying to get my CV ready for job interview. Not a fantastic one but I hope it would be attractive enough. Anyway should I include the newspaper article in it too? If I'm gonna apply for a MRO job, I guess that article would be pretty useless. Anyway talking about CV and article, I'm pretty surprise that Darren, my ITE lecturer which now is a section head has also seen it. He told me that he was telling everyone in the office that Brian and I was his students! Proud of us! CNY is round the corner, and which also means exams. So tired of tests and exams. Why is life full of tests and exams? Does all this really defines a man? Or its only through this tests that a man can excel? "If you want to test a man, the best thing is to give him power" That is something which I think its pretty true. If a man has a weak willed, he will soon abuse it. But if the man is capable of something great, that power of his will soon benefits those around him and put to great use. Till then. See you when i see you. Breath Taking Auroras.. 10:37 pm Saturday, 8 January 2011 Its over! Spinnovex is over! And so is our project, still I wish. We got alot of thumbs up from various lecturer and also alot of hospitals ranging from Kwong Hwi Shiu Hospital to St Luke Hospital and to even Khoo Teck Phua Hospital. All of them show great interest in our project and told us to carry on developing it. Its a good sign that this thing is gonna work when all this hospitals and rehabs centre gave us the yes, it's very innovative and good. This is what we really want to achieved and not forgetting what we wanna hear from our end user. So at the end of the day, we spent 9 months doing this FYP. Spending countless hours in school, including weekends and New Year Eve. And not forgetting staying till the wee hours like 1am or even 4am for some of my teammates. So did it really pay off? At the closing ceremony today, almost 60 teams got the Gold award for the project. And yes, we are one of the 60. But we were really thinking, so what we got Gold, its not that rare compared to the limited silver and bronze award. We feel that SP is giving away too much Gold award, so much so that it made the Gold seems like the tar you found on road. Right now, our team/project is offered to enter a competiton held by the Insitiute of Engineers Singapore. FYI, its not that our project is good or what, it just happen to fit into the category of helping the elderly moving around with ease. And also, we are also told that we might be invited to showcase our project in a MOE convention. All this are just told to us, but no actual assurance is given yet, hence I'm just penning it down as a thought. Many things have pass, and many more to come. I shall hold on to what I have, and face whatever that is throw to me in the future. I'm so ready for work. Till then. See you when i see you. Everything is up and ready to be showcase, we really hope that there would be no more changes to it. We are so sick and tired of it. Really. Our project is selected as one of the 3 to be demostrate tomorrow on a handing over ceremony of SPcare. And we are suppose to showcase its capability and functions. Good luck to all of us! The good thing is, our leader, Zheng Long will be back from Holland tomorrow. One more person back on team! This whole month would be so tedious and hectic due to FYP and lots of aassignment left undone. Got to finish all of those asap and continue study for another 3 months before farking off from SP.
